summary: seven men and how you came to date them.

warnings: f reader, fluff, a sprinkle of angst (happy ending, don’t worry), fluffy ending, curse words

a/n: hello! so so sorry for not writing in a hot second 😅 life’s been busy, you know? i promise i’m still working on catharsis, but i’m so excited to try writing for other stories. i apologize if this doesn’t make much sense, i’m just trying to get back into writing!

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Meeting Kim Namjoon was like fate. Who knew going to a new coffee shop would lead to encountering the adorable dimpled man? Knowledgeable in plants and caring, Namjoon is a warm blanket on a rainy day. Warm smiles and cozy conversations lead to a little bit of flirting too, if you will. Finding out he had a boyfriend, let alone six, made your heart squeeze just a bit. Oh, well, his boyfriends are lucky and you can move on.

Kim Seokjin: handsome man who just so happens to move in next door to you. Endearing and sweet, you bond after giving him some welcome cookies. He then proceeds to make you dinner and then the friendship blossoms. Jin often winks and flirts, but never so much to make you uncomfortable. Is there something there? As it turns out, no. Jin is dating someone, and you can’t help but feel a little frustrated. Why didn’t he tell you he was taken?

A little disgruntled but not completely hopeless, Min Yoongi bumps into your life. Literally. Running after his dog he trips and falls straight into your arms. Blushing and embarrassed he apologizes, soon catching his dog and coming back to talk to you. Offering to go to lunch, you accept. Many more lunch ‘dates’ follow, and soon your heart slips and falls just like Yoongi did the first time you met. But it falls flat as Yoongi explains that his cute keychain was made by his boyfriend.

Slightly heartbroken, you motivate yourself to focus on self-care and not dating. You start taking dance classes, where you meet a cute boy who introduces himself as Jung Hoseok. Not only are his moves smooth, his flirting is also. Pushing down the desire to flirt back, you maintain a friendly relationship, mostly ignoring the winks and smooth talking. But, as it always seems, your big dumb heart gets in the way. As smooth as butter you fall for him. This time hope sprouts because even though Hobi has boyfriends (yes, multiple), he says their relationship is open and they wouldn’t mind dating a girl too. He just hopes someday he can introduce them to you.

Park Jimin comes in one day to pick up Hobi, and that’s when you realize that all other flirting was mild compared to Jimin’s. He’s the little shit who’s always trying to ‘woo’ you. Which at first was awkward, but then Hobi explained that this was one of his boyfriends, and that Jimin would flirt with anything that breathes. To which Jimin pouted but then shrugged and agreed. Jimin’s flirty side is often present, but his soft side is even more adorable.

With you dating two perfect men, your heart is so full but you still feel a bit empty. No, you tell yourself, you’re so lucky to have your Hobi and your Chim, don’t be ungrateful.

Turns out your talks don’t work very well because after going bowling with some friends you meet Kim Taehyung. After offering to buy you nachos you two hit it off. You proudly explain that you’re dating two amazing men, but before you can tell him their names another stunning man comes to get ‘Tae’ as it’s his turn to bowl. A brief introduction and you find out it’s Taehyung’s boyfriend Jungkook. Watching them bowl is the most endearing thing you’ve ever seen. Once in a while Taehyung will flash a grin in your direction, making your heart zing! Oh, what those eyes do to you.

Taehyung, after only meeting up a couple times, considers you and him to be best friends. And because you’re best friends, you’re required to go with him and his hoy boyfriend Jeon Jungkook wherever he wants. Jeon Jungkook is a man infatuate with love. Love for Taehyung. Even though he may look intimidating (intimidatingly hot) with his tattoos and lip ring, Jungkook couldn’t be more of a boba ball. Watching him makes you think chivalry isn’t dead after all. You find it hard to believe that someone could love another more than Hobi and Jimin love you, but here you are.

Hobi and Jimin are the only two dating you, and you’ve always wondered how that works with their other five boyfriends. But, when you ask, they just wave it off, saying ‘Our relationship is very open. We all trust each other and always communicate before making a move.’ Shrugging it off, you bask in their love as long as you can. Until one day they say it’s time for you to meet the rest of their boyfriends.

~

The fateful day arrives. Hobi and Jimin continue to reassure you, but you’re still immensely nervous. To make you comfortable, you all meet at their house mansion.

Twisting the door handle nervously, you step inside, flanked by Hobi and Jimin. Eyes blown wide in shock, you survey the other five men in the living room. All men whom you know. Warm Namjoon, confident Jin, intelligent Yoongi, your best friend Taehyung, and finally, Jeon fucking Jungkook.

Taehyung is the first to run over. ‘You’re dating Hobi hyung and Jimin hyung?!’

Jungkook trails behind, as he always does (a lovesick puppy is the analogy you use), ‘So you’re the mysterious girl they’re dating…’

Hugging Taehyung while still in a daze, you glance around at the other men in the room. How is it possible that you never put the pieces together? Of course these men would love Namjoon so dearly, adore Jin’s confidence, make Yoongi a handmade keychain, relish Hoseok’s sunny smile, give Jimin the attention he deserves, get lost in Tae’s eyes, and baby their maknae Jungkook.

It all makes sense now.

You see Namjoon and Jin give each other a look, Namjoon saying “Jin! Why didn’t you tell me this was the beautiful neighbor of yours?”

You blush slightly, partly because of the compliment and partly because Taehyung was currently clinging to you like an overgrown puppy.

“Can we date you too? Pleeeeeease?” He begs cutely, not fully understanding the implications of that.

“Hey, leave her alone you rascal,” Yoongi says, trying, and failing, to pry Taehyung off of me.

You hear a voice calling your name and you twist your head to look (Taehyung and Jungkook are now holding onto you). It’s Jimin.

“Why don’t you explain the whole thing to us?” Jimin asks, looking as confused as Hobi.

You nod, and slowly walk over to the couch and sit, Taehyung and Jungkook on either side of you.

“Okay, well…I’m not entirely sure how to start,” you explain sheepishly, trying to calm your pulsing heart.

“Just explain how you somehow know all of our boyfriends,” Hobi says, also trying and failing to wrestle the maknaes off of me.

And you do. Starting with Namjoon, you explain how you met him at a coffee shop.

“So that explains why Joon was always sneaking off! Huh, no wonder, no one drinks that much coffee except Yoongi,” Jimin says, earning a small shove from Yoongi.

You then proceeded to tell them that after finding out Namjoon was taken, you had met Jin.

“I brought him cookies and then we started hanging out more often-“

Namjoon bursts out laughing.

“He didn’t even mention cookies! And that’s a surprise because he loves to cook. All he could talk about was how beautiful his new neighbor was,” Namjoon teases.

“Yah! Am I wrong? She’s almost as beautiful as me!”  Jin says indignantly.

Heat flushes to your face yet again and you stare at the ground.

“Guys please, you’re just making her nervous. Let her finish her story,” Hobi chides.

You tell them about how you found Yoongi after Jin, a grin forming on your lips. They all start laughing as you say that Yoongi tripped while running after his dog.

“You-you tripped? While chasing Holly?” The maknaes can barely control themselves, their whole bodies shaking with laughter.

“Look, you don’t get to be like that. I’ve seen you trip when the food arrives,” Yoongi grumbles, small dusting of pink on his cheeks.

He looks so cute, you think. Wait, what?

“Okay, okay. Let’s hear the rest of the story,” Yoongi says, trying to take the attention off of him.

“I think I know what comes next!” Hobi says excitedly.

You feel your heart warm as you recount how you met Hobi and Jimin and then started dating both of them. The boys nod, glad to finally hear the story.

“And then I met Tae,” you say fondly, glancing to the man on your left. His eyes sparkle as you tell the story, starting with the bowling alley.

“Now we’re besties!” Tae says, bouncing excitedly on the couch, “Since we’re already besties, I think we should date!”

“Tae. You can’t just assume that. You have to respect her boundaries and her choices,” Jimin tries to explain.

“I know…but please? Can we at least try it?” Tae begs, looking at me with those dark chocolate puppy eyes.

“We haven’t finished the story yet! I want to hear how you met Jungkookie,” Hobi says pointedly.

“Fine…” Tae whines, earning a chuckle from Hobi.

You share how Tae and Jungkook were dating when you met Tae, so by default you got to know Jungkook. You often went on ‘dates’ with them, third-wheeling at its finest.

“Okay, now we’re done,” Jin says to Tae, “And I think that we all have something we want to ask.”

Hobi and Jimin look at each other, already seeming to know what the question was.

“Okay guys, don’t keep me in suspense. Ask me!” You say nervously, wondering if they were going to ask you to break up with Hobi and Jimin.

“Well…”  Namjoon starts, swallowing nervously.

“We were wondering if you would be interested in dating all of us,” Yoongi states matter-of-factly.

“Hyung! You didn’t have to say it that brashly,” Jungkook whispers loudly.

“Whatever, you all were going to ask it anyway. This way we get a quicker response,” Yoongi shrugs as the boys fall silent, waiting for your answer.

You can barely function at the question. Date all seven of them? You barely feel that you deserve Hobi and Jimin.

“If you don’t want to it’s okay,” Namjoon says, trying to assure you.

Looking at all of their faces makes your heart flip. Namjoon with his dimples (that you want to poke so badly), Jin and his perfect features, Yoongi’s gummy smile, Hobi and his heart lips that you love to kiss, Jimin’s squishy cheeks and crescent eyes, Tae’s chocolate orbs (which you swear can light up the universe), and Jungkook’s cute boba ball qualities.

You smile, having made up your mind.

“I’d love to give it a try.”

Tae hugs you immediately, making you fall back on the couch.

And with that, you could tell that you made the right decision.

Rainy Days, Mysterious Notes, And Wet Apologies (8)

Why is it so damn hot?!

I sat up so I could see my bed and figure out why I was so hot, glancing to my left I quickly ripped back the blankets expecting it to just be tangled up, but what I saw was far from that. Lying beside me was Hoseok, his orange fox ears flattened on his head, he groaned before shuffling around a bit and reaching for the blankets without opening his eyes, he pulled them back up to his head so you would only be able to see his hair and ears.

What on earth is he doing here!

I pulled the blankets back down away from him again hoping that my mind was playing tricks with me, and it wasn’t really Hoseok in my bed, he let out an annoyed sigh before sitting up, his hair was messy and sticking out all over the place, he barely opened his eyes as he faced towards me.

"Will you stop that? I'm trying to sleep."

"W-What are you doing in my bed?" I said to him still a little freaked out.

"We told you there was no room on the couch, and you said you would give us your bed if there was enough room, and there is." He explained as he kept patting the bed looking for the blankets which I kept moving slightly further away from him.

"That’s not what I meant! I meant that you - wait, we? -"

"Will you two be quiet and stop moving? Some of us want to keep sleeping." Said a tired voice, I glanced to where the voice came from, I let out a scream as I saw another person in my bed.

Why is everyone in my bed!

At the end of the bed, lying sideways was another bunch of blankets, this one had black cat ears sticking out the top along with black hair, the sound of someone shushing me filled my ears as I turned back to Hoseok. He had his finger to his lips indicating me to be quiet, he slowly moved his finger over to my lips before grabbing the blankets and lying back down.

"I- "

Hoseok’s hand shot up, covering my mouth again stopping me from talking. "No more talking, Y/n." He said sleepily and then put his arm back down and into the blankets. He shuffled a bit more before stilling, I could still see the slight rise and fall under the blanket from his breathing. I turned to look back at Yoongi, he had slightly shifted, but seemed as though he had gone straight back to sleep.

What the...

I didn't want to wake the boys again, they clearly wanted to sleep, and they obviously needed it, I slowly slid out from under the covers and tried to neaten up my side of the bed before rounding and headed into the bathroom to wash up. When I came back out both boys were still sleeping in the bed, the blankets were tossed and messy, but they seemed comfortable, so I crept out and closed the door trying not to disturb them. Walking into the kitchen I saw most of the other boys sitting around doing their own thing, it was mid-morning, so most of them were awake, opening the fridge I grabbed out some milk to make cereal, as I was choosing which flavour I heard knocking at the front door, the boys must have heard it too as their conversations died down and their attention was now focused on the door.

As I made my way to the door some of the boys followed behind, they seemed to be a bit on edge, but followed me none the less, curios as to who was here since I never mentioned anyone coming over, I unlocked the door pulling it open, on the other side, stood Jiyoon.

"Hey Y/n, I just came to- " Her words seemed to fall short as I saw her glance behind me, her gazed lingered at the boys behind me while I scratched my brain trying to remember why she was here.

"Oh crap, Yeah, I'll go get it. I totally forgot you were coming by.” I confessed to her, I had forgotten that she was coming over to pick up the ointment I borrowed and her food processor, she let me borrow it a few weeks ago for a recipe, since I don't have my own. I opened the door wider for her to come in, she seemed hesitant, but followed me anyways, I turned the corner and began digging through the cupboard trying to get out the appliance which I pushed to the back along with all the other unused containers, lugging out the large object, I plopped it onto the bench and turned to Jiyoon.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't even introduce you guys. Jiyoon this is Jungkook, Jimin and Seokjin, they're staying with me until the storm passes." I explained to her feeling a bit guilty.

"O-oh, uh, nice to meet you… guys." She said as she reached for the processor, her eyes seemed to wander around until she looked towards the couch clearly noticing the other two boys, Taehyung and Namjoon, who were watching the interaction from afar, the boys seemed to nod at her greeting before she made her way back to the door. "Thanks Y/n."

I smiled letting her know she was welcome, and just like that as fast as she got here, she was gone, so I went back to making my cereal and eating at the table, Jimin came over to sit with me and shortly after Jungkook came to sit down too. It didn't take long before it was time for us to head out so the maintenance could come and fix the sink, it took some time to wake up the two men occupying my bed and after some whining, pleading and making a deal, which they definitely came out on top of, we eventually all got out the door and headed for the elevator.

Once the doors opened, I stepped out looking around before spotting some seating over by a window, I made my way over with all the boys following behind me. I saw a few people glance our way, but I paid them no mind, we made it over to the seats and everyone sat down in their own chairs that were situated around a small coffee table.

"Okay, maintenance said that it would take an hour or two, so we'll be here for a bit." I smiled at the boys. "They have a small library and cafe if we get hungry and I bought some card games if you want." I placed the deck of uno cards on the table and went searching through my bag again getting out my phone and notepad just in case, the small coffee table had various magazines and what looked to be a biography, which Namjoon had picked up and started reading.

