Yep. Not Only Seeing Ways For Developers To Communicate In Ways That Are Both Pruductive AND Nice.
Yep. Not only seeing ways for developers to communicate in ways that are both pruductive AND nice.
People also share their struggle, not only their catastrophes and successes. Which is far more important to deal with than the two other ones.
And people share learning/knowledge resources so you can save them, and find them when you need them for things!
It brings a MUCH better real view into how developers and people are. Because no one here is losing their job or real life status if they complain about their firms Management flaws.
So I'm new to Tumblr and I really hate social media in general...
I'm about my business, I'm a developer coding 24/7, would tumblr bring something unique to the table?

THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY FREAKING LIFE! IT IS SO FREAKING CUTE! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I made a beginner coding resource! 👩🏾💻💗

Hiya! 👩🏾💻💗
I made a coding infographic/slideshow for anyone getting into coding and are stuck! I'm seeing a lot of new codeblr blogs coming up recently and they're all beginners and I have been getting a lot of asks which basically all ask "I'm new to coding, how do I start?", so I decided to make this at 1am in the morning real quick! 🥲😭
I genuinely hope that this resource proves beneficial to someone out there. And remember, if you find yourself still facing challenges or need assistance with anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to help! ✨

I have... Basically lost and f*** I ever gave about being nice to companies if I do not have to.
I meantion when companies break GDPR on the front page of their website, either with google analytics or cookies ( If the option to opt in to using cookies or not is not equally easy. Then that is violating the law. )
I have asked questions when a firma liquidity is low ( IE, the firm might be bankrupt next month )
And brought up that writing a job posting without saying what the job pays, is the firm saying with the very first interaction " If it benefits us, we WILL withhold critical information from you"
Or how, if you do not have a policy forcing yourself to hire newly educated people a certain percentage at the time ( Either as an industry or as a firm ) then you are straight up not giving jobs to newly educated people. If you evaluate on a job basis, then experienced people are always better.
And if you then complain about how you cannot find experienced workers, it is your own fault.
I do not say these things to shame them. I say these things because these things make a company appear incompetent, disorganized and untrustworthy. And it is either actively hurting a firm, or is a ticking timebomb for them.
And each of these examples is internal systems and processes in the firm either failing or not existing. Without anyone in the firm noticing.
And I am a system designer. And I noticed these with minimal access to information. Hire me. Because you DESPERATELY need me.
Either I get the job, or that is not a firm I want to work for.

Well my bank just released a new banking app with really bad bugs 💀 well I might as well shoot my shot while I'm at it 🤷♀️
I look up the stupid printf argument format dozens a dozens of times every year, despite having coded C for almost a decade now...
me: has been coding for 6.5 years
also me:

Listen, it is not nice to call people out. Now stop blabbering and help me out. I need wheels with axils already attached so I can mount them on my robot. The software on him is a thing of beauty but apparently you need "Hard ware" to get the software to move around in meatspace and it is all sorts of bothers. /s
ok ive found some coding hashtags and they're way too wholesome. love yalls hustle but where is the chaos? the engineers that hate coding. but need it to continue going cause i have no other purpose. my blood stream is actually just bits. i want to die but not without my github on my tombstone.
From reading your entire blog more than once... I think yeah, a bit...
And it is also me...
I am wondering if this is something a lot of developers have... Or any other group defined by their work...
My life is a constant cycle between "I need to rest before I burn out" and "I'm wasting my potential, I should work harder"
