Thank you! That post was actually the result of a year's worth of research when I was in undergrad.

And you're absolutely right. I ran out of space and the post was already so long, but I noted in my research that I've seen this repeated on another show. Lucifer by Fox and now also netflix cast Mazikeen for once again racial diversity, and them promptly made sure she'd never play love interest for Lucifer (like she is in the comics). Instead they ignored the dark brown girl in favor of the white blonde cop.

Like hollywood really decided to racebend (a good thing) and then thought well now that these characters aren't white time to add in racism to the story. Like they can't resist it or something.

So my husband drew me another comic for Christmas this year. This time featuring a whole day of Matt Murdock making good choices (for a change). Now featuring an alternate ending! :O
