notes . . . inspired by this post that naya talked about and i just have to write this cute enemy prompt thingy going on.

“holy shit, what the fuck is that?”

there was a tale going around about some guy who beat the school's higher delinquents, all by himself, during the school's entry ceremony. according to the rumor, the guy they asked for is a well-known punk.

“chifuyu matsuno, right?”

chifuyu matsuno. a 12-year-old who has just graduated elementary school and is now enrolled in the junior high school where you are. a middle school freshman who beat up a gang of seniors on his first day of class by himself. what a completely out-of-control nutcase you perceive him to be, bit of a swaggering wild one.

although the rumors flying around your school, you seemed unconcerned. and you're also not someone who gives a damn behind about anything. so whenever someone brought up the latest tittle-tattle that was going on, you just shrugged it off.

at the very least, you didn't seem to care about the guy about whom everyone was talking before you met him. chifuyu matsuno is packing his belongings as you speak, standing next to your desk. he was about to miss the first lesson of the day when he noticed you countered him.

“holy shit, what the fuck is that?” as your initial impression of him, you inadvertently blurted out a scoffing reaction.

after making a cruel statement, the kid turned around and looked at the you. by the time his gaze was fixed on you, his piercing blue eyes and expressionless face were twisting your throat. “huh?”

you had no idea that your harrowing first meeting would turn into something far more meaningful in the future. when you consider it, it's actually very hilarious.

“the rumors weren’t wrong, eh? i’ve never seen anybody with that weird hairstyle before.”

he slung the bag behind his back and said, “i didn’t quite hear you, mind tell it to my face once again?”

as he conveyed the angry inquiry to you, his brows scrunched and his lips slightly opened. a new objective has been established! you simply have to go along with it and get into his skin as much as you can till he can't tolerate you any more.

“your hair looks like a fucking omelette, matsuno-san.”

nice! you were able to irritate him to a satisfactory degree. chifuyu swore that day that he was going to murder you for discriminating his marvelous art piece. how dare she talk about my hair when i styled it for one hour just for this snarky comment!

but little does he know…

as a result of your snide comments, chifuyu let out a mighty yell. "hey!" his pride was tarnished, but he didn't care. he angrily threw out his backpack and kicked the nearest desk from him, which is yours. "watch your freaking mouth."

"or else? you’re going to beat me up like those seniors you did yesterday?"

basically, all you did was smile and giggle in arrogance right in his face. it had been a rough week, so to intentionally tease him and get him upset was the last straw.

"lucky you’re a girl, otherwise i'd have landed a couple solid punches on your pretty face."

in the blink of an eye, chifuyu had snatched his bags from the floor and hurried out the door, leaving you all in the dust.

you were caught off guard when he inadvertently inserted the word "pretty" in between the ominous feeling sentences.

so you tease him back rather than giving a jerky reply, "ooh, so you think i'm pretty, matsuno?"

chifuyu raced down the corridors, dismissing your criticisms, as if there was something more essential than ministering your counterattacks. he may or may not stumble out that one word as a result of his anxiousness.

if you were nicer and friendly with chifuyu, he may really mean what he said to you.

"oi! comeback!"

and it's at this point when you meet your future husband.
