Prologue 

“Raph, I can go on my own! I’m not a little kid anymore!”

Mikey whined to his older brother, who crossed his arms with a frown.

“No Mikey. Remember what happened last time you went on a mission by yourself?”

“Yeah- but that was one time! And this isn’t even a mission, it’s a patrol.”

Mikey corrected his brother quickly.

“Besides, I totally had it last time!”

Raph raised an eyebrow.

“Really?”

“Yes really! Why don’t you trust me?”

Mikey huffed, turning around with crossed arms. There was a long silence, before Raph let out a big sigh.

“Fine. But if anything goes wrong-“

“Call you?”

Mikey finished the older turtles sentence as she turned his head to face him.

“I- yes…“

Mikey smiled, unwrapping his arms and fully turning around to his older brother.

“I won’t be long, I promise.”

Raph frowned.

“Just… be safe.”

And with that, Mikey left, heading out into the bustle of New York for a patrol with a joyful bounce in his step.

Authors note: Sorry if this didn’t make sense, or was short. It’s late when I’m writing this, so is part of chapter 1 I believe. This fic has been on my to do list for months now, so I thought now would be the perfect time to curate it. And I’m sorry for not posting my usual HTF content as of recent, Rise has taken over my hyperfixations for the moment but I predict HTF will come back soon. Flippy/Fliqpy x injured SO [warning for injury, obvi, and slight swearing]

🧸Okay, when you knocked at like 11 in the night this poor bear did not think he’d see you on his doorstep bleeding out

🧸he’s stunned for a few milliseconds, before quickly using his jacket thing to slow the bleeding as he brings you inside.

🧸the amount of times you almost passed out.

🧸like Jesus talk about giving Flip a heart attack! 

🧸though it’s not your fault you didn’t know that pulling the pole jammed in your abdomen would cause it to bleed more!

🧸your just lucky you where so close to Flips house… and that he knows first aid.

🧸you pass out halfway through first aid.

🧸when you wake up after several hours, you find yourself in the green bears bed. Awe, how sweet!

🧸what’s even more sweet is that he stayed up all night to change your bandages and make sure you didn’t die!

🧸when Flippy saw you waking up, he almost burst into tears, talking about how he wasn’t sure if you’d make it, and to never scare him like that again.

🧸thoooouuuuggghhhhh considering this is Happy Tree Town we’re talking about… it’s toats gonna happen again-

🔪Fliqpy hadnt intended for you to get hurt. Heck, he didn’t even know you were there!

🔪Fliq was on one of his murderous rampages, and had ended up throwing a grenade. 

🔪you had gotten hit with some of the debris trying to make sure one of your friends didn’t die.

🔪Fliqpy doesn’t even bother to finish off who he’s currently murdering before he rushes to you.

🔪a surprising sight to see from him.

🔪”god damnit [name]”

🔪as soon as he gets the bleeding to stop, he’s taking you away from that place, preferably to his house where he had the proper medical supplies.

🔪”ow! Fliq, could you be more gentle?”

🔪”shush! I’m *trying* to disinfect this! Do you want to get infected!?”

🔪”… no…”

🔪he was very grumpy with you afterwards, but also a bit mad at himself for being one of the primary reasons you got hurt in the first place.

🔪hey, at least he cares? Can’t say that for most people in Happy Tree Town.
