"Noo, Jungkook now it looks all wonky!" you whine, adjusting one of the cut out cookies on the baking tray, fixing it's head. "You need to be gentle." you pout, making sure they're all appropriately spaced so they don't get stuck together later on when they bake.

"I am gentle, what are you talking about?" He laughs, trying to snatch another taste of the sugary sprinkles next to you- but you're faster, smacking his hand off, the sound of another slap echoing in the kitchen, making you gasp and turn to look at him, scandalized.

He'd just slapped your butt. Full palm, consciously aimed.

"I'm gonna have to chase you out the kitchen if you can't behave, mister!" you threaten, pointing a finger at his chest. "You keep eating the dough, or the decoration, or you mutilate the poor gingerbread men!" you scold, while he just stares you down with a smirk on his face, thoroughly amused.

"May I remind you that this is my kitchen?" he asks, arms caging you in as they lean against the kitchen counter behind you, your back pressed into it. "I can do whatever I want in here." he lowly tells you, but you don't back down, instead crossing your arms.

"Well looks like I'll have to bake in my kitchen back home next time then." you talk back.

"But that means you'd leave me all alone again." he playfully acts, showing you his best display of puppydog eyes he can, leaning closer.

"You're a big boy, you can be on your own for a day." you tease back, making his expression change. "I'd even bring you the cookies when I come back." you say, when he presses himself into your front.

"but what if I want a treat right now?" he purrs against your neck.

"then you'll have to wait until the-" you start, getting caught off guard when his leg pushes itself in between your legs, putting pressure on your core.

"but I don't want to wait." he denies. "I want it now." he almost threatens, before he kisses right beneath your ear, making you officially cave in.

Awfully glad that the cookies were never put in the oven- because they would've surely burned before he finally got done with you.

Jungkook does what he wants, whenever he wants to. He's his own master, and doesn't need anybody. Except you. And sometimes, he needs a little reminder of that.

Jungkook's not an easy guy.

You've learned that by now- and you've come to love those parts of him as well. He's a bit spoiled, sure- and a whole brat as well, completely oblivious it seemed to your daily tries of avoiding any confrontation with the neighbours hybrid Seokjin- the rat as Jungkook likes to call the prized silver labrador hybrid. Seokjin himself doesn't take too kindly to the nickname- easily riled up by just the mere sight of Jungkooks cocky smirk whenever he watches Namjoon go on a walk with him. Jungkook likes his spot close to the main windows. There's a soft carpet and several pillows- and during winter, you never forget to put a nice heavy blanket there as well, in case he wants to nap.

He'd never say it, but he appreciates it a lot.

In general, Jungkook isn't a very romantic person- at least not outright so. He certainly has his moments; caring for you when you're sick (although he makes sure you know that you'll have to pay him back twice as hard if he catches whatever you got), or helping you around the house (While being very openly upset about it). You've just grown to take every bit of affection he gives you at any time- every cuddle and every kiss whenever he likes to give them. Sometimes he's very over the top- other times, he enjoys picking on you a lot more.

Sometimes however, he needs to be reminded that he can't play around like he can't ever hurt you.

So after a pretty hefty fight, you've decided to teach the Catboy a lesson for once- having booked a hotel a few hours away to give him the space he so craved (his exact words.)- hopefully showing him that he shouldn't take you for granted. "Namjoon is gonna check on you every day. Tell him if you need anything." You shortly say, not looking at Jungkook, who's standing against the entrance of the bedroom door with his arms crossed and shoulder leaned against the side of the doorway- very clearly upset about the situation.

"So you're just gonna leave like that?" He scoffs. "What if I get sick? Hurt myself? It'll be on you." He warns, as if that could somehow make the situation turn around like that. You know what he's doing- he's trying to guilt-trip you into staying because he can't just outright ask you to. You would stay instantly if he just said it- but things like that were just reasons you couldn't let it all continue like this. He was starting to become too selfish- uncaring of your own emotions in this. And he wanted this relationship as well- if he loved you like he said he did, he would be able to see his own flaws and maybe work on them.

He needed to realize what he's doing.

"Namjoon will take care of you, like I said." You simply explain, shrugging as you close your small suitcase, before lifting it off the bed and checking your watch for the time. "And we both know you're very much capable of calling an ambulance in case of an emergency kook. Or do you need personnel for that as well now?" You say, making sure to use the same language he did whenever he talked to you.

And judging by the way his ears pin back in shame at the sound of those words now directed at him for a change, his tail lowering down a good amount, it seemed to hit him at least a little.

You say your short goodbye to him- kissing his lips shortly, just a peck- and it definetely bothers him a lot, as he watches your car leave the driveway. Only once you've dissapeared out of his sight for a good amount of time- thirty minutes to be exact- does he realize you're serious. You've just left him alone, by himself, for the next few days.

Did he really push you too far?

He scoffs as he walks upstairs in your shared bedroom, angrily pushing your blanket and pillows down, as if he was a kitten throwing a temper tantrum. He was mad, majorly upset, and he didn't even know why or at whom exactly. Was it at himself? Was it at you? It only took a few moments of him sitting on the now chaotic bed to reach out, tail high to keep balance, as he grabbed one of your main pillows, shamefully putting it back on the bed before he grabs your blanket too, bunching it up in his arms before he huffs with them in his arms. He didn't feel lonely, or betrayed, or sad about you leaving him, absolutely not.

