Dedicate Your Hearts

Do you perhaps have any tips for an author who's just starting out? I'm too embarrassed to post my writing amd I was just wondering if you know any way to overcome that or if you have any tips to get better at writing so I can be proud of my work😣❤️

Heh Anon, I know how daunting sharing your writing can be, particularly when you’re just starting out.  I still get a little nervous whenever I post a new fic and I’ve been writing fanfic for almost ten years now!   One of the joys of writing fanfiction though is that you have a ready made audience of sympathetic readers who are generous with their comments.  So please don’t be afraid to share your writing with other fans, I’m sure you’ll be really encouraged by the response.  You can reach out to other writers too, many of whom are happy to share their experience and provide feedback and comments.

If I was to leave you with one piece of advice it would be to enjoy your writing.  Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks.  Write for yourself, write the stories you want to write, and if other people enjoy reading them as much as you enjoyed writing them that’s just a bonus.
