man so many people have asked this,, thing is I"m not entirely sure on how I would integrate them in a way I like just yet.. I don't wanna leave them out, it kinda feels like doing a disservice to the show or whatever. (// mentions of abuse and CSA) It's just that, knowing DID alters split due to traumatic and fucked up events, and the fact that Vito is triggered whenever Mike has his shirt removed - usually against his own will - its easy to put two and two together to come to the conclusion that some... unsavoury things would have happened to him as a kid for Vito to develop. and I really do not feel comfortable about writing... that anywhere. that's way too much for me to handle. however, I want to try including him somehow later on, but in a way where he doesn't need to be an alter.

this isn't canon to the au or anything, but @rhunsui 's comment on how Vito could have came to be cuz Mike accidentally drank beer thinking it was soft drink, and the idea has not left me since,, so I needed to make this so I can think clearer

As for Mal, I kinda have a similar view thatI'm not entirely sure on if I want him to be an alter or something else completely,, just cuz lots of people believe he's a more 'stereotypical' 'evil' split personality and I don't want to put that same bad taste in other people's mouths.. Like I DO have an idea for him, without spoiling anything like his still in Mike's mind and interact with him/others, but something other than an alter, yknow?
