"You Hate Everything! Seriously, You Hate Everything! You Hate The Sound Of Children Playing And You

"You hate everything! Seriously, you hate everything! You hate the sound of children playing and you hate all your living relatives and you hate people who wear sunglasses, even during the day, and you hate going to dinner, which you know I love, you hate colors, pillows, ribbons, you hate everything. I can't be the only thing you like. And maybe I can deal with your black soul better when I'm older, but I can't handle it now so maybe you have to go change and then we can be in love in another time." - Shoshanna of GIRLS

We were forced to be friends because of work, and we’re probably not going to hang out after this. Working with you was hard and you frustrated me and you wore me out, but because the heart is not properly connected to the human brain, I love you and I’m going to miss you. But tonight might be it.

Liz Lemon to Tracy Jordan, on tonight’s series finale of “30 Rock.” Read Hank Stuever’s review of the “sharp-witted” farewell and the enduring ethos of the show. (via washingtonpoststyle)

Aya: Life In Yop City Is A Graphic Novel About A Girl In The Ivory Coast Written By Marguerite Abouet

“Aya: Life in Yop City” is a graphic novel about a girl in the Ivory Coast written by Marguerite Abouet and drawn by Clement Oubrerie.  I love this book.  It is a look inside of an African teenager’s life of love, hope, friendship, family, and other adventures that have not been touched upon by other authors.  Aya hopes to become a doctor and hangs out with her friends at the dancehall or around town.  The artwork is quirky and colorful.  I enjoyed this book and Aya was a likable character since she was the levelheaded one in her group.  You will cry and laugh along with the characters in this book.  I want to read everything Abouet has written now.
