Reason Number 1: The Folklore (Shinigamis and Hollows).

Based on japanese folklore, the characters are basically samurai ghost-busters with some really cool katanas, well named attacks, awesome magics and i really catchy BATTLE CRY, with the purpose of exterminate the hollows and maintein balance on all the Universe.
