You lurched forward, just barely dodging the bodies of passersby, your arm outstretched as you tried to grab onto your son who was racing as quickly as his small legs would carry him down the sidewalk. “Joowon.” “Try and catch me, mommy!” He giggled, looking back at you over his shoulder, his already chubby cheeks rounding even further in a grin that was as mischievous as it was pure innocence.

@versigny kappy has some crazy amazing beautiful wonderful writing craft skills omg i love all her works because even if theyre not outright smut theres always this underlying sexual tension and she executes it so well and the way she writes from the perpsective of the oc is just absolutely beautiful and its legit prose. its just poetry. i just recc’d her jimin!vamp one and trust me, i legit read this like a thousand times, or the friendstolovers!namjoon fic

@vankoya ivory has longer fics/oneshots that are really beautifully written and thoughtful in its plot, character descriptions/growth, and the rising action to the smut. she’s also a beast at the smut itself too, and it tends not to be too crass, but is beautifully written and slow-burn like crazy so you can feel the tension as you read through it. try something in the water, its so cute

@gukyi is one of my favorite writers PERIOD her au’s are amazing and she also puts in a lot of thought into her plots and the development toward the smut, which takes you for a great great ride and umph the smut is top notch quality

@jimlingss and is hands down my fave fluff writer ever. her announcer-seokjin, hufflepuff!jimin with @chinnychimchim (addie, who is also a smut queen and i 100% recommend) fics had me on the floor, and the icing on the cake is that her fics also have smut in them too! she takes a lot of time developing the relationship between the characters, which makes the smut more meaningful, so yea! 

@workofteaguk traci has so so so many good fics, and i don’t even know where to begin because its just so so nice and well thought out. her spiderman!jungkook fic changed my life like, forever, and oh god her harry potter fics rocked my world last week when i was a little thirsty hp! hoe. go go go 

and last but not least, my queen @promixity lou is an amazing smut writer. you asked for something super romantic/sensual, and lou’s smut is really realistic and she’s so good at putting good dialogue in it. it’s nasty tho (in g&g tae’s words, “its not good sex unless its a little nasty”) but i personally love her insemination wars fic in how intimate yoongi and the oc’s marriage relationship is that they can have that kind of sex between them two. its a great fic and a great au and all from a great writer and tbh in my opinion that’s as sensual u can get w someone

You’d taken this job because you heard that it paid well. Camp counselor—and no, not the working-at-the-local-nature-park kind. The I’m-literally-getting-eaten-alive-by-mosquitos-and-living-in-a-cabin-in-the-middle-of-the-woods kind. With teenagers. Moody, hormonal, pubescent children.

Fuck, you never realized how much teenagers suck until now.

“Everyone to bed!!” you yell, a collective groan sounding as the kids begrudgingly press up from where they’re seated around the fire. The sun has set, and per the rules—all kids are to be in their cabins and ready for bed at 10pm.

“No complaining! Don’t forget to take your s’mores plates with you—nature doesn’t like when we litter!”

A few kids send you nasty looks, clearly not enjoying being bossed around and told to go to bed—but for all intents and purposes the counselors are pretty much their substitute parents for the week, so they’ll just have to get used to it.

“C’mon, hurry up,” another voice pipes up, deep, and tired. You look over to find another counselor on the other end of the fire, ushering kids off their asses and towards the cabins a little ways back. He looks less than thrilled to be here—like Satan had possessed him and forced him to sign the job contract against his will.

He’s short, but not that short, with black hair curling at the ends thanks to the humidity, and suddenly you remember just how much you’d been wanting to take a shower since you’d stepped foot outside this morning. The humidity makes it feel like the air is sticking to your skin.

“Y/N, Yoongi, you guys are on fire duty tonight,” one of the head counselors speaks up, and since you’re farther down the totem poll, you nod. No use arguing it—even if you want to get the fuck out of this mosquito ridden pit of hell and into the safety of the cabins.

Slowly, the kids stagger across the hilly field to the lodging. You watch them go, wondering how you’re going to survive another 4 weeks (and 4 new batches of 50 kids) at this job.

Your only consolation is the fact that at the end of this…you’ll have made bank. And college will not pay for itself.

“Ugh,” you grunt, plopping down onto one of the logs used as seating. Your eyes turn upward, staring at the male across the circle from you—his t-shirt and dark jeans illuminated by the orange light of the fire. And his slightly sunburnt face is lit up too—but not by the light of the fire, but by the HD resolution of his phone screen.

“Wow, bending the rules, huh?” you comment, hoping your words come off joking enough. Kids and counselors aren’t supposed to use their phones on the camp grounds because “why come into nature only to look at your phone screen for a week”?

You’re not sure what to expect in response to your jab—because you really haven’t gotten a chance to talk to Yoongi all week. You’d seen him—here and there. Mostly sticking to the shade and hanging out with the kids who obviously didn’t want to be here either. He seems quiet and reclusive, but you’ve been too busy wrangling children to notice anything beside the fact that he’s cute, if you’re being quite honest.

“Listen, I gotta keep myself sane somehow,” he mumbles in response after a second, and you find yourself laughing, knowing exactly how he feels.

“You get suckered into this job too?”

He sighs loudly, arm dropping to his side and head lolling back to look up at the stars. Or, glare at the stars, really.

“I hate kids so much, but I needed a summer job that would pay the bills and this is it. So now I’m stuck here for a whole month, with children. Who I hate. Fuck my life.”
