Time to piss off a bunch of people:

I do not imagine them sweet and outgoing. At all. They have no reason whatsoever to have these traits.

They were almost certainly raised with next to no affection; what little they did get would be awkward and fumbled. The next influence they had for an indefinite period of time was The Radiance, who I sincerely doubt taught them compassion. Where do people get off being convinced they're this sweet, gentle giant?

I cannot see Hollow - especially post Black Egg - being cuddly and outgoing; not even with their siblings (at least not at first). I know everyone plays up that they're sad but I do not see a lot of people acknowledge the weight of that sadness and what it often does to a person. A wounded animal is more likely to bite out of fear.

To be clear, I think they have a great capacity for kindness, but I think it's probably very strictly limited and you have to earn their trust -- they don't give that shit out easily or often. Trust gets you hurt.

I don't necessarily mean that they have to be mean, but acknowledge that you're gonna be working hard to get close to them.

They remind me of those people who befriend feral cats and the cats eventually try to communicate but they never learned to meow and purr, so their idea of how to be affectionate is through growls and hissing -- the noises they know how to make -- which come across wrong, but are not meant that way.

don't think i ever posted these. local knight becomes hollow, fights god, loses, gets sealed away, and becomes sad looking :(
