Domestic mornings

A:N sorry this is so short I didn’t have a lot of time but enjoy!

It was an early winter morning, quite cool compared to California's usual temperatures. Ted was still asleep, his arms wrapped firmly around your waist as his chin rests on your shoulder.

Ted's eyes slowly fluttered open. He smiled widely and started placing little kisses on the crook of your neck and your ear, still keeping his arms around you.

“Baby” you say in a soft tone

Ted chuckled softly against your skin, the sound being low and hoarse, since he just woke up. His hands on your body started traveling, caressing your curves and curves, his lips never leaving your neck as he hummed happily

Ted slowly pulled you on top of him, so you were straddling him, his arms now snaked around your waist. He looked up at you, giving you a wide goofy grin, his messy hair sticking up at all ends

You kiss him softly and he passionately kisses you back.

“Cmon baby let’s get up and make breakfast.” You say softly

Ted groaned quietly, trying to hold you down

Babyyy...do we have to..? I wanna stay like this with you all day.

“Yes baby cmon. ” you say as you get up off of him and stretch a little bit before standing up.

“ Fiiine, if I haveee to.” He says a bit dramatically

Ted reluctantly sat up, running a hand through his hair and messing it up even more. He gave you a small grumpy glare, but it was obvious he didn't mean it. He still grabbed your hand, giving it a kiss before finally getting out of bed.

He stood up and stretched, groaning as he raised his arms above his head. His shirt rode up slightly, revealing a small glimpse of what's underneath it. He glanced over at you, his eyes lingering for a moment before he walked past you, bumping his shoulder into yours playfully

“You make the best breakfast anyway.” He mumbled, still grumpy, but not for the reason he was pretending to be. He sat down on a chair, leaning back and crossing his arms, but he was still watching you.

You walk into the kitchen and start to make pancakes as you softly sway to the music playing.

He pressed up close behind you, his arms wrapped around your waist, his chin resting on your shoulder. He hummed along to the music, his breath hot against your neck. He was very close, his body molded to yours like he was molded in your shape. His hands on your hips, guiding you as you swayed back and forth. Occasionally he would press little kisses behind your ear, or on your shoulder, just to get a reaction out of you.

Ted's hands slowly made their way under your shirt, his fingers splaying over your stomach and the bare skin there. He continued to kiss and nip at your neck, now slightly more hungry than sweet. He pressed himself even tighter against you, letting out a low groan as he felt how close you were.

“Stop that baby.” You say giggling a little

Ted chuckled against your neck, his breath hot on your skin.

“Why should I, when it's so much more fun to keep going?” He said, his hands slowly moving higher under your shirt, slowly feeling up your skin

“Alright baby you ready to eat?l” you say softly

Ted groaned in protest as you finished cooking, but he reluctantly stopped touching you and let go, knowing that you weren't going to give in. He sat down at the table, his arms crossed over his chest, an almost pouty look on his face. But even he couldn't resist the temptation of your food, and he perked up quickly, his mood improving at the sight of pancakes.

You bring the pancakes over to the small kitchen table.

Ted started eating, his face scrunching up slightly as he tried to wait for the pancakes to cool down enough to not burn his tongue. He ate several before speaking up.

“Y'know...breakfast was great, but I still think my favorite meal is you.” He said with a smirk and a wink.
