False, my son is GenAlpha and we have prints of him all over the walls and 3 scrapbooks with printed photos of him- and he loves looking at them all.

You need back up in case the harddrive fails, the phone breaks, or you lose your cloud/drive log-in info. Somethings are just too precious to be left to 1s and 0s

Gen Z will probably be the last generation to have childhood photos in print.
