ep 2 / chapter 9

part one

"LISTEN CLARISSE, IM SORRY" y/n says while getting scolded by the brunette, "sorry doesn't fix what we lost" she shouts back. "its a game! you'll get over it!" y/n yells stomping away, a few of the other campers take notice of the 2 arguing, its not uncommon for them to be fighting, in fact their toe to toe almost every day.

"dont walk away from me, y/n!" Clarisse follows the h/c to her cabin, "i thought we were done, you yelled at me for fucking up again, i walk away, done." she rolls her eyes and turns around. " you need to either back off, or learn to make your powers useful" Clarisse points at her chest.

they were friends, at least they used to be, before Clarisse became a power obsessed manic. they met when they were 3 before they knew they were demi-gods.

cabin 10 was currently empty, other than the two standing in between her bunk and a vanity. "what happened to you, you were never like this before" y/n mentions, "people change, it's called puberty." Clarisse snaps back. y/n sighs sitting down on her pink sheets, "just get out" she says. the brunette doesn't say anything instead she walks out passing Percy, who was about to walk in the cabin.

"um... hey" y/n turns around to see the blonde standing at the door, "newbie, what do i owe the pleasure?" she smiles at him and he steps in, "i have a question." she nods.

"earlier, during capture the flag, you told me to go get you my own flag for you, and i did, what happened?" he asks, she smiles "charm-speak." she says proudly, "one of the awesome powers i get from my mother." Percy nods "will i get a power from my dad?" he takes a few steps closer. y/n nods "cool.." the room stays silent for a while. "what was Clarisse doing here?" he looks at her.

"yelling, per-usual" she shrugs, "don't worry about it" she stands up and walks over to Percy.

"whats on your mind?" she says. "your very pretty" he smiles before widening his eyes "i didn't mean to say that!" she laughs "charm-speak" she winks before running out of the cabin to find her siblings

time skip !

it was now night time and the camp was having a party to celebrate the blue team winning capture the flag again.

"y/n!" she turns her head down to the person yelling her name, it was Kayla, one of the Apollo kids "the new kid is looking for you!!" she yells again, "why?" she stares at the ginger. "he says he wants to show you something!! "y/n sighs "tell him i'm in a tree by the pond!" she smiles at Kayla as she runs off to go tell Percy. she lays her head against the tree.

Percy walks over to the tree "hey!" she stares at him, "hello Percy" she bows her head sarcastically "why are you up there?" he asks. she smiles widely "its peaceful, you should join me." he thinks for a second then starts climbing. "Kayla said you had something to show me" she looks at him "i lied, i just wanted to see you again" he grunts holding on to a sturdy branch and pulling himself up.

"why?" she asks, "we're friends now aren't we?" she smiles sadly, she hasn't really had a good friend since Clarisse, "yeah, of course we are' he finally sits on the branch next to her, "i got assigned a quest" Percy says, "seriously? congrats Percy!" she hits his shoulder while he smiles, "Chiron said, i could bring 2 people with me, i was thinking about taking you" he looks at her for any kind of reaction, but it wasn't the reaction he expected. her smile turned into a frown and her shoulders dropped. "no, i can't go with you" his eyebrows furrowed "why not?" she shook her head "i cant help you" she laughs sadly. "take Annabeth, shes strong, and independent. and she'll be happy to go on a quest for once." Percy looks at the water, "i wont see you for a while" he says. he looks at her and sees her hand with four of her fingers curled in and her pinky sticking out.

"then promise me you'll come back"

he wraps his pinky around hers, "i promise"

they smile at each other

APHRODITE KIDS WERE known for being useless during capture the flag, in Percy's words "they just look at themselves in the creek and gossip". He wasn't wrong, most of them did, but its only because they love their mother and want to appreciate what she has given them.

but, then again not all of them are like that, some of them use the powers that Aphrodite has. y/n for example, they actually try to get the flag, it should be fairly simple for her, but the thing is... her charm-speak wears off after 10 minutes. its not strong at all.

y/n walked through the lush forest wearing her armor and sword, red of course, as she moved her feet forward, she looked at the new kid laying in the log as Clarisse snuck up on him, y/n shook her head shooing her away mouthing "I have an idea" .

Clarisse didn't trust her, because she was an Aphrodite kid whose only mastered skill is to sit there and look pretty, but she rolled her eyes and decided she had better things to do, so she walked away, leaving her to do her thing.

"Hey, you're the new kid, right?" he shot up and reached for his sword. "woah hey, I'm no harm, not really a thing I can do" he kept his guard up "how do i know that" he said, she shrugs "trust me.",,

Suddenly, he felt the need to believe her and drop his sword, so he did without a second thought. "That's more like it" she smirked at him. He sat down on the log again and she sat next to him.

"sooo... how's your first week?" she asked awkwardly "how was your first week?" he asked sarcastically, rolling his eyes. "okay then... anything i can do to make it better?" she looked at him, and he looked at her thinking. "you could get Annabeth to lay off", y/n laughs " Annabeth means well, she's trying to leave camp, and get a quest, honestly i wish i could too but i have no purpose out there". Percy looks at her weird "why not?" she smiles "I'm a year-round" he nods at her "y'know what'd make me feel better? if you'd go get the flag for us" she crosses her legs pouting at him. then he gets the feeling again, the need to do it, to go get her his flag.

as stupid as he felt he did it, he got up and walked towards where the flag was. "Now i just hope he can get back in under 10 minutes..." y/n mumbles.

