So, Halloween means I get free reigns to make an AU (Talking like Kraken has not enabled me a huge amount)

Beware, Bungiu Bubai (Dreamcatcher Sage) or Bun/Bai for short.

Bai's form is based on a ferret and she is way smaller than most dream catchers as her size can help dreamers to get used to her. She uses her coat to cover children/innocent people from nightmares so they can hide in a safe space where she has her gold accesories to glow as a comfort.

She is a little selfish (since she isn't supposed to interfere with the nightmares due to her job) with her acts but when they trynna catch her she just burrows herself in any near earthy biome and just vanish.

How did Bai met Lynde(Human Traum)?

Bai was coursing through dreams as usual, when she found a human child in a particularly bad dream. Plagued by what they only can expect to be a personification of their insecurities. She decided to help him with them, hiding him with her coat and comforting him as long as she could, without actually interacting with the nightmares.

She stayed long until he woke up, not before they promised the child a visit in every dream to make sure they would be safe.

Is Bai a Yandere since this is a reverse Au?

No, she is not. I wanted to take the essence and play a bit with the fact. But Sage's personality doesn't allow her to become Yan in the dreamcatcher AU. I would leave that to Lynde still. But maybe I can try that in another kind of reverse AU.

How did fell in love with Lynde(Human Traum)?

Intense stalking and trying (From Lynde's side) and some very good analysis of how Bai is weak to weakness. Began as Lynde winning over her time and effort to "avoid the nightmares" and slowly started enjoying and longing the company. Bai couldn't fight againt the shy-hottie rizz.

What is Lynde/Traum's job in this AU?

[I am taking a huge leap, so Kraken or anybody can give me a better idea if they want!]

I think Lynde would be loaded, first, because yandere powers. So they would have a sicko lab or something related to induce sleep on themselves so they can spend more time together. I believe Lynde wouldn't outright seek a job because that would take valuable time apart from Bai and that is not something he would allow.

Sketches time!

I am just about to explain each sketch? Yes, yes I am.

First one, its the first encounter between the babies. Bai was just going along when she saw a crying child, tormented by a nightmare (Imagine that the generic nightmare is a humongous monter or smth). She comforted the child, they cannot make the nightmare go away since that is a power only the dreamer has. But they can stay until they calm down or wake up.

Then we have the disguise, I did think of changing it to match the dreamcatcher persona but its Sage, if she really were to not need any job and sleep all she wants, they would be 1000000% more relaxed and happy. Still mischevious tho, but the design just has her more happy and without scars/eyebags that came with the OG self story.

Also Lynde reaction to the first time Bai/Sage shows him love irl, bc I can.

And some love doodles too bc I wanted to.

hey holo mom! i was wondering if you had any tips on how to make hair loose like yours? i'm an artist myself but the way i draw hair looks pretty stiff and i'd like to draw mine all loose and fluff, similar to yours! hope you're having a great day and remember to take breaks whenever you need them

yep I have a trick;

After I finish the figure, I'm picking the same brush that I use for drawing figure. My brush is round, has no fade effect and texture.

then I pick a random color to get ready to start drawing the hair (it's helping me to not to confuse hair layer with others). The trick is; giving out lines to brush strokes. For ps; click on current layer which is hair layer aka my Layer 4 copy > Stroke > Outside. You can use my settings, but the colors and sizes are depends on ur choice.

with this layer setting, every brush stroke is fuse together and create a lineart effect. At this stage, I freely draw the hair as I like (creating extra messy hair strings etc to make the hair look more natural and fluffy). Another lil trick: I'm using another layer w/ different colors for different parts of the hair. So I can see the back parts.

If i like the brush strokes, I'm lowering the opacity of the hair layer around %30-50. Then I start drawing my clean and detailed lines over it. Sometimes I change a lots of detail at this stage, it's totally ok.

I use brush stroke hair technique as a guide to draw hair and re-drawing over it. But I saw some artists that drawing hair in this way and avoiding the lineart stage. They're mostly adding details and painting over the plain color layer. It's all about your choice.