Yoongi sat to the left of me and Namjoon to my right, Jungkook and Jimin sat opposite me and they seemed to look a bit awkward and kept looking over to me, deciding to ignore their antics I instead looked around the lobby, I could see Yeonjun over at the service desk area chatting with Soobin another worker, they seemed to notice me and sent a small wave, looking over to the entrance, coming in wet from the outside rain was Jessi, her long hair was clinging to her skin as she quickly grabbed a towel from a cart, she looked around and met eyes with smile giving a polite smile, although far away I could still see the confusion that was on her face as she looked over our way before looking away.

I turned again, but this time someone was in the way, Yoongi, he still looked just as tired as when I woke him up before, he seemed to relax more, but still kept his eyes barely open, his hair was a bit messy so I reached forward, leaning on my chair, using my finger I swept away a chunk of hair from his face and tucked it back so it wouldn’t bother him, I noticed some fur on his black cat ears that was sticking out, like someone brushed it the wrong way, I moved my hand further up and ran it over the uneven fur a few times before it started to match in better with the rest before smiling at my handy work and bringing my hand back down to my lap.

Yoongi turned to face me, he seemed a bit shocked, but I didn’t give him time to say anything as I turned around to look out the window.

Most of the boys fell into their own conversations and thankfully time was passing fast, my chair was closest to the window, so I spent my time watching the rain and plants. The rain was torrential now, heavy and nonstop, the clouds were so dark that everything had dark shadows over it. But the week was almost ending so this was the last stretch before it started to slow down, I watched as the water droplets landed and slid down the leaves of the plants outside, seeing the droplets race down the window to reach the end at the bottom.

"Y/n, can we go to the cafe?"

I turned around to face the boys again, I smiled and nodded my head before scooping up my belongings and swinging my bag over my shoulder, I waited for the others to stand up and then started heading towards the cafe.

Along the way I spotted Yeonjun again as he made his way over to us. "Hey Y/n, what's up? Everything okay? I don’t see you down here much." He said, stopping in front of me.

"Hey, maintenance is fixing some things in my apartment, so I figured we would go to the cafe." I said to him, I saw him look behind me confused, but smiling politely. "Oh, these are my friends, they all are staying with me for a little while." I explained, giving a quick introduction to each person.

"Well, I have to get back to work, so I'll see you around. It was nice to meet you guys!" Yeonjun said as he hastily made his way back to the front desk. We continued on our way to the cafe, a few people here and there gave a polite wave, except for the couple who lived under me, who just so happened to be sitting at the café entrance, Jangho and Eun, they seemed to glare at us all as we passed by.

Sheesh

Finally, we got inside the cafe and took a seat at a booth, everyone got a menu, and we began looking through them. "Order whatever you guys would like. I think I'm going to get this one." I told them, pointing to what I was interested in and showing to Jungkook who had raced Jimin to sit next to me, he nodded as he looked over the rest of the menu.

I was sitting across from Hoseok, and Taehyung sat next to his right, followed by Yoongi then Namjoon. On my side of the booth Seokjin sat across from Namjoon, followed by Jimin and then came Jungkook who was next to me, thankfully they had booth for 8 people. Once everyone knew what they wanted me and Jungkook went up to the register where the staff took our orders, I felt bad that we had such a large order as I could see her struggling to get everything down on the computer and repeat it back to us, in the end we made sure we had everything and gave her our table number then went back to the booth.

It took a while for the food to come out but when it did, we all dug in, my food was great and looking around the table it seemed that most of the boys liked theirs as well. I quickly grabbed out my notepad flipping a few pages to find the right one before scribbling down some of the things we had ordered.

"What are you doing?" I looked over to see Taehyung and Hoseok looking back at me, Hoseok had his face stuff with food and his cheeks puffed out, he looked just like a chipmunk, their gaze lowered looking at the note pad under my hand.

"Oh, well, I need more ideas for the menu at the cafe, so when I find things that I like, I write them down, so I can research them and see if they'd work for the new menu." I said smiling before looking down to finish the name of the dish.

"What do you need a new menu for?” Yoongi asked. “What’s wrong with the old one?”

“Oh, there’s nothing wrong, but every few months we try and switch it up, try new things, see what popular, and what isn’t.”

I continued to explain to them how a new menu works like an experiment, we see what people like and we keep it on the menu, whatever isn’t selling we’ll we take off the menu, We spent the rest for the time we had at the café talking, I’m sure the staff were annoyed that we didn’t leave, but it wasn’t against the rules or anything, a friend of mine Giselle, had spotted us at some point came over to say hello, we hadn’t seen each other in a while so it was nice to catch up.

We left the café and began walking back to the room, maintenance rang to let me know that they had finished, and we could go back up, the seven hybrids behind me never seemed to fail to catch everyone attention, as I felt many eyes on us during the trip back, everyone got in the elevator, and we pressed the level we needed to go to.

“Hey, Y/n.”

I turned to my side to see Chaeryeong standing there looking at me. “Hey, Chaeryeong, how are you? All this rain? You must be loving it!”

“It’s so calming and I get to spend more time catching up on my shows.” She laughed, we chatted for a bit, and I introduced the boys behind me, Chaeryeong seemed hesitant to greet them, but did none the less, soon enough we got to our level, saying goodbye, we headed back to the apartment.

As soon as we got into the apartment everyone seemed to lay down because they were exhausted from being out and about and from socialising, I checked on the new tap, checking it out and making sure it works before getting started on dinner.

I didn’t tell Seokjin I was cooking this time as I wanted him to rest, since they got here he has been helping around the clock, cleaning, cooking, he even made sure the couch beds were neat. I used some left-over kimchi that my mum had gifted me and some other ingredients to make kimchi stew with and a side of rice, it had been a while since I made a nice hot meal that wasn’t something quick and easy to get me through the night and to the next day. I plated up the food which ended using almost all of my dishes, meaning that I’d probably be up late washing them all, and started placing it on the table in front of the seats, leaving two on the other side for myself and whoever chose to stand up due to the lack of seats.

It didn’t take long for the boys to notice the food was being put out and they all came out from the rooms and areas and began to sit down at the table, all the boys sat down except for Namjoon who stood up as he usually did, once everyone was here, I started eating my food.

I looked up to notice that no one else was eating, they were just kind of looking down at their plates. “Is everything okay? Do you guys not like Kimchi stew? I-I can make something else!” I said suddenly, getting nervous that they didn’t like it, different meals raced through my head, but as I turned to go get something else, someone finally said something.

“No, it’s okay Y/n. It’s just…” Seokjin trailed off stopping his sentence not knowing what to say next and looking around the table.

“This is the first hot home cooked meal that we’ve had in a long time.” Yoongi finished for him, I turned to look at him, he seemed sad, but almost happy at the same time, the room seemed to fall into an odd silence as no one knew what to say next.

“Oh… I see. Well, I hope it’s good then!” I said trying to cheer up the mood, I saw a few smiles break out among all their faces. “Please, eat! I haven’t made any in a while so hopefully it’s as good as I remember.” I said, as I then continued to eat my own food, it took few seconds, but eventually everyone else started eating too.

“Y/n! This is delicious!”

“It’s amazing!”

“Mmmhhff!” The boys gushed at the food which made me blush, I thanked them for the compliments as we all fell into a conversation, laughing and giggling, telling jokes and old stories, it was like the tension from before was completely gone, despite only knowing them for the past few weeks it felt like I had known them all for years. My heart swelled as we all talked over each other, the sound filling the room, I could see the pure happiness on their faces, full of food, but still screaming at each other, and their big smiles, except of one person, Namjoon looked uncomfortable, troubled, almost sad in a way, as though he was fighting a war behind his brown eyes, not truly knowing where he stood on his own battle ground, he put on a fake smile when everyone started laughing and kept his head down eating his food.

Is he alright?

I reached my hand out towards his shoulder, he looked up at me from his slouched position, but just as I was about to ask him, I heard a knock at the door.

Who could that be?

I excused myself from the table and headed over to the door trying to be quick so I could get back, I flicked the lock and pull the door open, but no one was there, I poked my head out and looked left then right, a small glimpse of hair swishing past the corner, too far to make out a colour, but other than that there was no one in sight. It must have been more teens playing games or something by knocking and running, so I stepped back and closed the door.

As the door closed a gush of air from underneath pushed into the hallway, I heard a sound and felt something touch my feet, so I looked down only to find a piece of paper.

That's odd.

I bent down and picked it up carefully, it was a plain piece of paper, regular size, but it was folded in half, hesitantly, I pulled open the paper to see what was inside. Cut up letters from a magazine jumbled around the centre of the paper forming words, there were still some traces of glue around the edges and some of the letters stuck up at their corners.

‘Get those filthy animals out of here!’

What?

My eyes scanned over the paper, over and over again, trying to make sense of the words.

Why would someone leave a note like this?

Surely this is a joke, right?

My hands started shaking slightly as I became lost in my thoughts until someone yelled out to me asking if everything was okay. I couldn't let the boys see this letter, so I quickly scrunched it up and stuffed it into my pocket, turning back and making my way to the table.

Surely that’s just a joke, right?

The note plagued my thoughts for the rest of the night, but I tried my best to still have fun and enjoy the night with the boys, most of them seemed to head to bed around the same time, so after we all said our goodnights, I retreated back into my own room to try and get some sleep.

Rainy Days, Mysterious Notes, And Wet Apologies (8)

‘Get those filthy animals out of here!’

‘Get out! They don’t belong here!’

‘Freaks! Take them back to the pound.’

The words kept repeating over and over in my head.

‘Get those filthy animals out of here!’

‘Get out! They don’t belong here!’

‘Freaks! Take them back to the pound.’

Over the past 2 days I had received two more notes, one for each day that passed, so far the boys hadn’t seen them, but it got pretty close when Namjoon was over near the door, I was able to convince him that they were just bills and I had it covered, though he didn’t seem very pleased when I took the letters off him.

I couldn’t let the boys see these notes, even though their just pranks by some teens, they’d still hurt them. I double checked that all three notes were securely hidden in the top drawer, at the back and under my tissues, I took them out and counted three pieces on folded up paper, I let out a sigh knowing that they were all their and they were safe from their eyes before putting them back in their hiding space and closing the drawer.

I hope they’re just bad jokes from selfish teens. Surely no one would say that stuff seriously, right?

They can’t find out about those.

I sighed as I removed the blankets from over me trying not to disturb the fox and cat hybrids who I had become a custom to in the morning, and slid out from the comfy bed, the sky was looking lighter today, but was still full of clouds. Emerging from my room I spotted a sleepy looking Jungkook sitting on the couch along with a sleeping Namjoon, I saw Seokjin in the kitchen, and I could hear Taehyung and Jimin in the room.

“Morning guys.” I yawned waving at Seokjin as I made my way to the couch sitting down near Jungkook, who seemed to perk up at my entrance and started to move closer to me before Jimin came running out of the room and straight over to us throwing himself half on the couch and half on me, I groaned as the impact came and forced the air out my lungs making me cough a few times before calming down and slightly giggling in my tired state.

Jimin stayed still for a bit, trying to ensure his place before he eventually turned so he was lying on his back with his head resting on my lap, a large cheeky grin adored his features and a couldn’t help but smile back at him.

“Morning Jimin.” I said as I subconsciously moved my hand up to his hair and slightly started to play with it.

“Morning Y/n.” Jimin said as he closed his eyes relaxing. “Did you sleep well?” He asked, as I kept running my fingers through his hair, I looked over to Jungkook who had seemed to deflate, using my spare hand I reached out for his arm and dragged him closer to both me and Jimin.

“I slept well, Hoseok kept moving all night, so I kept waking up.” Both boys seemed to let out an understanding hum which lead me to assume that Hoseok constant twisting and turning last night was normal.

I heard some groaning and we all looked to the other half of the couch, Namjoon groaned again before moving his blanket and getting up off the couch, he seemed to stop for a second and looked at us before he continued on his way to the kitchen.

“You’re my pillow now, Y/n.” Jimin sighed as he turned and moved his hands up to his face before snuggling into my leg. I smiled and giggled at his antics before softly chatting to Jungkook, not wanting to wake up Jimin.

It didn’t take long for Jimin to drift off to sleep, so he must have been quite tired, I kept trying to move my hands away from his hair, but he would wake up and drag my hand right back to where it was, eventually Jimin seemed to be in a deep enough sleep that my movements didn’t bother him, taking advantage of the situation I held up his head before swiftly sliding off the couch and placing his head on Jungkook lap who had agreed to let him rest so I could get up.

I walked over to the kitchen and got myself a cup of water from the new sink, I drank the water while looking out the window, the many plants of the balcony caught my attention, and I decided that id should tend to them.

I slid open the balcony door and squeeze outside with the plants, it didn’t take long for me to get started, I was moving the plants so they would be in the sun when the rain stopped as well as just some general pruning and cleaning up. I was halfway through moving one of the heavier plants when someone decided to come and join me.

I didn’t even have to see his face to know who it was, although I’m sure if I had I would have been quite concerned, the dark grey, large tail, swaying steadily behind him, the tips littered with lighter greys and some white spiked fur. He didn’t say anything at first, there was a bit of awkward silence before he reached down and grabbed hold on the large pot plant I had and moved it across to the other side of the balcony.

“Thanks.” I said as I finally looked up at him, his dark hair and ears were right above me, but his eyes were focused elsewhere, like he was avoiding this confrontation, but when he finally looked at me I began to grow confused and slightly concerned. “Namjoon? What’s wrong? Did you break the sink again?” I asked him as I remembered seeing him head into the kitchen this morning, I began to stand up, but he put his hand out signalling me not to, so I hesitantly lowered myself back down.

“N-no, it’s nothing like that, don’t worry. It’s just…” Namjoon seemed to fall short of his words. “Can I talk to you?”

“Uhm, y-yeah, of course. Here.” I said, pulling out the chairs for us to sit. “What did you want to talk about?”

