YIXING: “I just want to say that not all boys like skinny girls, everyone has their own unique charm, and everyone also has different ideal types. As long as you meet someone who understands your charm and knows your worth, you should not live for other people's wishes. It's important that you love and live for yourself, so I hope that you guys should not deliberately go on an extreme diet.”
Q: During a concert MENT you said, “Don’t go on a diet, you’re all beautiful.” What do you mean by that? -The EXO’luXion Photobook Lay Interview

Its 2018 and we still have to say NOT to wear racist costumes. There’s been multiple articles from blogs and magazines such as Teen Vogue, not to wear a racist costume. Jihyo is dressed in a inaccurate costume of an indigenous woman with gashes and wounds. Its problematic because over 84% Native American women will experience violence in their lives, over 56% of Native American women (experiencing the highest amount of sexual assault across the country) will experience sexual abuse in their lives, and over 90% of Native American Women have been assaulted by a non tribal member. THIS IS NOT CUTE AND THIS IS NOT JUST A COSTUME. Jihyo gets to go home as a Korean in a country where she does not experience racism and the hundreds of years of abuse where Native American women have. Please stop appropriating Native culture and please stop wearing these racist costumes. If you are not Native American don’t tell me not to be upset or she made a mistake, get your head out of your ass and stop being in denial, this is extremely offensive. Jihyo will not be forgiven unless she gives an apology herself.
Update: Jihyo as well did a war cry at the concert which is also offensive to Natives since it is a sound Natives made in war whenever someone was lost in battle or during an attack.
