There are some questionable stuff in this movie, but the things that I actually like in Death Island mostly lie in small and subtle moments such as the scene in the BSAA pantry(?) above.

The fact that Claire is casually making coffee there means that this is definitely not her first visit to the BSAA HQ, far from it. She obviously knows her way around the building and is comfortable enough to casually use its facilities. So it means that she definitely visits her brother Chris (and the others) pretty often there.

I like that scene because it offers a glimpse into the characters' lives and relationships outside of the nitty-gritty of fighting bioweapons.