“Uhh- well, it’s just-” Namjoon kept stumbling over his words, but I assured him that what ever it was that it was okay and to just take his time. “How I treated you back at the alley, that was horrible, and how I’ve been treating you, it isn’t right and it isn’t me, I was just trying to protect myself and my pack, and keep us all from getting hurt again, but you’ve been nothing but nice to us, giving us food, taking care of us, offering your home for us to stay in so we wouldn’t get sick from the rain. No one has ever been that nice to us- to me, and I guess I just didn’t know if it was true, no one just helps someone for free, there’s always a catch, always a dept owed…”

Namjoon trailed off before getting back to what he was saying.

“…I tried to find out what it was, what you wanted from us in return, workers, bait, punching bags, …” Namjoon didn’t finish what he was going to say, but I knew what he meant, my heart was aching for him and how scared he had been, thinking that I was going to hurt him. I could see how he kept looking down and away from me, in the corner of my eye, for just a split second I caught sight on something dropping down from his face. I reached my hand out and held on to his, squeezing it, letting him know that he didn’t have to keep talking about that.

“I couldn’t accept that someone like you would want to help someone like us out of the kindness of your heart, someone like me. I was blinded by my own negative thoughts into thinking that no one would ever want to help someone like me.” Namjoon finally looked up at me, looking into my eyes as he kept talking. “But I see now that you aren’t this horrible person who is going to hurt us, they all love you, I can see it, the way Jungkook lets you touch his ears, the way Tae lets you watch him paint, Jimin is pretty much attached to you, Yoongi lets you wake him up, whenever I tried he would almost bite my hand off, Hobi lets his guard down around you, and Jin loves your cooking. You’ve gone out of your way to help us so much and I don’t know how I could ever repay you. I guess what I’m trying to tell you is. I’m sorry, Y/n, for all the horrible things I did, I hurt you, physically, emotionally, I destroyed your home and yet you still chose to keep helping. I’m sorry, I hope you can accept this a-and I hope we can maybe start over?” Namjoon finally finished his rant like speech, he kept looking into my eyes after he finished speaking, he wasn’t crying, but he had wet streaks down his face, I was completely speechless at everything he had said.

I felt a shift in Namjoon, I guess I was too slow to respond as he began to stand up. “I-it’s fine, I don’t expect you to forgive me, I’ll get out of your way once the rain is gone, o-or I can go now-“ Before Namjoon could finish anymore of what he was saying I quickly stood up with him and wrapped my arms around him and brought him down closer to me, I could fell his wet tears that were once pooling out of his eyes and running down his face, now colliding with my neck and shoulder as a few strays kept falling.

“Namjoon, it’s okay, I don’t know what happened to you guys before I found you all, but whatever it was that made you feel this way wasn’t good. I want to help you all and the only thing I want in return is just your company, but even if you didn’t want my company I’d still help you guys. You don’t owe me anything and you don’t have to leave either.” A few on my own tears were now making their way down my face, thankfully we were outside so the other boys couldn’t see or hear anything. “Having you and your pack around, these have been the best days I’ve had in years, and I wouldn’t trade if for anything, no matter what you think, you are worthy of this, my help and kindness and everyone else’s, your worthy Namjoon and I want to keep helping you. I accept your apology.

Namjoon gripped onto the back on my shirt tighter as he kept mumbling in coherent words, I ran my hand up and down his back, letting him know that everything was okay, I had never seen him so broken. I pulled back from Namjoon and held his hand in mine, I smiled at him, and he returned it, he quickly brought his hands up and rubbed them up and down his face.

I hadn’t notice before, but since Namjoon had come outside the rain had been steadily getting heavier, it wasn’t pouring and on the balcony not a lot of the rain got to us, but we were both wet from the rain, figuring that we were already wet I decided that we could just continue to sit out here for a little while, but not too long as I didn’t want us to get sick, we could both calm down and I could finish up what I was doing with the plants, we both sat back down on the floor so I could continue with the plants with Namjoon’s help, a nice relaxing activity.

It was awkward at first, eventually we fell into conversation and started to get to know each other, Namjoon was telling me about when they had all met and how hard it was for them in that alley, I didn’t want to pry too much so I didn’t ask too many questions and just let him talk about what he was comfortable with. In turn Namjoon asked me about the café and how it came to be, I told him that I had always loved baking and had been doing it for years, I also wanted my own independency from my parents and their often times controlling habits, they were fully supportive of my decision, though for the first few years they had preferred that I worked for them instead.

As we were pruning the plants and removing some of the dead leaves, the door opened up, looking up I saw Seokjin peering out. “Hey, Y/n, can I use the kitchen to cook something?” He asked from halfway behind the door.

“Yeah, of course you can, no need to ask!” I said smiling back at him whilst doing hand gestures, Seokjin nodded his head before retreating back inside the apartment. We had peace and quiet for about 10 more minutes before Jimin came knocking on the door.

“Y/n.” He whined, dragging out my name.

“Hmm?” I hummed in response as I was in the middle of snipping off a dying piece from one of the plants as I looked up at him over at the door. “What’s up?”

“Let’s watch a movie, hyung is almost done cooking.” He said perking up and excited, I laughed and nodded my head before picking up all the green scraps, I stood up and waited for Namjoon to join me before we headed inside.

Jimin must have already told the other boys as most of them were already seated somewhere in the lounge, I dumped the waste into the correct recycling before heading into my bedroom to change out of my clothes and wipe down my face, they had both gotten wet and dirty whilst being outside.

I slipped off my dirty clothes and put on a large jumper, making sure to put the others in the washing basket.

I’ll have to do some washing soon, I think we all are running out of clean clothes.

I came out from my room and headed straight for the kitchen because whatever Seokjin was making it smelt amazing, I peered around him to try and see what was cooking, but he must have notice me as he moved slightly so I couldn’t see. “It’s a surprise.” He said before mixing whatever was in the pot.

I made my way over to where most of the other boys were, taking a seat between Hoseok and Namjoon, the younger ones had brought out a bunch of their blankets and pillows and where now sitting on the ground in front of me, Yoongi was sitting next to Hoseok and there was enough room beside Namjoon for Seokjin to sit when he was done in the kitchen.

It didn’t take long before we all had our plates of food, it smelt delicious and looked great too, I took the first bite.

“Seokjin! This is amazing!” I gushed as I took another bite, I had never had this dish prepared this way and everything about it was perfect to me, Seokjin replied to my praise and said, ‘thank you’.

“I didn’t know you could cook this well!” I said surprised, I knew Seokjin cooked a few times while he was here, but those were just basic dishes.

“I can cook more often if you’d like, I don’t mind.” He smiled back at me from behind Namjoon, who had sunk into the couch so me and Seokjin could see each other better.

“Cook as much as you’d like, this is so good!” I yelled, stuffing my face with more. “Youf have to ghive me recipe, for the cafe” I did my best, but it came out kind of muffled. “I would be honoured.” Seokjin said, we hastily fell into a conversation about how he had prepared the dish in such little time and how he changed a few things from traditional recipes.

I need my note pad!

“When will they stop talking about how to measure flour?”

“We want to watch the movie, c’mon! Talk about secret ingredients later!”

“Let’s talk about it tomorrow Seokjin.”

“Jin”

“Huh?”

“You can call me Jin.”

I smiled at Jin before laughing at the other members antics, I grabbed the remote and we began to search for the movie, thankfully some of the boys already had something in mind so it didn’t take too long to choose one.

We spent all night watching movies and all sitting in the lounge together, hearing all the boys laugh and yell, even Namjoon, made my heart swell with happiness and joy as I watched them all have fun together as a pack, carefree and safe, with me. We didn’t go to bed until late that night, too busy talking about one of the movies we had watch were a woman is in an arranged marriage with this mafia, crazy unrealistic. Me, Yoongi, and Hoseok said our goodnights and we went into my room, Hoseok on his side, all snuggled up, I slipped into my side and Yoongi laid across the bed down the bottom.

That was the best night sleep I had ever had, quiet, peaceful, comfy, good memories that I would never forget.

Until I woke up

“Y/nnn!”

Rainy Days, Mysterious Notes, And Wet Apologies (8)

A/n: Hello! Chapter 8 is here and on time for the most part, I had a lot of fun writing this chapter and enjoyed it too, I had to rush most of it over the weekend, but I hope it came out alright. I felt so bad when I was writing Namjoon’s little speech, and I was trying to hint at the backstories without giving it away. This is the longest chapter I’ve written (6.3k words! Not including the A/n or info parts) and I want to know if you guys prefer these longer chapters (5k-6k) like this one and chapter 7 or if you’d prefer the shorter chapters (2k-3k long), the shorter ones are quicker and sometimes easier to write and the longer one take me a lot longer to write, but I’m usually able to include more things that would be cut out of the shorter ones, I enjoy writing both, but I wanted to know what you would prefer. I hope everyone has a great day or night & Thankyou all for reading! 💜

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Opening my eyes, I immediately sense that someone’s watching me. I pretend to not notice it, going about my daily morning routine. The cameras are subtle, but my eyes catch them quickly. These boys may be smart but I’m always one step ahead. I knew that they were going to watch/trail me the second I turned down their business proposal.

~ Two days ago

“Stiletto, you have a business meeting with Bangtan today,” my assistant tells me.

“Oh, it totally slipped my mind,” I say, knowing full well about the meeting. You have to act forgetful once in a while or else people assume that you know everything and don’t tell you anything.

“It’s in an hour in your office.” I nod at the reminder, and wave her off. Venus is a hard-working girl and not a snitch, so I’ve kept her around as my assistant. She knows the consequences of betraying me.

An hour passes by quickly, dealing with my product shipping and whatnot. I’ve been involved for a good seven years; in both the technology industry and the mafia. My technology is top notch, and this led many mafia bosses to want to buy my products. I’m happy to oblige, as this makes me a pretty penny.

A sharp knock on my door makes me smirk.

I call out, “Come in.”

Seven men dressed in suits enter and shut the door behind them.

Bangtan.

“Hello Stiletto, it’s good to finally meet you,” Kim Namjoon says cordially.

“Likewise. Now, let’s get to it. I’m a busy woman, so if you please, give me your deal.” My face is blank, eyes steely, scrutinizing them as they do the same to me.

(a/n, I didn’t go into specifics with the deal because I’m not good with that sort of thing, so sorry for being so vague :’))

I listen to their proposal, knowing from the first sentence that it’s not going to happen. At least, not with me. The deal has minor holes and could easily be executed with another company. My price is also not met.

“I’m sorry to interrupt Mr. Kim, but this isn’t going to work. Have a good day,” I dismiss them, seeing the looks of anger flash in their eyes.

“What do you mean it won’t work, Stiletto?” Min Yoongi asks, barely concealing his anger.

“Are you deaf? I mean it won’t work. Find another company. Goodbye.” I’m about to call for security, but they keep pushing on. Well. Looks like they have some bark in them. But I have more important things to be doing than entertain some boys and I know I’ll see them again soon enough.

“You’ll regret this later,” Park Jimin says, and before he can say more I interrupt.

“I know that I won’t. Goodbye.” And with that, I have security escort them out. Granted, they don’t put up much of a fight, but instead I see them clench their fists if only for a brief second. Good. They’re mad. I hope that they learned that I can be a bitch, exactly as everyone says.

Hence the nickname Stiletto. Stilettos may be pretty looking but they’re also powerful. I bet you’ve never seen someone walk in stilettos and not look like a bad bitch.

Ever since this nickname was given to me, I have worn a pair every day. Why not give the people what they want?

I had to kill everyone who knew my actual name, so now only a select few remain who know my actual name; Y/n.

~ Present Day

Bangtan is so mad that they are trailing me to try to find weaknesses to make me bend to their deal. Their attempt is almost comical. Almost. I don’t have weaknesses. Growing up in an orphanage led me to learn and figure out things by myself.

My black suit is waiting for me, and I slip on my signature stilettos. They have red soles, an exclusive one-of-a-kind shoe made especially for me. Little does the brand know that I made some alterations to the shoes. I made the tips be steel and each shoe has a small dagger hidden inside the stiletto.

My black purse is waiting and I check my inbox as I make my way downstairs and into my garage where my chauffeur is waiting.

The cameras inside the house have already been disabled, courtesy of Venus’s hacking skills. That girl is shaping up to me more and more like me everyday. I smile inside at the thought of toying with Bangtan. Some say they’re the most powerful mafia, even going as far to call them the ‘mafia kings’ but I know better than that. They may be more known in the industry, but my name is still influential and slowly climbing the ranks. I blame me being a woman for the reason why I’m not on top. Most of the mafia bosses think I’m just a pretty face who can’t be taken seriously. Someday I’ll destroy all their empires and watch them burn. (she says nonchalantly lol)

I get out of the car at my office and head inside. Venus greets me, showing me my schedule of the day. I thank her, the only person I ever do, and head off to my office. It’s a peaceful workday, considering that I haven’t had to hurt/kill anyone yet.

It’s around 2:00pm when I get a notification on my phone saying that there are two unidentifiable figures that breached our building. I dismiss getting security to investigate as I know that it’s Bangtan. Perfect. They’re coming just as I knew they would. I know it’ll take them about a half an hour to reach my office so I wait eagerly.

Half an hour later I’m sending an email when I can feel their eyes on me. Based on my research I can guess that it’s Jungkook and Taehyung in the vents. These two are the deadly duo and also the sneakiest.

While Yoongi and Hoseok are the best at weaponry, Namjoon and Seokjin are the best fighters (with Seokjin doubling as a doctor), Jimin is a master manipulator, and Taehyung and Jungkook are the stealthiest. Jungkook is their ace though, good at everything.

I internally feel giddy, but on the outside I pretend that I don’t notice them.

I let this go on for another half hour, knowing that they’re watching every move. So I send boring emails and don’t do any actually work. I already shut down their hacking and can’t wait to shut down their camera that’s been in my office all day. But that comes later in my plan.

After hitting send on another email, I start typing up an rsvp and say, “Boys, it’s time to come down now. I know you’re up there, so be good and come out.”

There aren’t any noises but I can tell that they didn’t expect this.

Bangtan doesn’t expect me to know their every move. I have tabs on all of them at all times, and they don’t know I know all their tricks in the book. Including trailing business owners who don’t accept their deals.

Since they aren’t responding, I decide to have some fun and use their names.

“Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook…the maknaes of Bangtan. Be good boys and come out, okay? We don’t want this getting out of hand,” I say sweetly, imagining their eyes widen at me calling them out by name.

