You left yours behind for one simple fact: No one will know who you are. If you became prevalent in the future, questions will be made about your history. Where did you come from? Who were you before you died? What sent you down here?

If it became known you never existed in their human world to begin with... You didn't want to think about all the killer intent point at you like darts. All it takes is one perfectly or lucky aimed shot.

You sip your tea. Rosie certainly is as delightful as you expect. Patiently waiting for you to pick a new name while talking about other subjects. Your abilities, your memories, etc.

You toy with a coin, the only thing to come with you into this world. It's face unique from their time. "Dime," you test.

"What's that, darling?"

"My name." You look up and shrug sheepishly. "I like how Dime sounds."

Rosie smiles brightly and bows slightly in greeting. "It's a delight to properly make your acquaintance, dear Dime."

I've seen so many fics of Laios with a beastman, but I thought I could go with a little spin on it. Let's also tag on a bit of Isekai into the mix.

Laios x Caladrius Reader (Part 1)

One moment you were tucked away in your apartment, doodling away in your notebook; the next, you are a young beastman(?) wandering the world of Dungeon Meshi.

Despite how people treat you, you absolutely adore being a beastman. Because of your unique beast part, that being a magical creature with magical abilities such as healing and whatnot, you happily play around with your phasing in and out of beastform. You soar in the air and that's how you eventually meet Laios.

You meet him and his sister as children. Being a child in a sense yourself, having arrived in this world relatively young, you eagerly reveal yourself to them. You knew you could trust them unlike others. Laios, because of his feelings towards creatures, and Falin, because of how nice she is in general.

They take you in and help you get into magic school with Falin. You meet Marcille, and you spoil her with your love and cuddles. Often engulfing her in your very cozy wings.

Of course, eventually, Laios comes knocking on Falin's window.

Centuries pass before you see each other again. He's changed much from that slick casino cat with fancy suits and easy charm. While you... Frozen. As if unattended to by time's influences.

You enter the hotel with a grace uniquely yours, hair wispy and flowing behind like curling smoke. You take in the familiar surroundings. Had you not known of this place prior to it's creation, you'd think you were having deja-vu.

Charlie chipperly pitches you the mission of the Hazbin Hotel. Her girlfriend beside her as they lead you through the many rooms.

Your eyes snags a familiar pair but let's it go as soon as they meet. Three long silver lines on your hand tingles. His mark on you clear as ever.
