We know that Mischa joined the Choir as a punishment for stealing the communal wine, so it makes sense that he's not interested much in the choir at all!

We also know that Penny Lamb has a history of criminal activity and behavior, from trafficking drugs to physical assault. I think maybe, after attacking a classmate or something, she was put into the choir as a softer punishment because Mrs. Peachery convinced Father Markus to let her serve her time there.

That's why it would make sense for her to be a very late edition to the choir, in my opinion. So late that she didn't have time to practice before the fall fair, so she was stuck out of that performance. This is why when they sing in the fall fair at the start she is not present.

Now my question is: why did no one recall Penny Lamb? Ocean would have no doubt been fretting over having to rework their parts of frequent songs/practices when she received word a new person was joining. Constance no doubt would have at least heard about it from Ocean, Mischa would probably not care and thus would most likely not remember and Noel I think liked Choir but just doesn't care for Ocean, so I feel like he'd at least be observant of people in the choir since it is something he somewhat enjoys, he's participating in it of his own free will after-all. Ricky is very observant, so I think he'd at least be aware of the new girl in their group.

So why does no one remember her?

Maybe Father Markus hadn't told any of the choir about her yet and was planning to after their Fall Fair routine, yet she was still registered as a member of the Choir. that way it wouldn't distract them from their performance. Many kids who got off from school went to the fall fair immediately, because it's finally something new and interesting in their hometown, and Penny was one of the kids who came by immediately after school. That's why she was in school uniform. and I think maybe she enjoyed watching the choir perform and wanted to try to strike up a conversation with them, but, as we know from Legoland, Penny is a very anxious person, so I think she'd chicken out the entire time, eventually joining in right behind the group when they got on the ride, hoping to maybe strike up a conversation while getting on or off the ride... but well... we know how that turned out.

This reminds me of something I've been thinking about a lot recently.

I can't remember why, but I was crying, and you know how even when you're done crying, your breath takes a minute to even out, and you still do those shaky/sniffely [ that isn't even a word ] inhales? Well, one day [ I think a few years back ] I was crying, I don't remember over what. I know that when I stopped, my breath wouldn't even out. I tried to get it to, but it wasn't within my control, and I just couldn't do it. I think it was my dad who got fed up or annoyed with it and asked me to stop, and I can't remember if I told him I couldn't or not. Maybe he didn't even say it at all? I don't know, but I think he did.

My mom ended up taking me on a drive since I REALLY like car rides. I think it was a drive around the neighborhood? I can't remember. I just remember her driving me around until I wasn't doing that shaky/jumpy breath thing anymore. Leo is me fr<3

☆ So you know those moments where you feel like...bad? And you go for a drive, and everything feels terrible, but you look out the window, and the view is so nice you just think, huh, i think i'm happy i'm alive...? That's what this wip was going to turn out to be but then I never finished it so...!!

☆ I had like colors I wanted to pick out and what the pretty scene would be, and I had a small storyline for the image (roadtrip meant to make Leo feel better cause he's like...depressed...) i'll pick this up again, maybe one day, hopefully!
