Have you ever wondered how a line of a subway system could be turned into a city? Have you ever thought about how housing, politics, or business might work in a city comprised of train cars?

Have you ever wanted a reason to google weird details about Boston and be surprised at what's actually based in truth?

Would you like to learn how a character's complex emotional journey can be represented through the careers of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon?

Does the idea of narrator shenanigans appeal to you?

Would you like to feel genuine complicated emotions about a man whose first name is Dipshit?

Do you want to learn about obscure and sometimes gross forms of divination?

Have you ever thought that more kidnapping scenes ought to contain a debate about the plural of hippopotamus?

Would you like to listen to a show in which so many wild things happen that the discovery of Atlantis is a relatively minor plot point?

I listened to ep1 of @wanderersjournalpod in Portugal and ep2 in the UK. Where will ep3 take me? When it comes out, should I listen wherever I am, or save it until I'm next in a new country?

On top of all these Merely Roleplayers possibilities, a couple of things I've been a guest on are also eligible this year!

Unfortunately the Heart: The City Beneath two-shot on Actual Play UK, which I'm legitimately proud of, straddles the eligibility cutoff; part 1 came out within the period but part 2 was outside it. Because of the way the CRIT Awards do their awarding periods, though, it might well qualify for the 2025 round! So keep it in mind for next year 😂

The Creator Recognition in Tabletop RPG Awards are open for nominations until the end of May, and lots of our stuff from the past year is eligible!

You all got us to the final ballot in 2 categories last year – thank you again, it was incredible to hear the words "Merely Roleplayers" read out alongside so many luminaries of roleplaying and storytelling!

At this nomination stage, you're free to nominate whoever and whatever you like in each category. It's free choice, not multiple choice. Then people/things with enough nominations get put on the final ballot for everyone to check out and vote on.