I count slowly in my head…three…two…one…

Bang! The vents come open and they drop down silently behind me. I turn around in my chair and see the two culprits.

“Hello boys. Have a seat.” I say, leaving them no room for argument. They sit down and don’t speak. I know they’re searching for ways to escape, but I won’t let them. They’re not the only ones good at planning.

“Look, I’m not going to force you to talk about anything. But just know that you shouldn’t try to-“

Before I can finish Jungkook brings out a gun and fires it at me. I dodge it and pull out a gun of my own.

“Don’t even think about it buddy. I have dozens of weapons aimed at you that could fire at any moment, so sit your ass down.” This makes him slightly wary, and he lowers his gun.

“Give me your weapons boys,” I demand next, knowing that I could still win against them in a heartbeat but don’t want to take that chance.

They get them out for me but I notice Jungkook forgot two and Taehyung forgot one.

“Jungkook, give me the dagger in your hair and behind your ear and Taehyung, give me your ankle dagger,” I sigh impatiently.

They do as I say, surprised at my knowledge.

“Perfect. Good boys, thank you,” I praise, knowing that this makes them uncomfortable. And it works. Jungkook looks down slightly while I see Taehyung swallow.

I stalk over to the filing cabinet and pull out the camera recording all of this. I smirk slightly into it and place it down in front of the boys and I.

“Hello Bangtan, thanks for sending your maknaes to me. We’ve been having a jolly good time,” I say into the camera, noticing Jungkook and Taehyung exchange glances.

“Anyways, better come get them before something happens to them…that would be horrible,” I say, my tone a hint darker than before. Then I crush and destroy the camera.

I turn back to Jungkook and Taehyung.

“I’ll guess…thirty-four minutes until they come for you. In the meantime, do make yourselves comfortable. I have snacks and shit in the mini fridge if you’re feeling peckish. But don’t try anything!” I singsong, going back to my desk.

They look at each other, confused at what’s going on. One second I’m threatening them the next I’m offering them food. I ignore their looks and continue typing and responding to emails.

Precisely thirty-four minutes later the rest of Bangtan comes bursting through my office door.

“Where are they?!” Namjoon booms, gun in hand.

“They are right there,” I say, pointing to the two boys who haven’t moved from their sitting positions.

I see Bangtan freeze, if only for a split second. I know that they’re shocked I didn’t harm them/tie them up somehow.

“Did you do anything to them? Because if you did, I swear to god Stiletto I’ll-“

“Calm down Hoseok, can’t you see they’re unharmed?” I state boredly, gesturing to the maknaes.

“It’s true Hobi,” Jin says, rushing over to inspect his babies.

“Aw, such a happy reunion,” I say, then sharpen my tone. “Looks, you idiots need to learn that no means no. I don’t want your business deal, so stop trying. It’s not working.”

“You sure, Stiletto?” Jimin asks me, a calculating grin on his face, “Because it seems to me that you care a lot about our babies, not even harming them. What does that show?”

I roll my eyes. “Jimin, quit it. Your tactics don’t work on me.”

“Ooh, feisty. I like you, Stiletto,” Jimin says, sidling up to me and putting his arm around my shoulder.

Quick as a wink I take his arm off my shoulder and twist him so we’re now face-to-face.

“Isn’t it obvious? I like you too Jimin,” I say, staring deep into his eyes. Oh how I love toying with them.

He falters for a millisecond then regains his composure and licks his lips.

“Great, so let’s make a deal-“

“You silly boy,” I push him away much to his dismay, “I already told you, no means no. Now, get out of here before I shoot you all.” I’ve had my fun and it’s time for them to go.

“Look, Stiletto, we don’t mean to cause issues with-“

“Trailing me? Putting cameras up in my own home and office? Attempting to hack my technology? Sending your babies to spy on me? It seems that you have caused issues. While I like to mess with you, I’m done playing.” I’m dead serious as I look them each in the eye.

“Get out of my sight and don’t bother trying to contact me again. I’m done with Bangtan. Oh, and keep in mind that I know more than you think,” I warn.

“Like what?” Namjoon scoffs, not believing me.

“I know that you and the rest of the boys have feelings for each other,” I say casually, noticing their looks of shock, “What, you don’t think I noticed? It’s pretty obvious to me and honestly you’re all perfect for each other anyway.”

“But…no one knows that…” Jin stammers, showing the first sign of weakness since their arrival.

“Look, I’m not a snitch when it comes to that topic, so I won’t tell anyone, but you best believe I know so much more,” I say, watching them all breathe a small sigh of relief.

“Okay, point made Stiletto. We’ll leave you alone.” Namjoon caves, nodding to the rest of the boys.

“Great, now get out.” I point to the door and they all file out.

Ever since my spy in Bangtan told me that they were planning on meeting with me, I planned on the outcome.

I knew their deals were usually good at hiding the holes, so I took the liberty of finding out what deal they were going to offer to me. It wasn’t bad from the outside but I knew that in the end it would benefit them more than me.

I knew they wouldn’t accept my ‘no’ so I planned on them following me. Taehyung and Jungkook coming wasn’t a surprise in the least and I knew that revealing their biggest secret would make them leave me alone.

I now hold power over the ‘mafia kings.’

That makes me be able to control all the groups in my area.

Perfect.

Now I can grow my empire and slowly but surely take over and show everyone who their mafia ruler really is.

The mafia queen, Y/n.

a/n: sorry for kinda rushing through this. it’s not perfect but i just love the scenario! anyways, as always, thanks for reading! 🩷🫶🏼

What did I just do?

That questions replays in my mind over and over and over again. I realize how crazy I am now, just going to stay at some random stranger’s house. My mom would be so disappointed in me!

I mentally facepalm, and hope that I didn’t just make the worst decision of my life.

After about a ten minute drive, you, Yoongi, and Seokjin pull into the garage of an amazing house.

It’s a modern two-story house, with floor to ceiling glass windows.

The garage door shuts as Seokjin gets my suitcase out of the trunk. I grab it and walk up the steps to the garage door as Yoongi opens the door. Then I walk inside, Seokjin following behind you.

The first thing I do is take off my sneakers and quickly unzip an outside pocket of my suitcase and stuff them in there.

The second thing I do is notice the five other boys in the living room. All looking at me in confusion.

As Yoongi and Seokjin take off their shoes, a tall man with black hair comes walking over, not-so-subtly looking at me.

“Hey hyungs, I’m glad you’re back safe. That rain was crazy! And is this the person?” Tall man looks at me, and I look at the hardwood floor.

“Yes, this is y/n,” says Seokjin, “She needs a place to stay until she starts college because she just broke up with her horrible boyfriend!”

I’m grateful he didn’t mention how I was crying and basically desperate for a place.

“Oh, hi y/n. I’m Namjoon, and I’m sorry you had a horrible boyfriend,” Namjoon gives a dimpled smile, and I find myself smiling back.

“I’m so sorry to just barge in like this, and if you don’t want me to stay I completely understand! It’s a random person in your house and you already have so many people living here so I’m sorry-“

“No worries y/n. Jin texted us about someone needing a place to stay, and luckily we have a very nice guest room that is never used,” Namjoon reassures me.

I relax a little, but I still feel super bad about invading their privacy.

“Now, why don’t you come meet the rest of our boyfriends? You already know me, Jin, and Yoongi, but this here is Hobi, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook.” Namjoon leads me into the living room where four other attractive men sit across the couches.

‘Hobi’ barely spares me a glance, but Jimin gets up and greets me. The first thing I notice is his pink hair.

“Hi y/n! I’m Jimin and I just wanted to say that you are really pretty.” He then gives a mischievous, almost cat like grin.

“Oy! None of your flirting Jimin,” Yoongi says, noticing my slightly flustered expression. Afterwards he lightly hits the back of Jimin’s head.

I do an almost imperceptible flinch at the action, hoping no one noticed.

“Anyway, I’m the oldest and then it goes Yoongi, Hobi, Namjoon, Jimin, Tae, and then Kookie. Jimin, Tae, and Kookie are the maknaes and they’re brats most of the time,” Seokjin explains.

“Hey! We’re not brats,” Taehyung whines while poking Jungkook.

“Stop poking me!” Jungkook responds, annoyed.

“I’m not poking you!”

“Yes you are!”

“Am not!”

“Am too!”

“See, total brats,” Seokjin says, while shaking his head at the youngest two.

With that, Hobi gets up and leaves, uttering a short “I’m going to bed. Goodnight.” I stare at the back of his brown hair as he departs.

I feel bad because he probably doesn’t want me here, and I don’t blame him.

“Goodnight Hobi, sleep well,” Yoongi says, giving him a quick hug.

After he leaves, Jimin drags me to sit down on the couch.

“Hobi-hyung is such a baby! It’s not even that late,” Jimin says, glancing at the clock on the wall, “It’s only 10:17 pm! We normally don’t even go to bed until 11 at the earliest. Yoongi-hyung over here sometimes goes to bed at 4am!”

Yoongi just rolls his eyes and says “You know I have work to do Jiminie. Someone has to make money to support you.”

‘Jiminie’ just rolls his eyes back, and turns back to me.

“Anyway, how old are you y/n? I’m twenty two, but Jungkookie over there is only twenty years old! He’s such a baby,” Jimin coos at Jungkook, making him scowl and throw a pillow.

“It’s not nice to ask a women her age, Jimin,” Taehyung speaks, surprising me with his deep voice.

“Oh, it’s ok Taehyung, I’m actually twenty years old, so that would make me even younger than Jungkook.” I smile, looking at the youngest.

“Yes! Hah, in your face Jimin, I’m no longer the youngest!” Jungkook cheers, and scoots to sit beside me.

“I guess you should call me oppa,” he says, grinning at me. While it seems to be innocent, the slight gleam in his eyes make me nervous.

“Jin-hyung! Jungkook’s flirting with y/n!” Jimin tattles, all while giving me another cat like smile.

“Jungkook! Stop flirting with y/n! She just broke up with her boyfriend!” Jin scolds.

“Why did you break up?” Taehyung asks, trying to change the subject.

The rest of the boys go silent as they wait for my answer.

“Um, well, it just didn’t work out. We had too many differences,” I lie.

Namjoon frowns slightly at that.

“Aw, I’m sorry y/n. Maybe your next boyfriend will be better!” Jimin says, snuggling into your side.

I stiffen at the contact, not used to such blatant affection. My ex usually only liked to show pda when we were alone.

“Jimin, you’re making her uncomfortable.” Namjoon makes this observation still with his slight frown on his face.

“Oh I’m sorry y/n!” Jimin then gives me a bit more space and I can feel myself relaxing again.

“If you ever feel uncomfortable with anything, please tell us so we know, y/n,” says Yoongi, “We want you to feel safe here.”

I feel your heart warm a little.

“Thank you Yoongi, I really appreciate that. I’m sorry again for coming and invading your personal life,” I say, feeling guilty for the hundredth time today.

“Y/n, I’m going to say this for the last time, it’s not big deal. So please stop saying you’re sorry.”

“But-“

“No buts!” Yoongi stops my protests with a stern glare.

“Yeah y/n, don’t feel bad! We feel glad to use our guest room because it usually just sits and gathers dust,” Jimin says cheerfully, then yawns big and wide.

“Looks like little mochi is tired,” Namjoon teases, reaching over to ruffle Jimin’s hair.

“I’m not tired! It’s only-“ another yawn interrupts Jimin, who sheepishly avoids Namjoon’s pointed gaze.

“-time for you to get to bed,” Namjoon finishes, “We’ve all had a long day, and I’m sure y/n is exhausted. Let me show you to your room upstairs.”

With that, I get up and follow Namjoon, grabbing my suitcase and lugging it upstairs with his help.

“This is Jimin’s room, Tae’s, Kookie’s, and here’s yours.”

Namjoon stops in front of the last door, and opens it, turning on the light. Inside is a nice, beige themed room. There is a big bed piled high with throw pillows in the middle and a bench at the end of it, with a dresser to the left of it as well as a desk. A closet is to the right, and next to the closet is a full length mirror, 2 chairs and a small table. A big fluffy white rug covers the carpet in front of the bed.

I also notice two doors. Namjoon explains that one leads to the bathroom that I will share with Jungkook and the other leads to an outside balcony.

“A balcony? Really? That’s so cool!” I gush, “Why hasn’t anyone claimed this room?”

“Well, everyone wanted this room, and we couldn’t pick someone so we just chose this one to be the guest room,” Namjoon explains.

“Ah, that makes sense. Thank you Namjoon, for everything. I am so grateful for you and your boyfriends’ generosity!” I thank him again.

“No need to thank me! And as Yoongs said, please don’t continue to thank us. It’s really no big deal!”

I just nod, and set my suitcase on the bench at the end of the bed.

“Well, I’ll say goodnight now! I’ve got to go wrangle those maknaes and Jin and try to make Yoongs go to bed. Knowing him he’ll stay up late but a guy can try!” With another dimpled smile, Namjoon shut the door and leaves me to my thoughts.

I sit on the bed, trying to comprehend all that happened today. First I see Minyoo and am happy, then my boyfriend accuses me of cheating on him so I break up and leave him. After that I wander around wondering where to go and by some miracle a handsome man just so happens to notice my stress and offers to let me stay at his beautiful home with his beautiful boyfriends. Now I’m at said beautiful home, sitting on the most comfortable bed I’ve ever felt in your life.

I let out a silent scream, and then flop back onto the bed. Closing my eyes for a moment, I take a deep breath. I can do this. It’s just a month, right?

After showering in the luxurious bathroom, I change into my soft strawberry printed pj set. Yawning, I turn off the lights and climb into the bed.

My eyes close, but sleep doesn’t come. I toss and turn to no avail. Huffing, I check the clock; only 11:30. I decide to go fill up my water bottle, hoping that I can fall asleep afterwards.

Gently I open the door, seeing that the upstairs is now dark with only a small nightlight plugged in, illuminating the hallway.

Tiptoeing down the stairs and into the kitchen, I’m surprised to see a dim light coming in from the room closest to the living room. But then I remember Jimin saying that Yoongi sometimes stays up until 4am, so I assume it’s him.

After filling my water bottle, my curiosity gets the better of me and I slowly open the door to the dim room.

Inside there is a big spinning chair that Yoongi is currently sitting in with his back to you. He has big computers and a keyboard set up in front of him, with lots of other technical equipment. Two big leather couches line the wall and music posters are hung up on the walls.

