^ THIS!!!

I hundert percent agree with you! As we see with recent Disney remakes, even if they try to make the films look great, they heavily lack a lot. Where is the expressiveness? Where is the altered sense of reality? Where is the MAGIC?

Real life films can try to be fantasy as they want, but it's still very similar to our world. And what are films other than captured fantasy where you can go bonkers on EVERYTHING?

-- I really don't understand why people call animation "only for kids".

I don’t know why, but I like animated movies more than movies with real actors. Even when I was a really young kid I always prefered animation. I got dissapointed and bored if humans do something, but hella excited if animals or stylized people are involved. And this never changed and honestly never will. I got mocked in school for it and sometimes get weird glares now as an adult. Many people still label animation and stylization as a childish thing, even when there’s a lot of adult centered contend too. This is so dump, it’s almost like you are not allowed to enjoy nice things once you get older.

I think I like animation more, because it’s more expressive. The feelings and thoughts are understandable described with more revealing facial expressions and gestures. This makes it way easier for me to understand the personel values of others, because humans tend to hide it more and I kinda have sometimes troubles reading a face. I learned the differences better with exaggerated examples.

Also, animation is just plain out beautiful. Everything that happens, even physical rules, can be alterned to whole new aesthetic values. Created things are like a direct window to the imagination of others and the view is artistically inspiring.

ALSO also, despite many movies are targeted for kids they often include themes, topics and struggles that are interessting at any age. Sometimes these movies reveal ethical questions, that can’t be answered with a fixed answer and why this is sometimes important. In fact, many movies can lead to fascinating discussions and theories when certain details get pointed out, which are almost impossible to realize at the first look.

ALSO Also also, despite being an adult myself, I still don’t like adult content. Because animated things are mostly child targeted, I can be assured to be in a safe bubble without any sensible stuff like gore, heavy violence, pornographie, etc. Yeah, call me a sensible snowflake, but I really despise these. Of course some mediums like anime have these topics included, but these are often strictly pointed out. But in cases like Disney movies for example I won’t ever find these.

Also … did I mentioned that I like animated movies a lot?

My First Attack On Art Attack Against Team Spice @optimistic-wormof Their Character Obscurity.I Tried

My first attack on Art Attack against Team Spice @optimistic-worm of their character Obscurity. I tried to add japanese houses, but boy architecture is hard. Went for rice fields instead. I like the idea of this floaty 10 foot tall creature observing nature... can relate to that. Hope you like it!
