hot take:
crushing on/hyperfixating on fictional characters is a form of self-love. imagining yourself in scenarios, be romantic or platonic, with a fictional character is self-love. i've strugged since 2018 with depression and self-esteem issues, and the best way to remedy that is to be kinder to yourself, right? however, there's no one way to be kinder to yourself. but if your imagination can bring a character to life and tell you how hard youre working or amazing/beautiful you are, its basically you coming up with a conversation in which you're reassuring yourself what you want to hear. <3
Finding a new favorite fictional character is like, will you be temporary or will you become a permanent part of my personality for the next 10 years?
sometimes you look at someone’s art and you know EXACTLY what’s going on and you’re like

reblog if your inbox is always open for new members of the fandom who may be a little shy or intimidated. doesn’t matter whether or not you’re a “popular blog”; everyone here is equal and if you’re reading this as a new person/someone considering entering the fandom, we will not turn you away!!!! talk to us!! make friends!! i more than understand being shy but trust me this fandom is chill come join us in this hellhole
I've gotta say that there is no better achievement as a neurodivergent person than hyperfixating on a character for so long that you are known as "the 'insert character name here' person"
