ZHONGLI wasn't the same anymore. In everybody's eyes, he was the patient, mature, smart, polite and handsome man who has been working in the Funeral Parlor of Liyue Harbor. No one ever thought he would have a lover or any "views" nor crush on someone. He was too perfect for this. Too special.

Oh, well, if the knew about you. If they knew about the beautiful person you were. The moment he had seen you, walking in the harbor, enjoying the sunset on that peaceful day, he swore his heart skipped a beat. At first, he convinced himself that it was nothing. You were just a normal person, liking the beautiful sight of the sun resting on the sea. He tried, many times, to erase you from his mind. He didn't even know your name ! It was so weird of him to remember you after one or two weeks. Until he saw you again, but this time, in front of the Funeral Parlor Director.

But, seeing you everyday at the Funeral Parlor, greeting him with this oh so charming smile, looking at him with those pretty eyes, he just couldn’t resist for a long time, even if he tried. He couldn’t stop his heart to beat faster in your presence, or a feeling of heat creeping on his cheeks everytime you were in his sight.

And then he knew. This feeling was old, and he thought never meet it again, but here it is : he couldn’t blame you. Nor himself. You were just… you. He couldn’t help it. Zhongli promised himself to never fall in love ever again but there you are, and your presence just melt his heart. He loved everything about you : the way you laugh when Hu Tao makes her stupid and immature jokes, the way you wave at him and you see him working at his desk, the way you talk when you described him the last book you read, the look you give him when he told you ancient stories of Liyue… You were sweet, caring, kind, and inviting him to eat with you everyday couldn’t make him happier.

He wished to never fall in love with someone again, because love was as painful as beautiful, and he wasn’t ready to handle it again. But you prove him otherwise. Yeah, he likes you. He’s ready to face it. Now, he was just waiting for you.
