I recently became a cat dad to a kitten named zane Tennessee zell and while I have money for food and litter I’m not making enough currently to pay for vet bills fully. My aunt is helping me by paying half and for food if I need help, so I have a good support system in the house (there are seven people in my house four adults including my self and three kids)

Please don’t come at me for this, I’m doing everything I can to take care of zane he is my priority all money I earn and raise will go into paying vet bills and if needed for food and litter as well. Please know I’m doing everything in my power as a new adult to take care of this kitten.

My 10 cents is that majority of them will be dieties/mythological figures from the Investiture of the Gods.

We got Li Ling (Nezha) and Yun Chuan (Yang Jian, also known as Erlang Shen), and the man on the far left definitely has a nod towards to Jiang Ziya, the main focus of the novel.

I'm gonna be fr: I would LOVE to have a Jiang Ziya esper BUT the possibility of having alt characters daunt me.

I'm gonna cry both in a good way and a bad way shxhsbzbzbs

I don't understand the Pantheon crests in Dislyte. which sucks cause i'm trying to make one (ToT)

Okay so i'm currently making a esper for Cliodhna, a irish celtic goddess of love, maybe beauty, and is the banshee queen. Since there isn't any espers for celtic deities (yet) (hopefully), they need a custom pantheon crest! which then led me to look at the existing pantheon crests in Dislyte and. . . i literally don't get them. Like idk how they designed them. maybe it's because they're minimalist and my maximalist brain refuses to get them but like.... what? was going on when they designed them? like what inspired the design?

Looking at the japanese, chinese, and egyptian pantheon's crests i thought "oh maybe it's something like the culture's most popular symbol; cherry blossoms or some flower for japan, yin and yang for china, and pyramids for Egypt but like. What is that in the triangle for the egyptian pantheon. First i thought "okay circle = eye so eye of ra, the second most popular symbol from egypt for western audiences" but then there's the crescent under it so i went "okay maybe the sun and moon- idk the sun is pretty important in egyptian myth and ya can't have the sun without the moon so! yeah!" then i noticed the lines in the triangle and thought the curved lines were like a horizon line??? idk what the cut at the bottom could be???? so now i'm looking at it idk what to make of it other than "okay it's a design".

Anyway brief shoutout to Greek, Mesopotamia, and Aztec crests y'all are the most straightforward ones to me that fuels my idea that it's a culture's most signature iconography; Omega symbol for greek, the stars and sky for Mesopotamia since the major gods were tied to the sky, cosmos, or meteorological stuff, and (this may just be me) the tree for the aztec crest.

"How do you get "tree" from that?" it looks like i'm looking down a tree from above like. The four solid white branches are the branches (woah), the circle is the tree's body/trunk, and the four points in the cardinal directions make me think of roots; also could be a slight nod to the cardinal directions which were (from what i know) were kinda big in pre-colonial turtle island.

Anyway, back to not understanding the crests.

Norse.... you were tough to figure out for me.

Like this one honestly threw me for a loop cause i just could not get what it was before finding out about Odin's knot. Like i went through "okay maybe it's wind. Wind + sharp lines = cold. ice? nordic countries are pretty cold. norse ice? bifrost? bifrost wind? idk if i know enough about bifrost for it able to be wind so. honestly it looks like a rose though i don't think norse has enough prominent roses in it for it to be the crest's inspiration. Looks like a shuriken but those are japanese so no. a swirl???" then i found out about Odin's knot and my mind felt free like literal weights off my head and shoulders like the birds are singing and children are laughing while the sun whistles like it's a glorious day. Like i do think it's mostly Odin's knot but it may also take inspo from the triskelion since, with the knot, there's no middle piece. But with this crest there is and it feeds into/is the source for the spiral shape so i think it may be a mix of both the knot and triskelion.

Anyway

I literally don't know what the fuck this is. Like this could just be me not understanding korean iconography so that's why i'm not as upset as not getting it as i was when i was still figuring out the norse crest but.... i still wanna know what it is.

This basically turned into a study where i come to the conclusion; they're just popular cultural symbols for each group. Also like i found out about odin's knot and triskelion WHILE typing this post so. honestly kind of made this post defunt and not worth typing out but seeing as i didn't find any trivia about the crests on the fandom wiki, i just decided "maybe i can help a poor lost soul who doesn't know what the fuck is going on with the norse pantheon's crest may see this and go: OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH".

Now i just gotta design a crest for the celtic pantheon.
