happy wednesday, besties! i actually forgot that i said i would do a wip wednesday every week jsdhkfs but alas! here i am right at the end of the day (for me at least)

for this week's wip, i present you with a snippet from the next installment of keep singing this lie - featuring a very sweaty and sexy vocal line

this is HEAVILY unedited and will probs go through LOTS of changes before the final draft, but i hope you enjoy it for what it is

Jimin flashes Jungkook a grin. 

“Hmm, I don’t know, are you getting tired? I feel pumped.” 

“It’s getting kinda hot in here, isn’t it? What do you guys think?” 

“Look at us. We’re all comfortable, but someone else doesn’t look too good, huh?” 

“V?” 

Every female voice in the venue erupts as Taehyung rises from his seat at the drums, his iconic lopsided grin flashing pearly white teeth that gleam in the stage lighting, and really that’s all they need. 

Taehyung flips his drumsticks around long elegant fingers a few times as he banters with Jimin about taking a break. It’s all one giant skit their more loyal fans are familiar with. It’s part of their intermission - to get some water and keep the crowd engaged while the bandmates take a breather. 

“I could probably take a break, yeah?” 

Jungkook watches as Taehyung steps from behind the drumset and stands front and center on stage. Usually, either Seokjin or Jimin will start strumming some sensual little tune, perhaps a riff from one of their songs. Today it’s Jimin because he’s in a flirtatious mood and can’t help but try to make Taehyung squirm.

The flash of teeth and his grey eyes make him look predatory as he sheds his leather jacket. His t-shirt clings to his body like a second skin. It shouldn’t be possible for someone to look so good absolutely drenched in sweat, but Taehyung manages to. He’s so sweaty Jungkook can see the darkness of his nipples through the white cotton. 

He tosses the jacket to Seokjin, much to the frustration of fans who wished to take it home for themselves. 

He immediately drops his hands down to his belt as he kicks off his shoes. It’s rather ridiculous, really. But the girls go wild, and the guys get a kick out of watching someone do something on stage that they’d never have the balls to do. 

And then Taehyung steps out of his jeans. Like always, his briefs are black. They’re tight, leaving nothing to the imagination. 

Fans who have never seen the skit before tend to lose their minds over the tattoo Taehyung reveals as he steps out of his pants. It’s a tiger, large and intimidating, as it stalks down the length of his thigh. 

It’s hot. Taehyung is hot. Jungkook couldn’t deny it, even if he wanted to. 

Sure, the girls swoon over Jungkook. But for Taehyung? They go feral. 

Seokjin hands him the bottle of Hennessy, which he takes a large swig of. 

Some of the girls closest to the stage reach up to grab at Taehyung’s thighs, a few of them throwing caution to the wind and actually palming his cock through his briefs. It doesn’t faze him. If anything, it fuels him. He takes another drink of the golden alcohol, and lets some of it dribble down his face. 

Jungkook watches the liquor flow from his neck to his collarbones, then trickle down his chest and get absorbed into the band of his briefs. 

Once his eyes reach Taehyung’s Adonis belt, Jungkook finally looks away and tries to school his face. By the mischief of Jimin’s grin, he’s sure the scowl is there anyway. 

This is the part Jungkook hates. He hates seeing Taehyung get like this, like some kind of larger-than-life caricature of himself. 

Jungkook knows drummers don’t get as much attention or camera time because they’re always in the back - even though Taehyung provides vocals for a large chunk of their songs. Yes, he wants Taehyung to feel just as adored as the rest of the band. 

But Taehyung turns greedy, Jungkook thinks as he watches his bandmate grab a girl to guide her palm up his crotch. Jungkook thinks Taehyung turns into someone that isn’t him.
