But every time whumpee is beaten/humiliated, it takes them longer to assume the submissive pose and force their eyes down

Whumpee losing bits of control as whumper catches them glaring, pausing to rest, or heaven forbid giving them the finger

Adding lashes and humiliations, each punishment worsens as whumper tries to get them "back under control"

Trembling lips as whumpee slumps to the floor after whumper leaves, realizing they may not ever escape, trying not to downright break down in tears

"What do you think you're doing, hm?" Whumper keeps trying to tilt whumpee's chin up. Whumpee doesn't have the strength to keep their voice submissive, so they don't answer.

Whumpee's attempts just visibly weak. "Yeah, yes sir, I know, i am quite an idiot sir," whumpee sighs as they plod away to follow orders.

Whumper deciding they're just not scared enough. Pulls out a whip and watches whumpee wince subtly.

When whumper orders whumpee to kneel in front of them, they stare blankly for just a moment too long before obeying.

One day whumper is being led back to the whipping post and they just, stop. "Whumpee? Walk." Whumpee turns on whumper. "Give me one goddamn reason why."

The punishments that land whumpee on the floor, curled in and sobbing for real this time. Whumper realizes in these moments whumpee seems like a completely different person.

"why do you suddenly think you can be defiant, whumpee?" Whumper toes their body after a particularly heavy beating. "I always was, man. I'm just... Tired of fucking pretending."

Fevers that come on suddenly. They’re fine in the morning, shaky and aching by the time they see caretaker at home that evening.

Stoic whumpees having panic attacks after a trauma. Trying to hide them because nobody else is having any reactions or the incident was minor.

Won’t go to the doctor and now has to go to the Emergency Room.

Whumpee that’s doubled over in pain. Caretaker has to help them walk, slowly.

Whumpee that’s too dizzy to stand. Caretaker makes them sit down and stay down.

Whumpee insisting they’re okay after a huge hit to the head just to immediately puke and almost pass out.

Feverish whumpee wakes up in a hospital and freaks out on caretaker. They have to be sedated.

Whumpee coming in and out of consciousness due to illness or pain medicine and having fragmented conversations with caretaker.

Whumpee hiding a long illness until caretaker notices weight loss and/or shaking hands one day.

Caretaker taking whumpee to the ER because they can’t hold down water long enough to take medicine.

Stoic whumpee that really, really can’t handle seeing his own blood.

Whumpee knowing they’re going to probably have to be intubated soon and trying to prepare caretaker.

“It’s not as bad as it looks,” when it actually is very much as bad as it looks.

“I’ve got it,” when they actually very much do not got it.

Whumpee has been sick or injured for a very long time and is super weak. Gets mad when they spill water trying to lift the cup to their mouth.

“I think something’s wrong,” after drinking something that tasted off.

Cold sweat knowing they’re going to be sick in a car.

Falling asleep standing up because they’re exhausted. Bonus if they’re talking to someone and suddenly wake up because they reached out to grab their arm as they swayed.

Whumpee getting the breath knocked out of them. Caretaker asking if they’re okay, but they can’t respond just lay on the ground and gasp for air.

The older of two siblings works to keep their younger sibling out of trouble. They endure emotional and physical pain daily just for their younger sibling.

The younger sibling is grateful, sure, but never knows the true extent of their sibling’s protection. They patch up their older sibling’s wounds while nagging them to be more careful. Sometimes they can come across as rude or uncaring, but they don’t know why their older sibling just won’t listen.