I now know what Yoongi’s job is- sort of. Obviously it’s something in music, but I’m not sure the actual name of it.

Not wanting to interrupt Yoongi, I go sit on one of the leather couches until he’s done with whatever he’s doing.

After some typing noises, he turns around in his chair. I can see that he’s changed into a comfortable sweatshirt with matching pants rather than his work clothes earlier.

“Oh, hi y/n. I thought I noticed someone coming in. Usually it’s one of the maknaes, as they love to stay up late.” He chuckles and the runs his fingers through his black hair.

“Ah, yes well I just decided to peek in and see what this room was,” I say sheepishly, “It’s all very interesting with this equipment that you have! If you don’t mind me asking, what exactly is your job?”

“I’m a music producer,” he explains, “I am a part of this company called BigHit Music as one of the main producers.”

A music producer, huh? You didn’t peg him for the music type and are a bit surprised.

“Really? That’s cool! What type of music do you produce?” I ask.

“I usually produce rap music because it’s my favorite,” Yoongi explains.

Then, his brows furrow a bit and he asks, “What are you still doing up? I thought everyone else was asleep.”

I shrug, then decide to tell the truth.

“I couldn’t sleep. I guess I’ve had a long day.” I laugh but Yoongi doesn’t. Instead he looks concerned.

“You definitely did, I’m honestly not surprised you can’t sleep now. Want to stay here for a while? Maybe watching me work will be boring enough to make you sleep.”

I consider my options, not wanting to bother him, but it’s like he’s reading my thoughts because he then says, “It’s no big deal y/n, I like company while I work. You wouldn’t be a bother.”

“Really?” I ask, “My ex always wanted me to leave while he worked. He said I was a distraction and basically forced me out of the room.”

I say this normally but then realize how it sounded.

“I’m sorry! I shouldn’t have said that, he wasn’t mean he just didn’t want me interrupting him. You don’t need to know about my ex.” I look apologetically at Yoongi, who now has an unreadable expression on his face.

“You don’t need to apologize, y/n. You are now a part of our household, and we want to know more about you. You also seem to apologize a lot, even when there’s no need to. Was everything okay with you and your boyfriend before you broke up?”

I know he doesn’t mean to pry, but I can’t help but feel a bit exposed by the blunt question. My boyfriend and I’s relationship wasn’t perfect, but there was no major problems with it. Except that he had an awful temper and often yelled and maybe slapped me a couple times. No big deal. Everyone got angry, and I knew he never meant it.

“Everything was fine. Sometimes he would yell at me, but that was only a couple times and nothing else happened.” I feel bad lying again, but I just don’t want them to find out about the slapping.

Yoongi nods, not wanting to push it, and turns back to his work.

“Feel free to stay or leave, the choice is yours.”

I decide to stay, as the leather couch is comfy and the ambiance is nice. After placing my water bottle and glasses on a side table I curl up on the couch. Yoongi then grabs a fluffy white blanket from a cabinet and throws it to me. After snuggling into it, I close your eyes and slowly fall asleep to the soothing sound of typing.

A bright light wakes me up, as someone throws the warmth off of me. I groan as I open my eyes and fumble for my glasses. After putting them on, I can see it’s ‘Hobi’ (I’m sure that’s not his full name but I’m definitely not going to ask) who flung the blanket off of me.

“Wake up. It’s time for breakfast.” He turns to leave, but I stop him.

“Wait, can you stay for a second? I’m really sorry for invading your privacy and your house. I know I’m a random stranger, so I will try to keep out of your way. Also, I don’t know your full name so could you please tell me what you feel comfortable with me calling you?”

I really don’t want ‘Hobi’ to dislike me for the whole month.

“Whatever. Hoseok is fine. Hobi is reserved for special people only.” After saying this rather distantly, Hobi - who I now know to call ‘Hoseok,’ turns on his heel and disappears out of the room.

Well. That went great. I guess Hoseok doesn’t like me, and I completely understand why, but I wish that he wouldn’t be so outright rude.

I get up and hope that I look presentable and then walk out to the kitchen. Hoseok and Namjoon are sitting at the table talking while Seokjin and Yoongi are cooking what looks like pancakes. The maknaes are nowhere to be found.

“Good morning y/n!” Seokjin cheerfully waves with his spatula while Yoongi just grunts his good morning. Huh, maybe he’s one of those people who needs coffee before anything else.

“Yes, good morning y/n!” Namjoon smiles his (adorable) smile.

Hoseok doesn’t even look at me which now seems to be the usual response. I see Namjoon glance at him, but he doesn’t say anything.

“Hey y/n, can you go wake up the maknaes? All of our rooms are labeled so you definitely will be able to find them. I will warn you; they all may be in one room together,” Seokjin says to me.

“Sure! I’ll be back soon then.” I turn and go up the stairs.

The first name I see on the door is ‘Jimin,‘ so I decide to check that room first. No one in there. Next I check Taehyung’s room but it’s also empty. Finally, I stop outside Jungkook’s room. I hope that they’re in there, otherwise I’m going to have to tell Seokjin that I couldn’t fine them.

I gently twist the knob open, and internally coo at the sight in front of me. Sprawled across the big bed are the maknaes. Jimin is squished between the younger two, with Taehyung on his left side and Jungkook on his right. Taehyung’s leg is draped over Jimin and part of Jungkook, while Jungkook’s arm is hugging on top of both of them.

I hate to wake them up, but it’s time for breakfast and I know they probably will want to eat.

I slowly walk over to the bed and start gently shaking Jimin, thinking that since he’s in the middle he would wake the other two up. But he just snuggles deeper into his boyfriends. After trying to shake the other two, I have no progress. I guess they are heavy sleepers!

I don’t want to invade their sleep, so I trudge back downstairs and tell Seokjin that they wouldn’t wake up.

“Those brats! Hmm, I know one way to wake them up. Tickle them.”

Seokjin grins evilly at the idea and then says, “Hopefully they don’t kick you y/n! Now, up you go to wake them up.”

“But I don’t want to invade their sleep, they’re probably really tired!” I protest. Really, I just want Seokjin to go wake them up so I can eat the delicious looking pancakes on the table.

“You’re not invading their sleep. Those kids have had all summer to sleep in,” Yoongi says, now looking a bit more awake. I assume it’s because of his giant yellow mug that is filled with dark liquid.

Defeated, I say “Okay, okay, I’ll go wake them with tickles.”

“Okay, okay, thanks y/n!” Seokjin says teasingly, then shoos me back upstairs.

I adjust my glasses before I go in and take a deep breath. Where do I even ‘tickle’ them? Oh, well. I’ll just try the most common spots.

Pushing open the door I walk over to the bed for the second time. After staring at their cuteness for a second, I hesitantly reach to Jimin’s side and give it a little pinch. He stirs, but continues to sleep.

Fine, I’m done with this. I just want to eat and get ready for the day! I rapidly knead Jimin’s side, making him jolt up with a sleepy, “Huh?”

One up two to go. While Jimin stares at me sleepily I swiftly use both of my hands to tickle Taehyung and Jungkook’s side. Both jolt awake just like Jimin. I giggle because they all are so adorable.

“What’s going on,” Jungkook says, looking like a sleepy bunny.

“Hmmm…” Jimin lays his head on Jungkook’s shoulder, while Taehyung is just sitting up with his eyes closed.

“It’s time to breakfast boys! Seokjin and Yoongi cooked so let’s go before there’s no food left!”

Before I can leave, Jungkook grabs my arm.

“Stay with us. We can eat later. Tired. Want to sleep more,” he mumbles in his morning voice.

I blush, partly because of the contact and partly because of his voice.

“C’mon boys or else I’m going to tickle you more.” The threat seems to partly work, as Jimin and Taehyung’s eyes both widen, and they dart out of bed and stumble sleepily out of the door.

But Jungkook continues to hold my arm and close his eyes.

“Please. Need more sleep. Tired.”

He has been holding my arm for too long, so I decide to be cruel and sneak a tickle under his arms. He shrieks and lets go of me.

“What was that for?!”

“For not getting up, you sleepy bunny,” you tease, “Now, get up or else more tickles.”

“Fine, fine. I’m coming.” Grumbling under his breath he gets out of the bed and walks to the door, dragging me along with him. We go downstairs to the kitchen table where everyone else is now seated.

“Look who finally decided to wake up!” Seokjin says, pointing his finger playfully at Jungkook.

“Whatever hyung. Why did you tell y/n to tickle me?” Jungkook whines, while sitting down and tugging me into the seat next to him. He starts helping himself to pancakes. I do the same.

“Because that’s the only way to wake up you maknaes,” Namjoon says, “And I wanted y/n to get more comfortable with all of us.”

I do a small smile before stuffing my face with the best pancakes I have tasted in my life.

After chewing and swallowing I say, “Oh, don’t worry about me being comfortable. It’s your house and your life and I’ll be gone in a month anyways.”

“It may be our house, but we still want you to feel comfortable y/n. Tell us if you’re ever uncomfortable with any of our actions,” Yoongi says. His expression is weirdly unreadable again.

“Thank you again! I promise I will come up with a way to repay you. That reminds me! How much rent do you want me to pay for the month?”

At this question Seokjin and Namjoon exchange a glance, then Seokjin responds, “About that, since it’s such a short amount of time we don’t and won’t accept any money. I’m serious, y/n. As a college student you’re probably swimming in debt already and there’s no need when we are making enough to support everyone.”

I’m about to protest but stop when I realize he’s right. My college is expensive, and I can barely afford to go as is. But I then make it my personal mission to find  a way to pay them back.

“Thank you so much Seokjin. Actually, thank you to all of you. Without you I’d probably be back in my ex’s apartment or on my friend’s floor.” I say gratefully.

“Call me Jin. And you’re welcome you silly kid! Anyway, what are everyone’s plans for the day?”

It’s a Saturday morning, so I’m assuming that they don’t have many plans. But I was wrong.

“I have to go to the studio to work so I’ll maybe be back in time for dinner,” Yoongi says, bringing his plate over to the kitchen.

“Hobi and I have to go to our studio too!” Jimin says excitedly, after which Hoseok ruffles his hair and smiles at him. I look at them and smile a bit sadly, wishing Hoseok and I got along a bit more.

“I’m working on my lesson plans for the upcoming school year, so I’ll probably be at Jin’s restaurant,” Namjoon says.

Wait, restaurant? I thought Jin was an actor!

I must look confused because Jin then says, “Ah, yes y/n I own a restaurant called Serendipity. I opened it after my acting career skyrocketed. You’re also probably wondering what everyone’s jobs are. I’m an actor and owner of that restaurant, Yoongi is a-“

“I already told her I’m a music producer Jin-hyung,” Yoongi interrupts.

“Aish, just let me finish Yoongi!” Jin shakes his head at Yoongi, “So, as I was saying, Yoongi is a music producer, Hobi and Jimin own a dance studio together called Epiphany, Joonie is a high school teacher, Jungkookie is going to be a senior in college where he’s majoring in cinematography, and TaeTae is a fashion designer.”

Wow, that’s a really diverse group of careers! I wonder why I haven’t heard of Jin’s acting? He must be pretty popular.

“That’s so cool! Everyone’s jobs are so diverse,” I gush, “A high school teacher and a fashion designer? Wow you guys are some talented humans.”

“I like to think so,” Hoseok says icily, “After all, we did work really hard to get to where we are now.” I can see the other boys looking at Hoseok with furrowed brows, but I know by now that this is how our relationship is going to be I until I move out. I decide to be polite, even though his words still sting.

“Yes, your hard work paid off!” I say cheerfully, grabbing his empty plate and carrying it with mine over to the sink. He looks a bit taken back at the gesture but quickly recovers.

“C’mom Hobi-hyung! We have to go get ready now or we won’t be able to make it to the studio on time!” Jimin rushes Hoseok upstairs and Namjoon disappears soon after.

I check the time; 9:23 am. They must have a full day ahead of them, so I offer to do the dishes. Yoongi accepts, ignoring Jin’s protests and practically pushes him up the stairs saying, “You know you have to go to the restaurant today, so don’t be late.”

All this leaves is Jungkook and Taehyung, whom both are in the living room now watching tv. Since Jungkook is a college student, I know he probably doesn’t have anything to do but I’m surprised Taehyung doesn’t have any work today.

“Oh, and y/n?” Yoongi asks, leaning on the balcony rail outside his room after successfully shoving Jin into his respective room, “Your job today is to watch those two in the living room. You never know what kind of things they’re going to do, so please make sure they don’t burn the house down or some other horrible life-changing thing!” And with that, he goes into his room and shuts the door.

Guess I’m on babysitting duty today with the literal babies of the group. I can only hope that I don’t fail and the house burns down.

I wander into the living room, seeing that both boys are now on their phones and ignoring the news playing on the tv.

“…hey guys. My job today is to ‘babysit’ you per Yoongi’s request.”

“Hey! We’re not children. We don’t need babysitting,” Jungkook pouts.

“I know but he said that he doesn’t want you guys to burn the house down,” I shrug, not sure what to say.

“That was one time!” Taehyung cries out.

“What do you mean, one time? You’re telling me you actually burned a house down?” Now I’m scared to babysit them because I’m fearing for my own safety.

Jungkook laughs at my expression and then says, “No! No, we didn’t burn down a house. We just lit the toaster on fire accidentally.”

I breathe a sigh of relief. Thank goodness.

“You should’ve seen your face y/n! You actually thought we burned a house down!” Taehyung and Jungkook both start laughing hysterically.

“I don’t think it was that funny.” I cross my arms and glare at the two.

“It wasn’t funny, it was hilarious,” Jungkook giggles.

“What was hilarious?” By now, Hoseok and Jimin are downstairs and getting their shoes on.

“Hobi-hyung! Y/n over here thought that we burned a house down!” Taehyung exclaims.

“Oh, that story. Y/n, they wouldn’t be so stupid as to burn down a house.”

That word. Stupid. He’s calling me stupid right? Basically. He’s saying I’m stupid. Maybe I am stupid for assuming they would burn a house down. I mean, what kind of person thinks that? Me. I’m such an idiot, no wonder Hoseok doesn’t like me. And no wonder-

“Y/n? Are you okay?” Jimin is voice interrupts my thoughts. I snap out of it. I’m not with my ex. My ex is gone. I won’t ever have to deal with him again.

