Donnie suddenly sat up straight. He opened his eyes, still glowing like they had when the spell started.  Then he tilted his head back and opened his mouth. Black smoke poured out and shot straight up into the ceiling where it vanished.

In all seriousness, the really fast reconciliation between Vaggie and Charlie was kinda upsetting to me in that they really didn't *talk* about the issue at all on screen. I understand fully that the low episode count was the likely reason for this. I know they HAD to talk about it at some point before the final battle, though. The entirely unnecessary full-demon rage glare Charlie was giving the defeated Lute seems to lend credence to that theory, at least. Charlie knew what Lute did to Vaggie, even beyond the battle bruises Vaggie had just gotten. Anywayyyy... this is my personal take on how that conversation went down. Used it as a fun experiment with a different coloring style, as well. Enjoy!!

It's been months. Months since Mikey had told him. Months since he fell into constant research, trying to find anything- anything at all- that could help. That could stop what Mikey had said was inevitable. Even if he doesn't use his magic at all, he's too far gone. He's going to die...

Ghost rubs his forehead, frustrated and tired. He sighs. He feels someone behind him, and he knows who it is. Mikey watches him quietly, a look on his face that Ghost does not want to see. The same look of acceptance that he's had for a while now.

Mikey steps closer, and raises a hand to gently hold Ghost's. "Meditate with me..."

It's been months since he last asked that of him. This time, it wasn't a cheeky suggestion or whiny command. But a question. and a plea. A plea for Ghost to take this chance to be with him for what very well could be the last time. 'Any day now, maybe' Mikey had said, all those months ago. Ghost doesn't want to accept such a thing. Not as easily as Mikey had...

But, closing his eyes, he nods. He holds Mikey's hand. He catches the small smile on Mikey's face when he finally stands. And, honestly, that alone makes this worth it.
