Thalia doesn’t keep many things in the hundreds of years she’s been alive. 

But long ago, there were people, their names all but distant memories, who mattered in her 1st lifetime. It’s their things that stay hidden in her bag, reminding her of her mortal life. 

A blue hoodie, worn almost threadbare. The scent of its original owner, long since leached from the fabric. But if she closes her eyes, she can almost see the blue eyes of her first and only love. 

A pair of glasses. Frames cracked and crooked. A reminder of a brother she never got to truly know. 

A baseball cap. It’s magic long faded, branded with a forgotten logo. Memories of a blonde girl laughing hidden deep within. 

A letter. Ink fading, paper yellow. The last words of a dying friend. Words that wish her well, words that wished her well in a world they had fought side by side to save. 

Thalia doesn’t keep a lot of things, but even after all this time, Luke, Jason, Annabeth, and Percy will stay with her forever. The memories of her first family to remind her why life is so beautiful.

Leo: *frantically rubbing himself down with balloons*

Nico: What on earth are you doing?

Leo: I’m about to try asking Jason out.

Nico, sarcastically: Sure, that explains everything.

Leo, impatiently: I need it to go well. Look at that face. He must have people hitting on him all the time, so I need a way to stand out.

Leo, grinning: So I’m going to use static electricity to create an electric shock when I casually touch him, so sparks will literally fly when I ask him out.

Nico, amused: Okay, well have fun tricking Jason into falling in love with you.

I hate how people accuse Percy of forgetting about Calypso. He made the gods promise to free her and he was under the impression that they would.

It makes sense that Calypso would be upset/angry with him because she's isolated and didn't know if he even tried to help her after he left. That makes sense to me.

But the gods went back on their promise. And everyone holds Percy responsible. He was just a kid, freshly turned 16. Like what was he expected to do? Babysit the gods to make sure they held up their end of the deal? He shouldn't be expected to do that.

Not to mention even if he would've thought to check up on Calypso, he spent 6 months of his sixteenth year with no memories of his past. He literally had no way to help her. Hera stole months from him.

not now baby, mommy is once again thinking about how much Luke shaped Percy as the person we know today, how much of a mirror they are to each other, Luke is everything Percy could become and Percy is everything Luke could have been.
