Oh good. The work-related dreams are back. Exactly what I wanted....

I'm feeling salty and disappointment. I love Tumblr. It is the opposite of doom-scrolling for me because I can curate my experience better than other social media platforms.

When I'm feeling down or need a break, I scroll through my Likes. It's like wrapping myself up in a warm blanket and watching my comfort movie/show.

But dang, I was not prepared tonight to be reminded how easily content can be yanked from us. What is the recourse here?

Yes, I can backup my blog, but I can't backup others' posts. So do I reblog and privately post everything I want to Like but not necessarily share with my followers? If someone or an AI clutches its pearls at said content, wouldn't it get pulled from my reblog too? Would that put my blog at risk? Would I need to just keep making backups of my blog?

I tried scrolling down to my first Like back in 2013 and saving the webpage, but that didn't seem to work very well. :/

That's some nice content bringing you joy there. It would be a shame...if it suddenly disappeared from our website.
