Where is everyone watching Queer as Folk ?
QUEER AS FOLK, SEASON 1: MY THOUGHTS
IDK who’ll read this, but in honor of finally finishing the first season of Queer as Folk, I’ve decided to give thoughts. (All good, I promise.)
For a first season of a show, this one was pretty good. The cast really meshes well with each other and has good chemistry.
Gale Harold and Randy Harrison… I couldn’t imagine two people playing Brian and Justin better. Their chemistry is perfection, and they make me root for the characters’ relationship.
Speaking of Justin, what can I say? I love him with all my heart! Like… I really do. His character, so far, is really dynamic. His friendship with Daphne is literally everything, and I’m itching to see more of them together. (Chris Hobbs, when I fucking catch you…)
Brian as a character really grew on me. When I first started watching the series, I found him annoying. But as the series progressed, he really softened my heart and made me sympathetic to his struggles.
I find the cinematography of the show to be very captivating. It really immerses me.
I like Ted and Emmett’s friendship and the way they look out for one another. Makes me feel like there’s something more to their relationship. 🤔
I like Lindsay and Mel’s relationship! IDK, I just find them cute.
This is all the thoughts I have for now, but I’m pretty sure I’ll add on to this when I feel like it. Now… onwards to season 2!

he wasn’t the one having to fear for his life every single day with all these guards protecting him. the ones having to fear for their lives every single day are trans, queer and POC — especially now that what happened today will most certainly make them even more of a target than they already were. sadly but unsurprisingly, I’ve already seen the influx of hatred towards queer, trans and POC as a result of this incident. the fact it will now also almost certainly guarantee him presidency is deeply terrifying.
I’m praying for everybody’s safety, especially queer, trans and POC. take care of yourselves and please stay safe
