Go for it! As much as I love the retellings of The Odyssey from different povs, I would really like to know his side.

And if it gets published, I will 100% read it 🫡

I have been thinking for a while writing a book about Telemachus. However, I need help with some decisions. Firstly, i don't know in which language i should write it, Greek or English? Sometimes it is way easier for me to write in English and i can become really poetic, despite these, im always afraid of grammar errors and lack of beautiful language and words, even if im very educated and good in English there is always this fear. On the other hand, Greek is my native language so maybe it will be easier. Even though i have never tried to write a book in Greek, only school essays not even in a diary. But im also very good at writing in Greek and i can think plenty of quotes BUT also sometimes i cannot TwT.

Secondly, would it be better if i begin the story from when Telemachus was an infant or during the age of 20?

Thirdly, I don't know whether i should write it in past or present tense ;-;

Fourthly, i DESPISE the Telegony and even though i admire and loved the book circe i hate the fact that she had a son with Odysseus and killed him afterwards moreover that she gets married to Telemachus. I really don't want to be getting to that part and i believe that it would be hard for me.

why do you dislike the telegony so much? (I'm not arguin, the ending with the marriages is weird af, but I'm just interested to hear you're thoughts)

To be honest, my opinion is a little biased because I love the Iliad and Odyssey so much, esp Odysseus... But the main reason I don't like it is:

1.) yea, the marriage mom-son trade is VERY weird

2.) Odysseus running off for another queen is so contradicting to what happened in the Odyssey where he travelled 10 years from Troy to Ithaca, killing 108 suitors (and servants who aided them), and Odyssey shows that he loves Penelope very much.

3.) Another is the part where Tiresias foretold that Odysseus will die peacefully; however in the Telegony, Odysseus dies by Telegonous' poisoned spear (given by Circe) which doesn't seem like a peaceful death to me.

Overall I personally don't like the Telegony because it's contradictory to the Odyssey and it's a lost story for a reason /j

it's just my opinion and I don't mind if people like the story, it's just not my cup of tea

To my knowledge all auditions as of right now are closed! I will most definitely update y’all if that changes though (I might even try to audition if I can). Im not entirely sure he will do an open audition… As for Telemachus, I think Jorge voices him? In addition to Odysseus? I could be wrong though!