(Spoiler: he absolutely did. And it pissed him off, as he started crying.)

Waking up by himself the next day proved to be highly upsetting.

He'd fallen asleep on the sofa downstairs in his clothes, waiting for you to maybe change your mind and come back. He'd really thought that alright, you spooked him, great laugh, but then it got later, and later, and later- and then a message, informing him together with a small image made from your hotel balcony that you've arrived, and that he should take care. He'd scoffed at it, throwing his phone onto the table before angrily falling asleep.

Now, after Namjoon had checked up on him just like you'd told him he would, he's yet again in your bedroom, on the bed, angrily pawing at the sheets and pillows. It’s not like he needs you or anything, it’s just his hormones going nuts inside his body that are making him like this. Sure, he likes you, even loves you, and would absolutely love to have you under his claws, while his cock would be spilling his cum inside you, filling you up until you’d cry-

“Fuck-!” His control was slowly drifting off, packing its bags to go on a vacation he definitely did not agree to, as he pitifully rubbed himself against the sheets on your shared bed. It wasn’t enough, and he knew it could never be enough; the only thing that could help him was you.

But fuck, you were mad, and god knows what would happen if he were to call you right now after you’d specifically told him to give you some time to think. What if he fucked things up to no return? What if you didn't return? What if you realized, while being free of him as a responsibility for a few days, that you didn't want him anymore? He didn't want to go back to the shelter, not anymore. He didn't want to be apart from you-

And only then does it click, with this specific thought. He's not upset you've left, hell, he can totally understand your reaction and why you reacted like this. He's upset because you're not here, because he's been so mean to you that he's pushed you over the edge it seemed. He's upset at himself for being so stupid and dumb and for practically bullying you instead of loving you. You deserved to hear that he loves you every day, you deserved to be affectionate and romantic with, and he deserved the punishment he's receiving by tenfold.

He deserved this.

The next day, Namjoon is surprised to see him still up and about when he knocks at the door to check up on the cat.

The floor shines- freshly cleaned, while the sink still runs water, probably because he was doing the dishes. "What?" Jungkook's familiar biting tone asks, clearly as impatient as ever, before he pins his ears back, closing the door. "I'm fine, n' busy, thanks." Is all Namjoon gets before he's locked out again.

Inside, Jungkook continues to scrub the dishes, doing some of the chores himself for once. You'll be coming back in no time if he shows you he's doing something good for once. He's already sent you a picture of the cleaned bedroom- he's tidied up the entire room, staying away from washing the sheets though, because he doesn't really know which of all those fabric softeners you always use, their scent too strong for him to properly distinguish. You didn't answer yet, but he knows you've seen it. You'll come back. He's sure of it.

You have to.

"Jungkook I was done for three days-" You argue, as he clings onto you. You didnt even manage to take off your coat yet- he's practically tackled you down the minute he's noticed your return earlier tonight, holding you his personal prisoner inside the bedroom, arms and legs caging you to him with no chance of escape. "Don't tell me you've missed me." You snort amusedly, only joking- but he doesn't seem too amused as he rubs his chin over the top of your head posessively.

"Of course I missed you." He grumbles out, almost as if offended. "I'm upset you'd even think for a second I didn't." He says, and you're surprised of him being so open with his thoughts. Maybe you've overdone it? You didn't mean to upset him so greatly that he'd become out of character.

"Kookie-" You start, but he shakes his head, face serious as he moves around, now ontop of you as he buries his head into the crook of your neck.

"No, I.." He starts, unsure what to say really. "I'm sorry." He finally says, still resting his body on top of yours. "I didn't notice how mean I was. I promise you; I'll be more.. like uhm.. I'll be more of an actual partner to you from now on.." He explains, and you run a hand over his back as you notice him instantly start to purr.

"You don't need to entirely change, Jungkook." You say calmly. "But some things you've said did upset me. You need to learn limits." You say, and he nods, eagerly so.

"I will." He says. "I promise."

While still majorly amused by getting onto your nerves, Jungkook has somehow become very.. docile.

He helps around the house without much resistance by now- still eagerly though playfully bullying Seokjin across the street whenever he gets the chance to, but he also doesn't seem to mind openly giving you affection anymore. It helps him to show that you're his, he'd explained, as if he only now realized.

He's also a lot more gentle when it comes to being with you in general.

He holds you closer these days, kisses you more, and has grown especially affectionate in the bedroom with you. Like now, as he holds you tightly, visibly in no hurry to bring you both over the edge as he lets your hand run over the base of his tail, his exhales a bit choked as he bites your skin, licking over the spot as if to apologize for the mark he's left. Though he's not- he'll never apologize for showing off your relationship.

He's still the same impatient lover, but he's more gentle with it- there's more open affection as he holds you, looks at you, touches you. He's more raw, more open, and it makes you feel incredibly weightless underneath his eager body, constantly shifting to adjust, as if he can't quite get it right.
