⠀ My transition was a little different in that I had top surgery before I started testosterone. I did it this way for a few reasons… one being that my chest dysphoria was killing me but I wasn’t ready to publicly come out yet. I had been binding already for years so I figured I could probably get by without anyone noticing…testosterone on the other hand would be a little hard to hide 😬 ⠀ ⠀ I felt so much better in my skin after top surgery, and it gave me the confidence I needed to keep moving forward in my transition. I started testosterone a few months later, and then began documenting my transition more publicly. ⠀ ⠀ Crazy this was over 5 years ago now. I went from being completely terrified of anyone knowing I had top surgery, to documenting every last detail of my phalloplasty surgery, and not being able to keep a shirt on 😝⠀ ⠀ Just goes to show that if you are not happy with where you are in life right now, it is not where you have stay. Change isn’t easy by any means, but it is possible if you want it. 💪⠀
