People who reblog art posts with detailed commentary in the tags, speculating or highlighting what they liked: I hope you find random $20 bills in your laundry pockets for the rest of your lives, and that they always have your favorite ice cream flavor in stock, and that strangers are always kind. I hope babies smile at you in checkout lines and fluffy animals befriend you for pats. I hope it always stops pouring right as you need to run outside, and your bank account never overdraws. I hope you die smiling in your sleep at a ripe old age with a hundred people at your funeral singing your praises of a life well lived.

I kinda feel like a lot of Snape or Dumbledore hate wouldn't be there if Harry hadn't name his child after them and called them brave. I think that caused many problems because Harry had a lot of people in his life that deserve the same grattitude and never understood his decision to choose them over others.

Well, people in fandom sure try to claim there were better characters for Harry to name his kids after. But imo Albus Severus’ names are perfect. And meaningful on a literary level, which a lot of fandomers ignore. 

Snape and Dumbledore both died fighting Voldemort. And yes, so did Remus, but he has Teddy to carry on his name. Hagrid didn’t die. Regulus was only a distant historical figure to Harry. Fred had five brothers to carry on his name if they chose to. Harry chose men who sacrificed their lives fighting Voldemort and who had no one else to preserve their legacies.

There are reasons why Harry chose those names, reasons that tie directly into the series’ core themes. Rejecting them shows a lack of understanding of Harry as a character and the story as a whole.
