Mashriqiyyah

You won’t give up on something until and unless Allah puts it in your heart that you deserve better and then one morning you’ll see a very different side of you and you will gladly welcome it. It will be a much stronger you, both emotionally and mentally. You will be surprised how easily your heart will be ready to let go of that which you once desperately desired and prayed for.

Everything gets easier and life feels less burdensome once you get rid of that which Allah has not written for you.

It's so insane once you lose the emotional attachment to someone and the next moment you realise how ordinary they were and you keep wondering "what was I even thinking?!"

“In all your time on this earth, what have you offered to your nation? What have you learned, or studied to be of at least some benefit to your people? The least one can do is strengthen the soul and purify the heart, in order to be ready when the call to freedom is made, but even that has been left behind. There will soon come a time when this "straw that has broken the camel's back" comes along, and we will have an abundance of individuals who are of no use to anyone. And so what happens? All these years of suffering, pain, oppression and sacrifices, all gone down the drain because we didn't properly use this free time, because we didn't utilize this comfortable environment we are in for the good. And so another oppressor comes along and we're back to the beginning of a dreadful era yet again.”
