I love the parallels between the interactions Azul had with the twins as a child and the ones he has with others now.

He's pushy. Annoying, even, never going away no matter how often he's told to. He takes barbs and threats in stride, constantly sticking by the target of his interest - Case in point, his interactions with Jamil and Riddle.

When Azul was a child, who did he have to socialize with? Pretty much no one, right? Everyone avoided him.

... Except for the Leech twins. And how did they act with him? That's right: The exact same way. No matter how often Azul threatened to ink them or told them to shut up and leave him alone, they kept pestering him, and that's what brought their relationship where it is now. Just like how Azul keeps approaching others, pestering them no matter how much he's told to leave them alone.

Part of this is probably just the fact that Azul didn't really have any other frame of reference, but at the same time, I can't help but get the idea that he unconsciously copied their mannerisms. It's a nice sign of their closeness, that, no matter how much Azul claims they're nothing more than his business partners, he can't help but copy their actions.

TLDR: Azul mimics the way the twins interacted with him as a child and I think it's a cute sign of their closeness.
