After the EF5 Scott was shaken he realized how close he was to death and hiding in a ditch made it more real
Scott realized how bad his uncle was and cut ties with the man
Scott also then made up with Javi after awhile and apologized for being a complete asshole

He then wants to know how the tornado stopped
