This. I've had to say my southern state was actually pretty pro-union, and is full of blue collar workers. We're a pretty heavy tobacco farm state, along with livestock and sweet potatoes. On top of that, our biggest export is mainly medical stuff; Vaccines, blood, toxins and cultures, etc.

My state is home to one of the biggest Pre-Med and Med School.

My state has some of the biggest fortune 500 companies HQs in the state. Some of which being Lowe's Home Improvement, Krispy Kreme, Honeywell, Truist and Bank of America. Big Mack (One of the biggest Semi Truck companies) also had its world headquarters in my state for the longest time. I used to pass by it on my way to work all the time.

My state is the second largest financial banking capital in the entire country, right after New York City.

My state has the beautiful Appalachian Mountain range, the wild horses of the Outer Banks, the piedmont region and sandhills. We have swamps and alligators, and Venus Fly Traps are native to my state!

Emeralds are found within mines, and there are places you can go panning for crystals, like miners do.

So many movies and TV shows have been filmed here, and so many celebrities have come from my state.

We're more than smart. We're kind and beautiful people, and yes the loud minority of my state makes it unbearable sometimes as a trans person, but you want to know what's really unbearable? Being told that I sound uneducated because of my accent.