“O-oh. Yes, I’m fine.” My voice is a bit wobbly still and my heart is still racing.

“Okay, you sure?” Jimin asks, concerned.

“Yes, I’m fine, thanks for asking.” I say, then, trying to distract from me, I ask him “Don’t you and Hoseok need to go? You don’t want to be late.”

“She’s right Jimin we have to go now or else we’re going to be late. Bye everyone.” Hoseok grabs Jimin’s arm and they take their leave.

“You know you can call him Hobi, right y/n?” Jungkook asks me.

“Yeah, almost no one calls him by his real name,” Taehyung agrees.

“Well…” I’m not sure how to explain that Hoseok asked me to call him by his real name.

“I just don’t feel comfortable calling him by his real name because I don’t know you guys well enough for that.” I hope that that’s a good enough reason for them.

“But you call Jin-hyung by his nickname!” Jungkook points out.

Dang. I forgot about that.

“He asked me to call him that! Until Hoseok asks me to call him ‘Hobi’ I will continue to call him Hoseok.”

“Okay fine but you know you can call me Tae or TaeTae like everyone else,” Taehyung says.

“Ooh me too! Feel free to call me Kook or Kookie or Jungkookie!” Jungkook is very enthusiastic about me calling him by a nickname.

“Or you could call him baby bunny,” Taehyung says slyly.

“I am NOT a baby bunny!” Jungkook pushes Taehyung into the couch cushions.

“You sure look like one, baby bunny Jungkook,” Taehyung teases.

The two then get into sort of a wrestling match on the couch.

“Guys! Quit it, I can’t let Yoongi see I’m failing at babysitting you this early in the day,” I plead at them.

“I think Yoongi can see for himself how it’s going with the babysitting.”

Oh crap, Yoongi. I turn around and see him standing them with Jin.

I smile sheepishly, then say “Oh, hi Yoongi! Don’t worry, I can totally handle these two.”

“Uh-huh. And I can see how that’s going.” He quirks an eyebrow up, and Jin crosses his arms. Both look at me like they’re scolding me, but I know they don’t mean it by the gleams in their eyes.

“Fine! You get them to stop wrestling!” I throw my arms up in mock frustration.

“Okay, we will.”

Yoongi and Jin walk over to the wrestling boys on the couch and each grab one shirt collar and drag them apart. Jin grabs Jungkook and Yoongi grabs Taehyung.

“Hey!”

“Hyung!”

“You brats need to stop making y/n’s life so difficult. If I find out that you weren’t good for her, there will be punishment,” Jin threatens.

The boys stop trying to fight and relax in their hyungs’ holds, defeated. I wonder what type of ‘punishment’ Jin’s given them before that makes them so scared.

“Okay Jin-hyung, we’ll be good for y/n.”

“That’s a good boy! Now, we have to go, but make sure that you behave!” Jin praises.

Namjoon walks down the stairs, ready to leave as well.

“What’s going on guys?” He asks, confused at the situation on the couch.

“Nothing. We got it handled. Let’s go!” Yoongi says, letting go of Taehyung.

After Jin lets Jungkook go the trio heads out with choruses of “Good-bye!” And “Behave you two!”

The door shuts and I am alone with the two youngest of the group.

“So…what should we do now?”

It's Over...? (9)

“Y/nnn!”

I groaned at the yelling from somewhere in the house, hoping I was just dreaming I rolled over to face Hoseok, he seemed to stir slightly, but stayed asleep, I started drifting back to sleep as well, my eyes closing as I was losing the battle, until I heard a loud scream.

I quickly sat up as did Hoseok, we both threw off the blankets and rushed towards the door, him being in front due to his faster reflexes, he threw opened the door and walked out until he was standing near the kitchen, and I quickly followed behind him. Standing across from us was Seoyeon, she had her hair down and her sunglasses pushed up, she was wearing some black pants and a white top which was covered by her long beige coat, she was looking over towards the couch.

Looking at the couch I saw Namjoon and Seokjin who had clearly just woken up staring back at her startled, the spare room door was also open, and Taehyung was peering out, I could see Jungkook’s feet hanging off the bed, letting me know that he was still asleep, I glanced at Hoseok who was standing in front of me before looking back at Seoyeon as she started speaking.

“Uhm, Y/n?” She nervously yelled out, looking around a bit more before she spotted me, she came running towards me before grabbing me and pulling me away from Hoseok, she held on to me protectively as she tried to back up a bit more, her eyes wide with concern, but Hoseok wasted no time in grabbing me from her arms and pulling me back over to him and slightly pushing me behind his body.

Seoyeon reached out from my arm and grabbed a hold of it and tried pulling me away from Hoseok, in the corner of my eye I could see Jungkook and Jimin slowly poke their heads out from the room as well. I felt like a piece of meat being fought over by two wild animals, as the two kept pulling me back and forth I took advantage of their lack of focus on me and more on each other to pull myself away from both of them.

They both looked at me before Seoyeon took a step forward making Hoseok flinch before she started speaking. “Y/n, who are these guys? Are you okay?” She whispered, trying to stop them from hearing, but their hybrids ears would have picked up what she said anyway. Hoseok reaches for Seoyeon’s arm that’s she using to hold me and pulls it away making her turn to face him, he steps closer to me putting a bit of space between myself and Seoyeon.

“Who are we? Who are you?” He sneered, slightly growling at her. She stepped back seeming a bit nervous and offended, Hoseok was staring at her as she moved slightly away from him, he looked like he could tear her throat out at any second, it was different from his usually bubbly and friendly self and it kind of worried me, so I decided to step in.

“Hoseok, this is Seoyeon, my friend who works at the café with me.” I said, trying to diffuse the tension. “Seoyeon, this is Hoseok, he is my friend who’s been staying with me, remember? Along with the rest of the pack.” I said gesturing to everyone else who was watching, Seoyeon looked around at them all, she must have spotted Jimin and Jungkook as she gave them a smile and a small wave.

She looked over to the couch as confusion spread on her face at the unfamiliar faces, she seemed to grow awkward again, realizing three other people were watching. I started to introduce the boys.

“Seoyeon, this is Taehyung, Namjoon, and Seokjin.” I pointed accordingly to each person as I said their name, Seoyeon gave them all a polite smile which they seemed to awkwardly return. “And you already know Jimin and Jungkook, Yoongi’s in the room right now, sleeping.” I smiled at her as I point behind me into my room, you could see the pile of blankets that was hiding his body at the end of the bed.

Seoyeon’s eyes widened. “Wait, he’s sleeping in your bed?” She asked me, slightly astounded.

“Yeah, I’m sharing my bed with Yoongi and Hoseok since there isn’t enough room on the couch.” I said sheepishly.

Seoyeon smirked at me before raising her eyebrows up and down in a knowing manner, I playfully smacked her on the arm, telling her it wasn’t like that, she laughed a bit before reminding me of how she was ‘Just joking.’

Something must have clicked in Seoyeon's head at that moment as her demeanour completely changed, her eyebrows furrowed, and she had a scowl on her face. “Are you the one who hit her?” She asked, jabbing a finger towards Hoseok chest, making him stumble back slightly, my eyes widen at her accusation.

“W-what? N-no, Seoyeon it wasn’t him, can we not talk about it, please?” I pleaded with her to drop the subject. “Why are you here anyway?” I asked trying to change the subject.

She glared and Hoseok before she turned to me and sighed, letting me know that this wouldn’t be the end of her quest to find the culprit of those hand marks.

“Haven’t you noticed?” She asked as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, she took my silence as a no and made her way over to one of the windows that had a curtain covering it. “It stopped raining!”

She pulled back the curtain and a flush of natural light flooded into the apartment, I squinted my eyes, not used to the bright light that came in lighting everything up in a glow that I haven’t seen for a while making a smile spread on my face, I walked over to Seoyeon and looked out the window with her, the sun was shining down and there wasn’t a cloud in sight, I could see all the people in their cars driving and walking on the street down below us, tiny little blobs of colour.

I could hear the other curtains and windows being opened too by the others, but as the sun lit up the room an expected tension came with it.

If the sun was out, that means the boys will be going home…

My demeanour changed as the realization came over me, I didn’t want them to leave, it would be so lonely without them, and I couldn’t let them go back to that dump of an alley. What am I going to do? I thought to myself, but before I could come up with a solution Seoyeon grabbed me and started dragging me in to my room, telling me that I need to get ready for work, we had a lot of clean up to do and there would most likely be a lot of hungry customers.

The room was dark and cold with just small streaks of light coming through the curtains, yoongi was twisted up in the blankets at the end of the bed in his usual spot, Seoyeon paid no mind to him and started chatting quite loudly and opened up the windows letting the light in. Due to Seoyeon's chirpy mood and loud voice Yoongi had uncurled himself from the bed and made his way outside with the other boys, not saying a thing, Seoyeon kept rushing me while telling me about all that's been going on and bombarding me with questions about the boys.

"So, are you like, interested in them or something?" She asked with all her other questions making me stop and poke my head around the corner from where I was standing in my closet.

"What? No, of course not. They're just friends who I'm helping out..." I trailed off trying to deflect the question, and I poked my head back into the closet to hide the embarrassment on my face, I could hear Seoyeon walking around my room and 'inspecting' things.

"Mhm, yeah, sure, just 'friends of yours', nothing more." She said sarcastically, I rolled my eyes and began searching for a top in my drawers, I was starting to run out of clean clothes. I plucked one out after wrestling with the drawer to let it out of its grip and began to slide it over my head.

"Do you have any tissues? I just smudge my makeup." Seoyeon said.

"Yeah, there should be some in my top drawer." I yelled back attempting to point one hand in the right direction, although I'm sure I just looked like a wind man with my arm stuck in the shirt, as I adjusted the shirt and pulled it down it registered what I had just said, "Wait, Seoyeon."

"Y/n, what are these?"

Too late, Seoyeon was shuffling through the notes, I could see her eyes widen at someone them, most likely the more recent ones which had started becoming more threatening and aimed towards me, her mouth hung open and she raised her hand to cover it.

"W-whose been sending these?" She asked, still in shock.

I made my way over to her to try and grab them back, but due to her height advantage she was easily able to hold them out of my reach. "I don't know, it's fine, just put them back, or give them here." I whined as I tried to reach for her hand.

"No, Y/n. This is serious, these things...these notes. Someone is threatening you, you need to tell them to stop. This is not okay!" She almost yelled back at me in her stern voice, shaking the notes around in the air, I sighed and gave up trying to reach the notes, I plopped myself down in front of her on the bed.

"I don't know who is sending them. They just started appearing a few days ago, everyday there's another one, except for Fridays. But it doesn't matter-" "Do they know? Do all your seven boyfriends know?" She asked me.

"No, they don't- wait, no! They're not my boyfriends!"

"Yeah-yeah, whatever, but y/n, you can’t keep letting this happen, it’s harassment. Let’s figure out who did it, put a stop to it. I can bring my brothers baseball bat." She joked towards the end trying to lighten the mood, but I could see the excitement in her eyes about being able to use the bat on someone, again. "We could even get Jiyoon to come too, she lives here so maybe she can help and bring some of her weird art stuff, I’m sure some of it would be useful. We'll do it on one of the days that they usually leave you a note, that way when they knock on the door I'll come running out with my bat." She laughed before sliding the notes back into the drawer and sitting down next to me, the room fell silent, I could hear the boy outside talking amongst themselves then Seoyeon hit me in the arm before giving me the look, telling me she was getting impatient, and we need to go.

With Seoyeon rushing me it didn’t take long to get ready, I was walking through the kitchen and grabbed my water bottle out the fridge before turning to the boys, some of whom were sitting on the couch. “I’m off to work guys, wait around until I get back, okay? See you later!” I yelled the last part as I stepped out the door, me and Seoyeon made our way to the elevator, Chaeryeong was inside with her cart along with Jangho from downstairs, as we stepped in Jangho gave me a bit of a glare before stepping away from me.

What his problem?

I told Chaeryeong which level to press and the elevator started moving, I waved goodbye to her as me and Seoyeon left the building through the front entrance as we decided to take her car so she can just drop me off after work. We headed into town and quickly arrived at the café, we unlocked everything and as Seoyeon was setting up the stuff, I was in the kitchen going through anything expired and starting on a batch of pastries. The morning was incredibly busy as we were franticly running around, and it only stayed that way.

It's Over...? (9)

I slowly turned the key to unlock the door, I was so exhausted from work, I pushed the door open and slid inside, closing it behind me, I dragged my feet through the foyer and past the kitchen before dropping myself onto the couch, Namjoon and Taehyung sat across from me. The house was quiet, it felt strangely empty despite the eight human beings inside of it, only 3 of which I could spot including the oddly large body shaped mound laying on my bed.

“Tough day at work?” Namjoon asked me, my lidded eyes met his as I started mumbling in my tired state.

“You have no idea. More customers than I could even count, we must have sold at least 300 cupcakes.”

“Should we go now you’re home?” Taehyung spoke, sadness lacing his deep voice., his eyes met mine and for a split second, they seemed worried.

I hadn’t thought of that, I tried to buy myself some time to come up with a reason for them to stay by telling them to wait until I got home, I got so caught up with the café that I completely forgot.

“O-oh, uhm, well-It’s wet! Yes, the rain has stopped, but everything is still wet, so you could still get sick. You can stay for another day or two, just until things start to dry up, heh.” I fumbled out making an excuse on the spot. The boys seemed relieved, but also a bit sad, it was hard to tell since my eyes kept closing. I grabbed a folded blanket from the end of the couch and laid down, trying to rest my sore body.

I didn’t mean to sleep, I just wanted to rest and relax for a bit, but due to just how exhausted I was, it didn’t take long for my body to betray me and take a nap. If I was awake I would have noticed how all the blankets and pillows from the couch had been folded up nicely, and I would have seen how spotless the kitchen was, if I had gone into my room I would have seen how the bed was fully made and the floor and been tidied up.

I would have seen the bags, lined up, packed, and sitting towards to door, ready to go out.

It's Over...? (9)

I woke up sometime in the evening, I could smell the food along with hearing Jin and Jungkook talking, I rubbed my eyes before slowly sitting up and stretching my arms, I swung my legs over and stood up, I made my way over the table and sat down next to Jungkook.

