By the looks of it, this is a horrible grift to be pulling. And completely uncalled for. An attempt at Guilt tripping random people that can't afford to provide for themselves, let alone a family of (supposedly) at least 13 people, most of whom are children. There's a word for this. Extortion. And last I checked, that stuffs very illegal in the country I am in.

My suggestion? To those who are homeless, avoid the salvation army. There are better options for shelters that actually care about you and want to help. If no bodies come in to fill their bedbug riddled beds, no names to pad out their files, no mouths to feed their passed expiration "food," and no minds to indoctrinate, the lack of activity will be noticed by the government, there are too many cases of abuse caused by these people to allow that organization to continue. It's about time for them to be taken to task and sued by the thousands of families and individuals that have suffered and robbed of property and dignity. Their "paperwork" is essentially a predatory contract that, if shown to a legal council, would be thrown out faster than a complaining tenant. My advice to those that truly want to help the homeless communities is to interact directly with those you wish to help. If you want to help financially, set up a bank account or similar for them, do NOT give your money, time, food, or material donations to the Salvation Army.

Uhhhh... no, I'm probably more broke than you are. I'm not saying this to be mean or insensitive. I understand that being in your situation is incredibly sensitive, and if I had the ability to support your cause (or the ability to improve any part of what is happening over there), I would gladly help. The creatures that are responsible for the bombing and the absolute trash way that you and so many people are being treated there have no right to call themselves "humans." I do hope you can afford to get this much needed operation soon, though.
