(Second Person Point of View)

“Yukiya?” You whine from your position on the couch.

“Yes?” He keeps his eyes on his laptop screen.

“Yukiya!” You didn’t exactly want anything. Well, except attention if that counts.

“What?” He finally looks at you, chuckling lightly at the sight. You had your legs rested on the back of the couch, while your back was placed on the seat itself, allowing you to stare at the tv screen upside down.

“May I ask what are you doing?” He raises an eyebrow.

“I’m bored.” You shrug.

“Aren’t you watching a movie?” He motions to the tv screen before proceeding to type on his keyboard once more.

“It’s not a good one.” You huff, “and I’ve seen it before, anyway.”

He only hums in response, which left you rather unsatisfied.

“Come cuddle.” You call out, spreading your arms open.

He gives you sweet smile, “I’d love to, but, honey, I’m working now.”

You didn’t want to bug him, but he had plenty of time to work; he didn’t need to do it now.

“I’ll keep you warm.” That was your supposed attempt to tempt him into agreeing.

He lets out a laugh, “it’s mid-June; I’m pretty sure I’m warm enough already.”

You sigh before letting your arms drop to your side. You contemplate whether you should let him be or go on with your mission to annoy him until he agrees.

Before you could make your decision, you felt the couch sink next to you, making your head snap to the left to see the reason.

“Huh?” Was all you blurted out.

“I figured I could have a small break.” He smiles.

You rush to sit properly, “really?”

“Yup.” He chuckles, bringing you closer to him and wrapping you in a warm embrace, “It’s kind of hard to resist when you sit there pouting like that.”

“I-I wasn’t pouting!” You deny, your face growing hot. You weren’t pouting, were you?

“Whatever you say.” His chest vibrates with laughter.

“Don’t tease me!” You pull away a bit to hit his arm lightly.

“Okay, okay, I’ll stop!” The laughter was one thing he didn’t stop though. However, you couldn’t complain, for you found your own lips tilting into a smile. It was rare to see Yukiya laughing with such a carefree attitude, and it made you glad you were the reason.

When the laughter dies down, you look up at him with a mischievous smile. Softly, you begin planting kisses along his jawline.

“Hey, I said it was a small break!” He chuckles, pulling away slightly, but you could clearly tell he was blushing furiously and only trying to hide it.

“So? I wasn’t doing anything.” You shrug, feigning innocence.

“I believe you.” He responds sarcastically.

Regardless, he leans in, gently pecking your lips a few times.

You stare into each other’s eyes affectionately for a few seconds, before you decide to ruin the moment and jump lightly from your seat in excitement.

“I just remembered something!” You announce, “there’s this new store down the street; they sell cakes that look really delicious! Can we go buy some?”

“But..”

“Please?” You plead with the help of your best puppy eyes.

He holds back for a few seconds before sighing, “fine.”

You cheer, as you drag him out the front door into the street.

“Woah.” Your eyes widen in amazement, as the waiter places the desserts you each picked out in front of you along with your drinks.

“How is it?” Yukiya wonders, when you place a piece of the cake in your mouth.

“Wonderful!” You squeal, “try it!”

You stretch out your arm, holding the fork near his lips, waiting for him to taste the sweet treat.

He shyly takes the piece into his mouth, before his smile brightens, “it’s so good!”

“Try mine.” He repeats your action from earlier, and you comply.

“Their sweets are really tasty!” You place your hands on both your cheeks in delight.

“I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself.” He laughs lightly.

You giggle in response, “I am.”

It was like you were both high..on sugar. You kept grinning at each other like idiots throughout the night.

In fact, even after you were done with the food and drinks, something prevented you from leaving. You just remained seated, talking for god knows how long. All you know is that it was fairly late when you finally decided to leave.

It’s also fair to say, the small break didn’t seem to end any time soon, for you eventually found yourself entangled in each others arms between heaps of blankets and pillows, while a random movie was on.

You weren’t even sure what the movie was about; you were merely basking in the tranquillity and comfort that resulted from each other’s company.

“I should be working.” He states.

“No, stay.” You whine, sleepily.

He snickers, “I will, love.”

You felt him press a light kiss at the top of your head. He let his hand find its way to your hair, merrily playing with the loose strands. The repeated gesture and the relaxing position made it impossible not to fall- fall asleep or fall in love all over again, you couldn’t quite decide.