“Did you sleep well, Y/n?” He asked me, smiling.

“It was okay, I feel bad that Jin and Namjoon have been sleeping on that for the past week, I can feel the back pain already.” I croaked out due to my dry throat and half joking towards the end. Jin laughed before placing a plate in front of me and Jungkook.

“Trust me, I’ve had worse places to sleep.” He smiled before turning back and plated up more food, I wasn’t sure if I should have laughed or been worried about what Jin had said, Namjoon told me some things about when they were all together in the alleyway, but I didn’t know anything about before that.

I didn’t have much more time to think as the other boys all came out to eat too, and just like everything else he had cooked, this came out amazing. “Jin, you have to teach me how to make this.” I exclaimed.

Jin laughed and spoke. “Another time, I promise.”

We all sat around and continued to eat the food occasionally asking me how work was which I exchanged with asking them how their day went, I took me a while to notice at first but, Jin was the only one standing, which meant someone was sitting down because there was a spare seat.

Where’s Yoongi?

“Is Yoongi not hungry?” I asked them, figuring they would know where he’d be.

“Probably, I haven’t seen him since lunch time. He’s probably sleeping somewhere.” Hoseok said looking at me.

I nodded my head before finishing my food, when everyone finished, they seemed to go back to what they were doing before while Seokjin started cleaning, I asked him if he wanted any help, but he told me to just rest.

I looked around at the other boys doing their things, but still no Yoongi. I decide to have a look around since my anxiety was getting the best of me now, I checked my bed first of all, but he wasn’t there, then I checked the spare room, the bathroom, the balcony’s, I triple checked the couch, but I still couldn’t find him.

Where is he?

I walked into my room to double check again, definitely not in the bed, I went into my closet, not likely that he’d be in here, but I had to check. The lights were off, but there was just enough light for me to see, I was moving clothes across on the racks when a slight movement caught my eye, I pulled the clothes apart making a large space between my jumpers, as I looked down between them, I saw a black blob.

What?

Suddenly two glowing dots appeared on the blob and a long tail stuck out from one side, I jumped back in shock at the weird thing in my closet, I put my hand to my chest trying to catch my breath, I crouched down on the floor and slowly moved the two jumpers apart again.

It wasn’t some weird blob with eyes and a tail, it was a cat, a small black cat, fluffy, but not too much, it was staring right back at me, I reached my hand out to pet it and it nuzzled into my hand.

“How did you even get here?” I asked, chuckling, as I kept petting it, what caught my attention was its paw as it raised one up to me, it had these small scars on its right paw, looking down I saw that it also had some on the other paw. I looked back at the cat, now curious as to what happened.

Its ears, they were smaller, but so similar, they looked just like Yoongi' s.

“Yoongi?” I asked it, it nuzzled its head harder into my hand before moving closer to me. “Wait, you’re a cat? You can turn into a cat?” I asked him, before realising that, although he can understand me, I can’t understand him, so he can’t really tell me.

I moved closer to him, I was covered by the hanging clothes now as we both sat in the closet, Yoongi curled up in my lap as I kept petting him, it was nice and quiet in the closet, alone time, well apart from Yoongi, but that was okay. I kept petting him as he fell asleep on my lap, and I too followed his lead as I fell asleep in the bottom of my closet.

It's Over...? (9)

The whining was getting louder and the constant shifting in the bed was stirring me in my sleep, I slowly cracked my eyes open to see my dark room, I don’t know how I got here, but someone must have found me, it was the middle of the night now. I blinked a few times trying to adjust my eyesight, I lazily flopped my hand on the nightstand before moving it around like a fish out of water trying to find the switch for the lamp, I hit the switch and a dim, warm light slightly illuminated the room. I slowly brought myself to roll over under the blankets to face the man who kept mumbling, whining, and almost yelling in his sleep, as well as the constant kicking and tossing.

His face was scrunched up and his eyes were closed, he was sweating, and his hair was sticking to his forehead. “Stop… stop, stop!” He kept mumbling. “No more… I can’t do it.”

He’s having a nightmare.

I reached towards him putting one hand on his shoulder and the other on his forehead checking his temperature, I slowly starting to shake him trying to wake him up. “Hoseok? Hoseok, you need to wake up. It’s just a dream, c’mon, you need to wake up.” I slurred in my tired state.

He slowly started to calm down and I stopped shaking him and just run my hand up and down his shoulder, his face started to relax as he finally opened his eyes, the moonlight from the window was reflecting into his dark brown eyes as he stared at me and looked around checking his surroundings, he seemed confused which was understandable, so I moved closer to him.

“It’s okay, it was just a dream. It wasn’t real.” I said as I moved his head close to me so he could lay his head on my chest. “I’m right here, and I’m not leaving.” I whispered to him as I kept moving my hand up and down his back, he moved his arm to tightly wrap around my waist and pulling me closer to him, I could feel his heartbeat against my side, the constant thump, thump, thump, was almost soothing, and it was gradually getting slower and his breathing was returning to normal as I could feel it fanning across my neck.

I sighed What could he have been dreaming about? I thought to myself, some movement in the bed caught my attention and I looked down towards the end, a black mass slowly made its way towards us before squeezing in between me and Hoseok, Yoongi purred as I moved one of my hands to pet him too. I waited until I knew Hoseok was asleep and everything was back to normal before I allowed myself to drift off again, Hoseok soft breathing and Yoongi’s purring lulled me back to sleep.

It's Over...? (9)

It had been two days since the rain had stopped and the café hasn’t slowed down one bit, it was still busy as ever and with the lack of staff it was really taking a toll on me and Seoyeon, early mornings and late nights trying to find time to get everything done, there was never enough time. It was late at night now, well past dinner time, the boys are going to be worried, and I had no way of contacting them to let them know that I was okay and just running late, speaking of whom, they were going to find out soon, there was no way I could just keep telling them that it was still wet outside, I have to hurry up and ask them to stay, I had been stalling about them leaving for too long, I don’t want them to leave, but I don’t want to be selfish.

What if I just-

“Hey! Y/n, are you even paying attention?” Seoyeon snapped her fingers in my face, pulling me away from my thoughts.

“Sorry, I just had something on my mind…” I said, trailing off.

“Yeah, well, this is really important, Y/n. What are we going to do? We can’t keep this up, I’ve already asked Nali and Haewon about their hours and they both said they couldn’t put anymore in, in fact, Nali said that they might have to cut back because it's exam season for them.”

I groaned as I sank my head into my palms rubbing them on my face, probably smudging my already ruined makeup. “I don’t know, I could try and hand out some posters. No, when would I even have time for something like that. Maybe some more online ads?”

“Either way, we need to figure something out. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Seoyeon said sadly, patting my back and giving me a sad smile as she walked out the front door to go home. I started packing up my stuff and turning everything off so I could start heading home also.

Following my usual routine, I pried open the door and fell inside, closing it behind me before making my way further into the house, as I came around the corner, I could see all the boys that were sitting at the table suddenly stand at my presence.

“Y/n, where have you been? Do you know how late it is? We were worried something bad-”

Before Jin could finish his sentence my legs collapsed under me causing me to fall straight to the ground, my body colliding with the floor made a loud boom followed by some clanking as my bag also hit the ground, I didn’t try to get up, my body once again betrayed me as I felt like I couldn’t move, it was like everything was in slow motion. I could hear yelling from the boys, but my ears were ringing and my vision slightly blurry, I could hear someone saying my name as I was lifted from the floor by someone, and my body hung loose from the uncomfortable position in their arms.

I felt my back collide with a soft surface, the couch, but then my head was lifted back up again and paced higher up so I was slightly sitting up, I could see blurs moving around the area in front of me before one got really close, it was a face, but I couldn’t tell who.

“Here, Y/n, drink this.” The face said before another blurry object obstructed my vision of the face, I forced my mouth open slightly before feeling the cool sensation of water, I did my best to drink as much as I could before they moved again.

I groaned a bit and weakly tried to move myself and closed my eyes for a second before opening them and repeating like I was slowly blinking, slowly the blurry object became more formed and eventually I was able to make them out. My ears were still ringing slightly so when someone called my name, I didn’t realize.

“Y/n, are you okay? Aish, silly girl, you’re over working yourself.” Someone said, I think it was Jin. “Have you eaten?” With the strength I had left I slowly move my head letting him know that I hadn’t eaten.

I heard someone hum before I saw the Jin blob make his way into the kitchen and begin making something. Being so exhausted like this made me very emotional and I was so overcome by the stress that now both my body and mind had succumbed to the pressure.

“You need to look after yourself.” Hoseok said from the other end of the couch, looking in his eyes he seemed tired, he’s been having trouble sleeping the past few nights because of some nightmares, but behind that he seemed scared, worried, I felt bad for making him worry.

“I’m sorry, guys.” I said, sighing defeatedly.

“Y/n? What are you sorry for?” Jimin said as he crouched down in front of me and held onto one of my hands, rubbing circling on the back, the movement slightly calms my nerves and remined me to breath, I moved my other hand to cover my face to avoid embarrassment.

“I lied, I lied to all of you.” Jimin seemed to grow confused at my words but let me finish, his hand movements not stopping and instead slightly slowing down. “I told you that you couldn’t got home because it was still wet from all the rain, and it was wet, for a while, but then it dried. I kept telling you it was wet because I didn’t want you to leave.” I explained myself, feeling a bit guilty, I had their best interests in mind, but I didn’t ask them. Jimin’s mouth opened slightly, like he didn’t know what to say and his thumb that was circling the back of my hand came to a stop, I moved my arm and turned to look at him, his big brown eyes met mine and we just stared at each other for a bit before I decided to just sit up, my head started spinning from the movement and I brought my hand other up to hold against it.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you guys stay here if you didn’t want to, it’s just- I really didn’t want you all to leave, I love having you guys here, this apartment has never felt so alive, I’ve never felt so alive, but still, I shouldn’t have lied to you all.” I said, looking around the group, Jin had turned away from his cooking to listen too. “I thought you guys were better off here than in that alleyway, I know that there isn’t quite enough room, and we have to share sleeping areas, but surely that’s worth it though, right? You guys have proper places to sleep, clean clothes, food, a-a bathroom! And I don’t have to worry anymore because your safe and-” I got cut off mid ramble, making me follow the arm that belong to the hand that was covering my mouth, reaching the end I looked up and Jimin was staring at me.

“You worried about us back when we were staying in the alley?” He asked me, quirking his head to the side, his eyes were filling with curiosity and need, a need to know the answer.

“Yes, of course I did! I was always worried about what might happen to you guys, and after that… ‘incident’ I became really scared that it might happen again, and what if I wasn’t there to help? or what if they did something worse than that?” I said, pausing around the mention of the ‘incident’. Did they really think I didn’t care back then? “I just wanted you guys to be safe, and when you all agreed to come stay with me I was so happy that I would have to worry anymore… If you guys want to go, it’s okay, I can drive you now.” I began patting my pockets to search for my car keys, I shouldn’t be driving like this, but if that wanted to leave I couldn’t keep them, realsing that I didn’t have my keys on me I looked over to were my bag was and went to go stand up.

As I swung my feet over the couch and pushed my body up it didn’t take long for me to feel the repercussions of my actions, the room started spinning, objects blurring together, and I was loosing my balance, again, it felt like the world around me had slowed down as I fell back to the couch, but the impact felt like real time. I groaned at the impact and how my head felt like someone was shaking me like some glowsticks before slightly leaning to the side and my body slumping, trying to lay down. I could feel someone’s hands on my shoulder trying to softly lay me down, at last, I was lying down, my head was still hurting, but things were slowly starting to shape again and I could just make out Jimin’s ear on top of his head.

“Yeah, you’re not going anywhere like that.” I heard someone say.

They were right, and I was in no position to argue, my body was aching and my head pounding. “B-But what about-”

“We’ll talk about that tomorrow, get some rest.” Someone closer to me spoke before I felt a blanket being placed over me. “Goodnight, Y/n.”

I heard some shuffling and mumbling before the lights dimmed, just a small glow coming from the kitchen area, I tried shifting to get more comfortable, this couch was worse than I remembered. I pulled the blanket up further and pulled my arms in close, due to my aching limps and drained body, it didn’t take long for me to fall asleep and for the world to turn black.

The soft movements lulled me to sleep, although, I swear the couch didn’t breath last time. I was too tired and exhausted to care, so I pushed the thought aside.

It's Over...? (9)

I slowly cracked my eyes open, my head was pounding, and my face was tacky from last night, the sun was shining through the curtains is slightly lighting up the room, all my muscle ached, but I had to wake up. I slowly brought myself to sit up slightly perch on my elbow, I yawned and stretched my other arm that felt like it was going to fall off, I glanced around the room, but I didn’t spot anyone else.

Where are they?

I tried to wiggle myself backwards on the couch before rubbing my eyes and taking another look, still not there. I dropped myself back down and sighed, thinking the worst and just wanting to go back to sleep. I moved my feet around and tried to readjust the blankets to keep me warm even though I was already cozy, in my attempts to move the blanket up I had pulled it off my feet.

I starting kicking around, growing frustrated because all I wanted to do was go to sleep and avoid the reality of today.

“Would you stop kicking? You’re almost as bad as Hoseok.” A very close, tired voice grumbled, fear ran up my spine, but before I could pull myself away a sly arm found its way around my waist and gripped on before pulling me backwards. My throat was too tired to scream so all I could do was gasp at the sudden movements, I tried to pry away at the wrist on my stomach, but it was no use.

“Relax, you’re fine...here.” The voice that was right next to my ear mumbled. The arm started pulling me until I was fully facing the other way, facing this person.

He seemed to open his eyes and give me a quick once over before he closed them again, black hair flung around his face and pillow, a small scar under his eye, his cat ears sitting up on his head, the soft rumble of his chest was soothing against my own, his hand still draped over my side and holding me close to him.

“Yoongi? W-why are we on the couch together?” I mumbled, trying not to be too loud during to our close proximity.

“You fell asleep on me last night, and we didn’t want to move you.” He replied without even opening his eyes. My face blushed red at that as I looked down slightly to hide my face, not that he would have seen it.

How do I not remeber that? Think y/n, think.

Last night… I came home and I was so tired that I just collapsed, I remember Jin asking me if I ate anything, and then…oh, I remember now. I told them, I told them about what I did. Do they hate me?

No...

