my fave flavour of post-school drarry is where theyve gone separate ways in the years since school and developed as people individually, when they reunite theres still animosity but they have become someone the other can start to respect/ begin to understand

draco has gone through some level of soul searching and self improvement (probably has a lot of self loathing he still needs to get past) and is trying to teach himself to be better. has anxiety around his ability to make the right choices.

harry is seeking a life that doesn’t involve much attention being drawn to him, he’s had enough of fighting and seeks a humble career. has a tendency to be reclusive outside of close friends/spending time with teddy

I have this idea for my post-war fic that I’ve been working on in between other stuff that Draco wears really modest, practical clothing in his every day life, so when he gets a chance to dress up he really goes for it. Harry secretly thinks he looks like a toddlers birthday cake, but also finds it really endearing. Also I think that dress robes were criminally under explored visually and should be as flamboyant as possible lol
