The once pristine garden lies in ruin. Stones and statues disappear under fine pallid shrouds of snow, broken in half or buckling under the age of time. Dead ivy and more dried up dead carcasses of plants spread around, fallen soldiers, not removed from trenches. Pathways long gone, nothing but the snow fills the crevices of this forlorn piece of decadence. Beside the burrowed side of an old koi pond, the tall figure stands out. Everything else coats in white, and the tall figure spreads in the white like blood dripping from a wound. The ebon cloak flattens against the wind bracing, fluttering up to reveal the sheer red underside of the material, a strangely smooth and shining fabric, even from up by the window. The hair is a giveaway for a family resemblance, but the stature and the black lines raking like coal etchings over his cheeks and brow are the true dead giveaway. Sukuna doesn’t look up to where Megumi is standing, and why indeed would he? There is nothing to give his position away. He simply peers out one of the windows. And he seems exceptionally focused on the garden premise as he moves around now, shoes getting stuck in the avalanche of mountain winter. He leaves nothing but a visible trail of footsteps.
