Good dog

Will I ever truly be a good dog? I am told repeatedly that I am good, and I try to be, I do! I am loyal and exist to serve my masters, yet I am muzzled.  They fear I will bite them because of my reputation.  I would never! I am truly a good dog, or at least I try to be. Will I ever truly be a good dog to them? Will they see me as the scared puppy I am instead of some deranged and feral mutt?  When will they see that I am nothing but a pup craving the warmth and love of a mother? If I am a good dog, why must I be muzzled?
