I think one thing that most people don't understand is that Hua Cheng doesn't hate everyone equally.

He clearly hates Mu Qing way more then Feng Xin and it's not just because he left Xie Lian.

It's because he interfered in HC's promotion in the army, because he didn't stand up to XL when the other gods bullied him and also because he left XL alone afterwards, which attracted the White Calamity and yk...

He also hates Feng Xin, but I believe it's not much because he left him, but more related to jealousy and the fact that he didn't believe in XL as much as HC did, so he sees Feng Xin as a false believer.

Not that I think that MQ and FX deserved the amount of hate they got from HC (personally, I like both characters very much), but people tend to oversimplified or even downplay the way that these two treated XL (specially, when it comes to Mu Qing fans).

Some days I wake up and think about if Hua Cheng hadn’t come back. And that Xie Lian had just been left waiting.

Because that’s what MXTX protagonist do, they wait, like loyal dogs. They’ll wait until the end of time, until weeds have grown up their leg and their stories and actions have been forgotten.

I want to see that unwavering devotion carried out hopelessly until eventually he rots always because a god with no believers is no god at all.

Other days I wake up and think about HuaLian fucking nasty in Xie Lians broken down shack of a shrine.
