Crying because do you think that Luffy was so upset at failing to save Vegapunk was because it reminded him of his inability to save Ace. He was even killed by an Admiral through the chest. This isn't funny Oda ðŸ˜
I think the funniest and the most tragic thing they can do is casting Ace's voice actor to voice Luffy for the One Piece remake.
A very niche AU I enjoy is when Luffy is sent back in time and meets Ace and the Whitebeards but I'm gonna make it even more niche and suggest an AU where all of the straw hats (post-wano) are sent back in time without Luffy to meet the Whitebeards.