When he gets to the flag, the guard looks at him funky, "what are you doing" and he snaps out of it. "i... don't know" he looks around "did you talk to y/n?" they ask, "who?" he raises an eyebrow, the kid rolls his eyes ``the really pretty girl who has h/c hair and e/c eyes, shes in cabin 10, the Aphrodite cabin, her necklace says it." he scoffs in a 'duh' tone.

even though Percy couldn't recall seeing her necklace, he could remember that she was very pretty, and did have h/c and e/c so he just nodded his head, and the guard sighed, "well stay away from her, her charm-speak isn't very strong and only last like 5 minutes"

"ITS 10 MINUTES!!!" They heard a booming voice from inside the forest. They all looked over to the sound to see the girl holding her hand over her mouth, as she started to run in a different direction.

"should i chase her?" Percy asked, the guard shrugs, "if you wanna, we don't really need you here" Percy nods and runs in the same direction.

She ran towards the lake and disappeared, as Percy was looking around, he saw Clarisse walking towards him, he looked the other way, but no luck he was trapped.

time skip, after the fight (ง ͠° ͟ل͜ ͡°)ง

The blue team comes running towards the lake yelling and cheering, they got the flag. Percy gets on his feet, and looks over to them. Annabeth takes off the cap her mother gave her and stands next to him, "were you there the whole time?" Percy asks annoyed, Annabeth shrugs "..yes" Percy blinks at her, you were there the whole time and didn't help me?" he looks at her, his eyebrows furrowed, "yes" she says "why?", doesn't answer but she helps him up.

she stares at him for a sec, he couldn't read her expression but he knew that she was thinking of something. "Listen Percy..." she looks down then looks in his eyes again "i'm sorry" she whispers before pushing him back into the lake behind him. Percy knots his eyebrows together "what is wrong with you?" he yells standing up.

but he feels better, he feels more energized, like he could run around the whole world and not break a sweat. "Percy..." the scratch on his cheek suddenly stops hurting, as he pulls his hand up he feels that his cheek is smooth again, no scratch.

He looks at Annabeth with confusion, as he notices a light emitting from above him and the whole camp is dead silent. He looks up and sees a trident, Poseidon's symbol.

Its very dangerous working as an innkeeper, but you had nothing to worry about,

“Hello mr. Do you think I could get a room? Just for one night.” a shaggy looking man walks through your doors. He has black hair that obviously hasn't been combed in days, and a scarf wrapped around his mouth so you cant see his whole face. You nod at him, grabbing a key from your wall and handing it to him.

“Thanks, how much?” He pulls out a torn up coin pouch. “Don’t worry about it, unless you're wanted.” he looks at you, ‘i don't think he got it…’ “im joking. Go on up” he looks at you very surprised, before grabbing the key off your desk and walking up the stairs. 

‘What an odd guy’ Aizawa thinks, the inn's halls are empty, the only sound in them is his feet hitting the ground. The key says ‘room 104’. 

He passed it? The door closest to him says ‘room 106’ so two doors the other way, so he turns.

‘Room 103’ …what? So if it's not next to 103, where is it?

‘Maybe ill go ask the keeper.’ he returns downstairs and sees the boy talking to another person, he's laughing with her, making jokes.

‘Oh no…not her…’ Aizawa quickly turns around, but he's too late, she's seen him.

“Oh my gosh! Shouta, is that you??” Emi, aka the singer Ms. Joke runs up to him. “Nope not him, but you really shouldn't call him by his first name, he doesn't like that” he turns his face away from the girl next to him. Emi laughs loudly before the innkeeper speaks up “you too know each other?” he asks from his desk “of course!! Shouta is one of my closest friends, besides you!”

Emi forcefully turns Aizawa around and his scarf falls off his face. “Hey I know you, you’re wanted by the palace guards.” you point out, his face goes pale. “Uh, you must have the wrong person…?” Aizawa pulls his scarf back over his nose, “don't worry i wont turn you in no matter how big the bounty!!” the innkeeper laughs.

Aizawa stands there, emis arm wrapped around his neck, this handsome guy in front of him who wasn't gonna turn him in?

“I'll repay you somehow.” he lets the scarf fall again.

“Dont worry about it”

“Ooooo flirting” Emi says and you laugh

“My names y/n by the way, nice to meet you” he puts out a hand waiting for Aizawa to put his hand out. 

He puts his left hand out and suddenly remembers why he came down there 

“Oh! I got lost” he says, showing the room 104 key.

 ”Really, how?” he tilts his head, grabbing the key and looking at it. “Oh! That's why, follow me.” 

They both walk up stairs “when this place was made, they made two 103 rooms” he points to the room across from them “so this one is the hidden 104 room” he unlocks the doors and holds it for him, “enjoy your stay, Aizawa.” The shaggy man walks into the room and looks around. 

The room was nice, the walls were made out of wood, and there was a bay window with knitted pillows on it. The lamps on the walls gave a nice warm color to the room. 

And the bed looked heavenly.

The sheets were washed and wrinkled, they smelt like coconuts.

“If you need anything,” Aizawa turns around, and the innkeeper continues “don't be afraid to ask” he nods and the man leaves the room.

”HEY DARRY, do you know where my DX shirt is?” Sodapop yells trying to wrap a towel around his waist as his two coworkers walk over to the bath room door.

You whistle teasingly as his towel starts to fall down again, Sodapop looks at you then to Steve “your supposed too wear pants too” he says smiling wiping cake off his mouth. “My pants too?” He shouts again toward his older brother. “Y’Know, Steve instead of getting on him for not wearing pants you should look for you own shirt” you smile at him looking at his chest

“But that’s why the DX gets business, you’re telling me you don’t show a little cleavage when you work the register?” He says leaning off the wall. Walking over to the door “course I do, but you don’t work the register today, Sodapop does.”

“Whatever, last one to the car rides in the trunk!” He says as him and soda start running.
