1.What made you ship it?

What made me think about it, was the moment in my replay of the og where Tifa's down/worried and Barret is worried about that.

But what finally really made me ship it was the Remake, Barret comforting Tifa when the plate fell when I was begging someone, even Cloud, to comfort her. 👌 Then reading case of tifa again and noticing how Tifa learns to make drinks specifically with Barret's old home place's alcohol and Tifa introduces Marlene as her daughter, so she's their daughter.

2.What are your favorite things about the ship?

How they actually communicate their thoughts and feelings, and manage to comfort each other, they feel equal. (*cough* Unlike Cloud and Tifa *cough*)

3.Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I don't know, possibly the whole ship is unpopular opinion, but I really think Barret and Tifa make a more wholesome relationship than cloti.

I read the last part of Tifa's story from the traces of two past and have some thoughts~ part 2

Awwww, Barret trying to make Tifa feel better/understand it was either them getting killed or shinra grunts, then promise not to tell Marlene ;~;

..Barret looks cute?

I love they make a point that Tifa could have left, but stick with Barret when others left and specifically "because, you know, we had a connection." X)

What is with Square writing about Tifa's underwear?! ...But it's left ambiguous is Barret nervous/embarrassed seeing that, or just nervous of money missing, that saves the little moment.

It’s funny how a stupid CBR article titled 10 Worst Things about Orihime, insinuates that Orihime was dense about Uryu’s crush on her. Has it ever occurred to the person that Orihime just wasn’t attracted to Uryu? The only person she had romantic feelings for was Ichigo. I don’t understand why people keep pushing her on Uryu when clearly she’s not interested. Yes she’s nice to him, she’s nice to everybody but Ichigo was the only guy she had romantic interest in. She only saw Uryu and Chad as friends. 

Another thing I didn’t like about the article is they listed that she stole Ichigo from Rukia. Ichigo and Rukia were nothing more than friends. Therefore, Orihime did not steal Ichigo. Maybe in your delusional IR obsessed mind she did but in reality Ichigo fell in love with Orihime. What was Orihime supposed to do? Hand Ichigo, the man that she always loved, over to Rukia? You guys are delusional! Whoever wrote that article is a bitter nutcase!

Ngl kind of sick of writers and shippers alike using obliviousness as an excuse for piss-poor relationship writing.

Not being knowing a fact doesn’t stop it from being true and having an effect on your life. Paraphrased:

A character who isn’t aware of their own feelings towards someone should not act the exact same way they would if those feelings didn’t exist.

Even if a person is oblivious to being in love they still show signs of, you know, being in love. That usually includes: thinking about their crush more than they think about other people, seeking physical contact with them, feeling warm and fuzzy around that person, deriving strength and inspiration from them, etc etc etc.

Obviously not all of these signs indicate romantic interest and not all romantic interest looks like this, but there should be something between the characters that regular people who don’t wear shipping goggles could pick up on.

Writing a relationship that is painfully, embarassingly one-sided and then going “Oh, they were in love all along! The Clearly Disinterested Character is just a tsundere/incredibly confused!” is a lazy cop-out.

(Especially if the show suddenly becomes all about romance, throwing its previous themes out of the window.)
