I discovered it in 2022 and God. It did something to my brain. I loved it and hated it (I’m so scared of liminal spaces). It’s nostalgic, it’s comforting, it’s unsettling all at once and it makes me feel things I can’t explain. The game has been a subject of interpretation since its existence is as mysterious as its creator. It could be a big metaphor for escapism. To be alone in your own head because you have nowhere else to go.

It could be about trauma, or depression and self isolation. What I think, and what I think makes it beautiful, is that it could mean anything depending on who you are. You give it your own meaning because you might find your own experiences within it. And in a way that makes you feel less alone. Finding comfort in the darkness, yknow?
