Down to Earth: Felix x MC Fan Fiction

Hey y’all. This is my first full-length fic and I’m so excited to write this. Just a warning this fic will contain spoilers to ALL Last Legacy routes. I am going to try and keep this close to canon but I will take some “creative liberties.” I plan to have about 10 chapters (give or take) with a prologue and epilogue. This will be written from the MC’s perspective, similar to the style as Last Legacy is written. I don’t have a planned upload schedule at the moment so it’s pretty much I’ll update when I feel up to it.

A summary of this fic: It takes place after Chapter 13 of Felix’s route. After being killed by Rime the Astrolabe saves MC and Felix by sending them back to Earth. The pair have to find a way back to Astrea and help their friends and family. After numerous failed attempts they realize they are stranded. Felix struggles with the new magicless world he’s in and tries to come to terms with the fact that his whole existence is simply fiction in his partner’s reality. MC takes advantage of the time they have on Earth with Felix and tries to show him the best parts of their home. As time goes on they start to question if they are ready to leave this all behind if they are ready to stay forever in Astrea.

Hi Ozzy! I have this brain worm/au that I want to share but im not super sure if it follows the rules. If doesn't thats totally chill feel free to ignore this.

I propose that Mc died when they were pulled through a portal via touching the astrolabe & Mc(current) is a magic Frankenstein creation of sorts. Like being transported to astrea from earth is Very Intense when you think about it. Astraea isn't just a new world, it's within a different dimension where there are multiple realms(the 100 hells being at least 1 other). Relics have been shown to be semi-sentient & protect/preserve their chosen wielder(like in Sage's Route).

So Mc(original) was being shredded to ribbons when they were pulled by Felix's relic/magic through time, space, & different fabrics of reality. The astrolabe uninhibited any form of laws of creation or healing while between universes was able to preserve some part of Mc's essence & made up whatever was missing w/ its own magic & Felix's magic. A messy rubber band ball of powerful spellwork under tension. Mc(current) is inhuman being made almost entirely of magic, & is a perfect clone w/ some implanted memories of earth.

I'm kinda proud of it may or may not be very good, however, *slaps hood of au* you can fit so much angst & hurt/comfort into this.

Anon, have you ever heard of the Ship of Theseus (sometimes referred to as the Argo Dilemma)? For the uninitiated - or those who don't want to click the link - I'll summarize;

There's an old ship. Some of it is falling apart so you have to replace the wooden planks. Then the mast breaks so you have to replace that. Then the sails rip. So on and so on. Eventually every piece of the ship has been replaced. So, is it still the Ship of Theseus? Or is it a new ship entirely?

Your idea might not be exactly the same, but I still think it's a question that will haunt MC as they try to piece together their fractured, missing memories and adjust to no longer being human. Felix asks them to tell him their life - Anisa asks them to tell her about Earth - Sage asks them to tell him about their family - and they start crying because they just don't remember.

at first they completely distance themself from their feelings for you, but stede encourages the entire crew to embrace and accept love and for once they listen to him and express their feelings for you a month later. and it's like. super casual and blunt

ok so. im not entirely sure how affectionate they'd be, i think it just varies from day to day, like one day they'll be cuddling up to you and hugging you and the next they'll be quiet and reserved. they still love you on those days and you know that, it's very obvious it's just they have days where the affection gets a little too much for them and too hard to convey

lets you touch their knives, which absolutely no one else is even allowed to look at

the type to absolutely love and hate the comfortable silences at the same time. they love it because it allows them time to unwind while still being in your presence and they love just glancing over at you to see you relaxed, but they hate it because your conversations aren't replacing the silence

they love to hear ypu passionately talk about something

will protect you like a feral dog, and to add to it, i wouldnt be suprised if they actually bit someone in the process too

someone insults you? dead. someone teases you? dead. someone upsets you? very dead. someone tries to hit on you multiple times, even after a warning? very very dead

their favourite moments with you are tje personal moments that the two of you will treasure forever, they have no meaning to anyone else, but they mean the world to the two of you

them teaching you how to throw knives, you teaching them how to be a bit more forgiving, braiding their hair, lying in a flower meadow on a hill with them, being able to see the revenge down below, secretly holding hands under the table and softly smiling at eachother, them twirling you around in their arms on a warm, sandy beach, them threatening a shop keeper to lower the price on a ring for you, playfully sword fighting with them, neither of you would dare actually hurt eachother so you both end up unharmed

i mean it's basically canon that they're thw big spoon so

will make a giant effort to learn new things for you. in need for first aidm? jim learnt it a month ago for this exact situation so they could help and impress you at the same time. need help with like backing music if you sing? jim's your person, they'll lewrn the entire instrument for you

will literally let nothing tear the two of you apart, you're always glued to eachother's side

i can see the two of you getting matching tattoos, you would expect jim to hate the idea, but they're the exact opposite

great gift giver. their gifts are simoke yet special and sentimental, you can always tell they put so much efort into picking our the gift because it's always perfect

tries to keep you away from the rism of being their partner as much as often, like nobody outside of the crew knows about your relationship because they're scared that if they get discovered and arreated then you will too

and let's just say no one will he opening their mouths anytime soon after those threats polite words from jim. you could've sworn izzy's door had a lot more stab marks than usual the next morning

i feel like they'd get jealous very easily, like they don't mean to and they always feel guilty for assuming the worst, but it's just a habit
