Don’t ask if its a fetish store, don’t ask if its a fetish store.

“So… what kind of store is this exactly? A uniform one at least?”

✿— “You’re not too far off the mark! It’s more of a fantasy shop, though we do primarily work making costumes, outfits, and uniforms--- that sorta thing! Why? You looking for a cute little outfit for that special someone~?”

Technicallyit Isa Leg, But Dont Worry Theyre Not Alive! She Offered A Smile Before Remembering That

✿— “Technically it is a leg, but don’t worry they’re not alive!” She offered a smile before remembering that she should probably clarify. “---I mean to say it’s an old mannequin from the shop. The leg broke off so I threw it away once we got a new one!”

Mine’s quiet understanding both reminded him of how dear she was and underscored how terrible he was by comparison. It was ever about him, wasn’t it? When he was in a good mood, he commanded the spotlight and demanded attention - when his mood was foul, he was poisonous as the serpent whose curse he bore. How she could tolerate him was a mystery.

These thoughts did little to encourage him, but it did motivate him to get to work as well. He couldn’t leave it all to Mine - capable as she was, he had hired her as an assistant not a manager. Expecting her to do all the work simply because his mood was low was unacceptable.

Eventually, a few hours passed and he set his work down, seeking her out in the small shop and taking her work lightly from her hands. “I think it’s time we went out for lunch, don’t you?” Even his apologies were selfish, but if he did anything less, she’d be left to wonder just what had happened - and it was not something he dared to discuss.

✿— Mine knew that there were things that Ayame could not and would not tell her, but that didn’t mean she still couldn’t offer her support to the other. She had a feeling that he underestimated just how much he meant to her--- how much he had done to add stability to her already chaotic life. The hectic day-to-day life she had now made the past pale in comparison and she very much enjoyed every second of it; even times like these.

A steady gaze kept watch over the needle and thread in her hand, nimble fingers working on the latest order. The holidays were always so very busy for them, which made the time go by faster. Part of her wondered if Ayame had reached out to his brother yet. The lack of her own family just made her want to push the brothers together more, to remind them that they could fix the bond that had been broken-- to not take things for granted.

Her brow furrowed as she silently worked on the hemming of the dress, still very much lost in her thoughts. She had barely noticed the other until she felt him take the fabric from her hands, making her pause briefly before looking up. “I’d like that very much actually... where shall we go?”