“O-oh, I’m sorry-“

“Don’t, don’t apologise. You were exhausted and if it was a problem, I would have pushed you off the couch.” He interrupted, I glanced back up to look at him, I saw his face move slightly and his eyes lids twitched, but they were closed, a small smile on his lips.

I looked up behind him, the small parts of the apartment that I could see from this new position, with the sun rays glowing against the wall, I small shudder of panic went through my body as I realised that I had woken up late and need to be at the cafe. I tried to pry his arm off me and push myself away so I could get up, but he kept a strong hold on me that only seemed to tighten the more I moved.

“Yoongi, c’mon I have to get up, I’m gonna be late.” I whispered hastily yet he refused to let go, so I had to use my only option.“Help me! Someone help me!”

Almost immediately heard a door being slammed open and footsteps.

“Y/n? What’s going on?” Someone yelled.

“Yoongi won’t let me go!” I whined, hoping for some sympathy, but I didn’t get any. After a short silence I heard some giggles erupting even though they tried to hold them back. “Please, I’m gonna be late for work.” I pouted, this whole time I could see the slight smirk Yoongi had on his face.

I felt Yoongi start shifting and his arm got looser, thinking that he was letting me go I tried to sit up, but he quickly pushed me back onto the couch and he himself got up first, I tried to stand up again, but he pushed me back down to sitting, I rolled myself over so I could finally face everyone else, the older boys were near the bathroom door and the younger boys were near the spare room.

“I have to get up for work.” I said half laughing, thinking that would make him show mercy, I went to hull myself up again and this time I actually made it, before the room started spinning and I fell back down again, I groaned at the pounding pain that had suddenly appeared in my head. I looked up at the boys, one eye squinted due to the pain, Yoongi looked at me smugly as if saying ‘told you so’ before he crossed paths with Seokjin and made his way into the bathroom. I grumbled out a goodmorning even though my morning was going good at the moment, but quicker than I could process Jimin lunged forwards and half onto me, gripping around my shoulders in a hug.

I groaned at the contact, but raised my arms to wrap around him and return the hug.

"I'm so happy you're okay, I was so worried." Jimin said in a hushed voice as he kept holding on to me and squeezing me slightly tighter.

"It's okay, Jimin, I'm okay-" Suddenly two arms squeezed their way between me and Jimin before prying us apart and pushing Jimin away a bit which let me take in a deep breath now I wasn't being hugged so tightly by the concerned Hybrid.

"Okay-Okay, give her some space, don't squeeze her, she's still sore." Taehyung said as he was now standing up next to Jimin.

Jimin looked at me, he didn't have to say anything because I could see it in his eyes, I smiled and nodded, letting him know I was okay, he smiled before turning himself away and heading for the bathroom after he picked up some clothes that he must have dropped in his surprise.

I looked over everyone else, something was different, it wasn't the surprise in their eyes, or the concern in their posture, their clothes, it was their clothes. I studied the boys a bit closer, they were wearing casual clothes, but not 'relaxing at home' clothes like the last few days, more put together, they looked like they were going somewhere.

I turned to look at Taehyung, who had taken a seat next to me, he was dressed up too, and his hair, it was still wet from styling, I could see where it was starting to curl a bit from drying towards the ends.

"W-where are you guys going?" I asked as my eyes moved slower than my head and I had to drag them away from Taehyung. I tried to politely smile at them and seem more put together, I didn't want them to leave, but I didn't want to force them to stay just because of me.

"We're coming to work with you!" Hoseok exclaimed, I could see behind him that Jin had gone to say something, but Hoseok beat him to it.

"You guys really don't have to, I’m sure I’ll be fine, just take some painkillers and I’ll be okay.”I tried to reassure them before attempting to stand again and make my way to the kitchen, but my ankle buckled slightly making me lose my balance and I landed back on the couch, I tried to force myself back up again, but Taehyung stuck his arm out preventing me from doing so, I turned to him and he just shook his head, I threw myself back and let out a long sigh.

"See, you need help. There's seven of us so I'm sure we can do your job for a day, didn't you say you were low of staff anyways? Now there's seven new staff members." Namjoon said from the kitchen, they all looked at me, and I could tell that they weren't backing down from this no matter what I did.

“We do need the help…but only if you’re sure.” I said to them. “A-are you guys going…back…after?” I said unsurely and slightly nervous.

“Well, we thought about it…and” All the boys seemed to share a look at each other, before they all turned back to me. “If you want us to stay, we would be more than happy to, and we can help out at the cafe, but only if you want us to of course.”

My heart stopped, and I stilled, they wanted to stay? They said yes? Realising that they actually said yes I was so happy, my chest hurt and I was about to stand up before I remembered that that probably wasn’t the best idea. “Well okay then!” I said with the biggest smile on my face. “It’s settled, you guys are staying with me! Okay-okay, oh! We have to get ready to go, the café opens soon.”

The rest of the morning was a bit of a blur as we all rushed to get ready and to the cafe, although, the boys wouldn’t leave me alone, granted, they were probably right for doing that as I could barely keep my balance and I would have most likely crashed the car if they had allowed me to drive in this state, so Hoseok drove and I sat in the back with Taehyung who I guess was appoint to ‘look after’ me, it’s not like I’m sick or anything.

Maybe I didn’t realise it at first, the exhaustion and the adrenaline were too much, but on the way to the cafe it hit me.

I just got 7 hybrids to run my café.

Hopefully they don’t burn the building down.

It's Over...? (9)

A/n: Chapter 9 if finally here! (I ran out of time to proof read this to my typical standards because I wanted to get it out for you guys.) Sorry if this chapter feels a bit flat, I rewrote the whole thing multiple times trying to fix it, I wanted to include a cute laundry scene with Kookie (Inspired by ‘Seven’), as well as the scene where Y/n and Seoyeon try and catch the person, but that’ll have to wait until next chapter since I didn’t want the chapter to be too long. Also, the boys working at the café? I’ve been waiting for this moment, I have some ideas of the shenanigans that will go on, but if you have an idea or something you like to see, let me know, I love reading the ideas you all have and they inspire the future chapters, so I might just add it into the story! I’m currently moving house so I’m not sure when the next chapter will be out, but I’m trying to find more inspiration for this series so I can make it better, OH, WE HAVE 40,001 WORDS NOW, but thank you all for the support! I hope you all have a lovely day or night and thankyou all for the support! 💜

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

The weather is perfect; rain. But not the beautiful, slight drizzle with a calming atmosphere.

No, it’s a torrid rainfall. The skies are dark, winds blustery, and there is a harsh downpour.

The weather matches the tension in the air as I storm out of my ex boyfriend’s apartment complex, a suitcase in one hand and my phone in the other.

The problems started about two months ago. I had been dating my now ex for only two months after meeting him on a blind date set up by a friend. After the date went well, me and him exchanged numbers. This led to us talking and then setting up another date. After seeing him for a month, I officially became his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day.

Then from February to June it was perfect. He would take me on romantic dates; restaurant dinners, sunset watching on the beach, a picnic, etc. This was the time I felt truly happy, enjoying every moment together.

It was in mid-May that I moved in with him into his apartment. Now, we could be even closer together and make even more memories. Slow dancing in the kitchen, cooking together, and binge-watching tv dates.

July fifth was the start of the trouble. We were cooking dinner together when I accidentally dropped a plate. It was really no big deal, as we had so many other plates, but he started shouting at me, calling me clumsy and stupid. Afterwords he apologized, and I forgave him.

Then a week later I forgot that we had a date together. I had been with my friends for the afternoon, hanging out and catching up. When I finally decided to look at your phone, I saw that I had thirty-four new messages from my boyfriend and then remembered I had a dinner date. A hasty goodbye to my friends and a quick drive over and I found my angry boyfriend. I was an hour late. The drive home was silent and once we got inside the yelling start again. He called me forgetful and stupid, saying he took time out of his day to see me, but apparently I couldn’t do the same for him. This time hurt more than the last, as I rarely got to see these friends.

There were countless other incidents where he got mad for no reason and yelled at me. Whether calling me lazy or messy, he always used the word stupid.

Who knew a simple word could impact and affect my life so much?

The violence was always verbal, but there were a couple times he slapped me. The sting made my eyes water, and I soon became paranoid; afraid that if I made him angry he would physically hurt me. As much as I tried to control it, he still noticed and was annoyed with me.

The last straw was when he accused me of cheating on him. I had been hanging out with my friend Minyoo, who was a close high school friend of mine. I hadn’t seen him in forever, and we talked and caught up all afternoon. After a warm hug goodbye, we exchanged numbers and promised to keep in touch,

But when I got home, there was my boyfriend, with another unhappy look on his face. I sighed, knowing I did something wrong again.

“What’s wrong?” I ask, already internally bracing myself for the yelling.

“You know what’s wrong! Cheating on me with your so-called ‘friend’?! How could you?! I have been loyal to you, and this is how you repay me?!”

“You know that I would never, ever cheat on you,” I start, but stop when he slams his fists on the coffee table. I don’t continue as I grow fearful of his anger.

“Never cheat? Hah! You’re such a good liar y/n. Always dishonest with me! And you wonder why I get mad! It’s because of you! You make me mad! Why are you so stupid?!”

At that word, I snap, going into the bedroom.

“Hey! Where are you going? I’m not done speaking yet!” I hear him shout from the living room.

After looking in the closet, I find my suitcase and start packing the essentials. By now, he had found me and found out what I was doing.

“Y/n, what are you doing?! Are you seriously thinking about leaving?”

I don’t respond, focusing on stuffing everything I can into my suitcase. After zipping it closed, I grab my phone and roll the suitcase into the living room.

“Y/n!” He grabs my wrist, “ Don’t be so stupid as to leave me! You will regret it!”

I try to rip my wrist from his grasp, and finally succeed.

“Stop it!” I hiss, “Let me go or I will yell for the neighbors.”

The threat seemed to work, my now ex-boyfriend letting me leave the apartment.

As I wander the rainy streets, I let my brain catch up with my actions.

Did I really just break up with my boyfriend?

Will he come after me?

Is it truly my fault?

The last question lingers in my mind.

As I approach a bus stop, I sit down underneath the covered area. Now soaked to the bone, I wonder what my next step should be.

I can’t call my family, as they’re living in the U. S. My friends don’t have any place for me to stay, and I know I don’t have enough money in my suitcase for a hotel room.

I truly have no option left.

The tears come again, and I sit alone on that bench until I hear a voice.

“Excuse me miss, are you alright?”

I look up through my tear-stained glasses to make out a slightly blurred face. A really handsome slightly blurred face.

“Oh,” sniffle, “I’ll be fine in a bit thank you,” sniffle, “Just a mental breakdown you know?” I say, trying to assure the handsome stranger. But it doesn’t seem to work.

“Really? Excuse me if I’m over stepping, but it seems like more than a ‘mental breakdown’ to me,” handsome man says, “You have a suitcase with you. Do you need a place to stay?”

I’m not sure what to say. I need a place desperately, but I don’t trust this man for obvious reasons. First, I literally don’t know anything about him, second, he could be a creep or a serial killer, and third, I literally don’t know anything about him!

Handsome man sees my hesitation and says, “I know, I’m a random stranger. But let me introduce myself. My name is Kim Seokjin, I’m twenty-six years old, and I’m an actor. I live with my six boyfriends, but we have an extra guest room you could stay in. I promise we’re not weird or creepy! But you might be weirded out by my perfect face!” He then winks at me and I laugh through my tears.

“Well, now that you know more about me, will you accept the offer? My boyfriend Yoongi is coming to pick me up, so if you want to you can come today. This rain is no joke!” He says, eagerly waiting my answer.

I quickly consider my choices. Seokjin said that he lives with six other boyfriends, which is a decent amount of people. But he has a guest room. But he could be lying and be creepy. But his eyes are so genuinely excited, so maybe he’s just kind. And I’m out of other options, and there is still about a month until I go back to college and can live in a dorm.

I surprise myself by saying “Yes, I’ll come live with you Seokjin. I’m sorry I’m such a mess, otherwise I wouldn’t accept this offer. But I promise it will only be for a month! I go back to college in a month and then I can live in a dorm so I won’t bother you and your boyfriends and-“

“Calm down. My boyfriends are very nice and don’t care how long you stay! If you could tell me your name though, that would be much appreciated,” Seokjin says with yet another wink.

I blush, I didn’t tell him my name yet!

“Oh, uh, right, my name’s y/n,” I mumble.

“Oh, y/n! Very lovely, just like yourself,” Seokjin says, smiling at me.

I blush even more, but then a car pulls up.

“Ah! This is Yoongi’s car,” Seokjin says, pulling me and my suitcase up to the passenger side of the car, the now light drizzles of rain falling onto our heads.

The window rolls down, and there is yet another handsome man. Of course someone as handsome as Seokjin would have an equally attractive boyfriend.

“Ah, Yoongi! This here is y/n, and she needs a place to stay because…” Seokjin pauses, looking at me, and I realize I never told him the reason why.

“Oh! Um, well, I just broke up with my boyfriend and we were living in his apartment, so…” I trail off, now embarrassed.

‘Yoongi’ just raises his eyebrows and tells Seokjin, “Of course she can come stay with us, but have you told the others yet?”

Seokjin is now the one looking embarrassed.

“I was going to just-“

“Bring her home and not tell the others? You know we have to discuss important things with everyone before making a decision,” Yoongi interrupts, annoyance flashing in his eyes.

Great, now I’m just a problem yet again.

“It’s no big deal, I can just find a hotel or somewhere else to stay,” I start, but get interrupted by Yoongi.

“No, it’s ok. I know Jin-hyung wouldn’t just invite anyone over. I guess it’ll be a surprise to everyone at home,” Yoongi says pointedly at Seokjin.

“Yah! I couldn’t just let her be! She was crying and I knew you guys would be kind enough to let her stay with us!” Jin protests, making Yoongi roll his eyes.

“Whatever Jin-hyung. Just put y/n’s suitcase in the trunk and get in. Y/n, I promise it’s no big deal. We all know the feeling of needing a place to stay, trust me.” Yoongi then gestures for me to get in the backseat.

I open the door and climb in as Seokjin puts my suitcase in the back. After he climbs in the passenger seat, we’re off to their house.

What did I just do?

a/n: kind of a short prologue but i had to have some backstory! hope you enjoyed reading :)
