True story! I was revising my works, fanfiction to be specific. I realized, it's much easier to edit after we finish the whole story or edit after you're out of idea. I got stress and burnout from brainstorming what will happen next for a story last time... Shouldn't have done that...

Since i can get "writing a story deprivation", i find editing to fill the "deprivation" appealing. Idk if this is a good idea, but it happens to me.

Rereading is indeed helps a lot to get back to track.

P/S: I am a plantser, i love plotting but i can get lazy with it 😭.

Reminder not to edit while you write. You want to finish that story someday? Then stop editing while you write!

Fixing an obvious error/typo in the sentence you just wrote is fine, but we're not talking about that. Do not reread, do not continue searching for errors, do not even spellcheck in case that leads you down the editing rabbithole.

Finish the story. The clock is ticking on that muse and distractions waste precious time!
